With all the people out of work, and all the forclosures, I hope the E I taxpayers look gook at the next budget before voting yes on any increase next year. How high are you willing to go? Soon all the grandparents and new collage grads will be gone, because they can't afford to live here. I think a lot of them already left. As the teachers say, if you can't afford to live here, move.

The union president is entitled to a pension...This is not an issue. Do not waste your time on this issue, the district has many other important issues that the community should be focusing on. The contract indicates that the union president have no more than two (2) teaching periods on the secondary level, or 1/2 day assignment on the elementary level or can elect to serve in a regular substitute capacity for a maximum of sixty (60) days during the school year. The President will notify the District of the option selected no later than June 1 for the following year.

The union president is an employee of the district, and is entitled to all the benefits, this includes a penison. The association pays the district $15,000 annually.

The contract needs to be reveiwed. Just because someone says its so doesn't mean it is so. And what about Nancy? After all the stuff she puts out there, "Oh, it's for the kids.", "Protect your property values.", all she REALLY cares about is getting her $130,000 per year and protecting her pension for doing nothing for the community that pays her salary. The truth, like the cream, always rises to the top, where the public will see it.

"WTG EI. Great job on those math scores !!! Looks to me like are kids are getting a great education :)"

If taken at face value. A little analysis shows scores were up remarkably in every district in the state. Is the education better or were the tests made easier?

Of course the tests were easier! Can't wait to see the English scores.

BTW Why is it when the scores are low, it's the parents' fault but when the scores are high, the teachers are to be thanked? Very convoluted thinking on the part of the little losers club, don't you think?

Tom Barry? Never heard of him! What does he teach? Or should I say what DID he teach since his job now is EITA president.

He will not last too long if he "works both sides!" We must remember his purpose is to represent the union. If he starts caring about the kids and the community, he'll get voted out next year!!
