I can not beleive that George Deabold and Frank Gerace the President and founders of this website and are supposed to be child advocates would allow people to come on their website and make posts about children. How could people who claim to care about children let such horrific things go on, on a website that claims to care about children?

East Islip recently held its homecoming parade with a float theme of games. What was the athletes float....BEER PONG????

So a certain board member's miscreant son vandalized a school bus and was finally suspended. Too bad he only got suspended from track and not school all together. This little miscreant stole from the school district (aka the taxpayers) and sold the items on E-Bay. He got caught, but absolutely nothing happened! Now I'm sure the district (aka the taxpayers) will have to pay to fix the damaged bus seat. Any other kid would've been suspended from school and arrested after the first incident, which was theft. Boy, it sure pays to have a dad on the BOE!

Once AGAIN, I don't see East Islip listed for any Siemens science competition regional finalists. Yet, the Concerned Parents and the rest of the little losers will keep bullshitting us with their lies about high pay equals high quality teachers. Maybe in those other districts, but definitely not here in good ole East Islip. East Islip parents are too lazy to parent and all the district cares about is sports. What a bunch of white trash losers.

Are Teacher Colleges Turning out Mediocrity?

On Thursday, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan went to Columbia University's Teachers College, the oldest teacher-training school in the nation, and delivered a speech blasting the education schools that have trained the majority of the 3.2 million teachers working in U.S. public schools today. "By almost any standard, many if not most of the nation's 1,450 schools, colleges and departments of education are doing a mediocre job of preparing teachers for the realities of the 21st century classroom."

Concern over the ability of teacher colleges to produce effective teachers has long existed and only increased as the focus of education policy has turned to accountability and data. As Duncan points out, one of his predecessors, Richard Riley, put ed colleges on notice a full decade ago.

YET THE TEACHERS IN EAST ISLIP, AND THE BOZOS THAT BACK THEM, KEEP TELLING US THEY DESERVE THE HIGH PAY BECAUSE THEY'RE HIGH QUALITY. I DOUBT ANY OF THEM WENT TO A TOP NOTCH TEACHING SCHOOL. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP THEY'VE BEEN FEEDING THE COMMUNITY FOR YEARS AND YEARS.....

Bethpage High School suspended 12 student-athletes for the remainder of the fall season for violating an agreement that mandates athletes "abstain from the possession or use of alcohol," according to a statement issued by district Superintendent Terrence Clark.

Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone says current sex offender residency restrictions could be pushing offenders underground and away from law enforcement - citing a two-year analysis of the addresses of sex offenders living in the town that found nearly one-third were not residing at the locations listed on the state's sex offender registry.

The report also stated that, as of Sept. 24, eight of the 17 sex offenders never lived at the locations where they were registered, and 50 of Babylon's 57 registered sex offenders were registered at addresses from which they were barred by residency restrictions.

Marty Schwartz is smart enough to know that you don't allow posts filled with rumors and misinformation regarding a child to be posted on a public website. YOU WOULD THINK THAT A "CHILD ADVOCATE" like GEORGE DEABOLD THE PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER OF THIS WEBSITE would know that and would be appalled by people posting things like that and he would not tolerate it either.

How come no one is on SCHWARTZ any longer ?? Is it because M.Schwartz does not believe in freedom of speech ? could it be he violates our constitutional rights ? When someone posts the truth that another person or group of persons does not want the public to read it is taken down and the author is banned from using the blog. We all know how to get around that ban however that is not the point.

Sex offenders is just the piss poor excuse some parents give for wanting their kids to have a bus. They think the offender is chained to their home and not allowed out. Stupid idiots are just too lazy to be parents. They want the rest of the community to foot the bill so they don't have to be responsible parents.

Meanwhile, these same parents who cry "it's not safe" don't give a crap that the district does nothing about TEACHERS WHO HAVE SEX WITH THEIR STUDENTS, HIT THEIR STUDENTS WITH BASEBALL BATS, AND SERVE THEIR STUDENTS ALCOHOL AT PARTIES.
