Just to let everyone know that we will not be staging the cross country this year as another club had offered to do it.
See the thank you reply, below, from the organisers.
To Dave Smith, Liam Bradley (Aldridge RC)
On behalf of the League may I thank Aldridge for their very kind offer to stage the Div 3 December fixture but Droitwich AC have already offered to stage the fixture and the League has accepted it.
Perhaps you could offer to stage a fixture next year ?
We hope you have an exciting and competitive seasom. regards Dave McNamee

Hi everyone. I don't know if any one would like this option.
Hi Liam, please excuse this unusual approach. I was just wondering if any of your members or families may be interested in joining The Birmingham Hash House Harriers on some of their events in the local area. If you are not aware of Hashing, it is a fun way for all levels of runners (& indeed their family members) to run & get fit at the same time. They are very sociable events as they always start & finish at a local pub.
Runners (& even walkers) of all abilities can take part as the faster runners are often penalised so that the slower ones catch up.
For serious runners it can provide a good fartleck training, indeed my race times improved when I start to do hash runs. If you go to the following site it will give you details of our next event & links to our main site: www.eze-europe.com/hash.htm Geoff
PS if you have a notice board available I could send a post card for you to put on it.

The Staffs Knot 5 Mile race is on Wed 13th August at 7.15pm. You can enter on the night and the start is at Cannock Chase Visitor Centre. I am arranging to go for a carvery meal at the Turf pub afterwards but I would like to prewarn them that we will be getting there late and how many people are going to turn up. If anyone is interested can they please let me know in advance. You can let me know via the message board or e-mail me on melbrown62@hotmail.co.uk Thanks very much.
