Sal S., Fact of the matter is Frank has more intestinal fortitude in his little pinkie than you have in your whole body. I see him at BOE meetings ALL the time. But WHERE are you. When the Flamio fungus gets cured, THEN the community can move ahead. The old saying, actions speak louder than words. Well, I've seen my taxes go up 25% over the past 3 years. I've spent my weekends washing cars, among other things trying to raise money for sports programs that should have never been cancelled in the first place. I then see the teachers get rewarded with a new contract that includes family dental. Glen Reed seems like a good man, but, his association with Pat Flamio turned me away from him. For Kim to claim she saved the taxpayers money is just blowing smoke.

I want to thank all the comunnity members that took the wind out of the Concerned parents groups sails.Word is now going around that they will not be backing anyone for the board this year.I think the groups time has come and gone and its over for them.I feel that that is a good thing and now its time to free the community of this "Teachers Union" controlled board.I ask that we as a community dont forget who voted yes for that very fat teachers contract,it was not only Kim it was also Terri Lyons.I feel that they both have to be voted off the board, this year Kim's seat is up, get her out ! Vote her off ! Best of luck to all.

I guess Mark Hannigan will start another website claiming that the articles in Suffolk life and Newsday were just made up lies written by the people from Schoolwatch.
Why is Mark Hannigan determined to make life difficult for people in this community?

Talk about Lies, what about all the bs that Flamio and his two hag friends tried to sell the public. It all turned out to be 100 % bull chips. I trust MR.G & Mr.D AND Mr.Arena - They were right about all the money that the district had.(Millions!)
Its budget and board vote time and I think the people you cant trust are Janet Schmidt,Patrica Slawson and Patrick Flamio. Please keep in mind they all used to be very vocal and post under their own names ,well not any more and I think thats due to the fact that they were all shown to be liars !
So just maybe the school watch people were right when they said, That they would not trust schmidt or slawson to run a lemonaid stand ! I also remember when the X-Vice Presedent of the Booster club Bill Shea said, "Concerned parents= Confused Parents"
So what do janet patty and pat have to say now ? Now that the Conserned parents group's name is mudd ? Now that Patrick Flamio and his group have been exposed? Now that no member of this community who is running for the board seeks the indorsment of or wants to be linked to the concerned parents group ?
LETS SEE ! Who Could Sal S. be ? Who is Sal S. going to vote for ? So Sal S. are you happy with kim Phillips ? Lets see a vote for kim sign on your lawn ! How about you janet, pat and patty put some signs out,so we can see who you want on the board.I dont think any of you have the nerve ! JUST LIKE YOU LOST YOUR NERVE TO POST IN PUBLIC !
Thanks Mr.S Lopez

They always show the tax increase on a $40,000 home. In 07 the increase for a $40,000 home was $616, in 08 $415,in 09 $242. Thats $1,273 in 3 years. How many people have a house over $40,000? How can we keep up at this pace? The kids just out of college and the senior citizens can't afford to keep up at this pace. They will all be gone soon. This board has raised our school taxes 25% in 3 years. The budget was passed last year because the people of East Islip thought the board was with us on the teacher's contract. They proved us wrong giving the union the bonus and full family dental. The raise was enough. This board has taken away from the kids and our familys to give to the union. They padded the budget so much the past 2 years they had almost 6 million dollars left over, while our kids washed cars in summer heat to pay for sports,we paid our taxes and had to do without. They have to go before the next teacher's contract comes due. Vote for Rufone and Gerace.

That's funny,
Mr. Gerace was at Stop & Shop today. He handed me one of his flyers.
I did not see any police though.

Who's lying now?
Concerned Parents posted this on My East Islip. These people will print anything to maintain their majority on the board. You may revel in their published stupidity.
Frank is a mere puppet for good ole Georgie boy. We all now how unstable this group is. Just go take a look at their "schoolwatch" website. If that's not enough for you think about this.
Frank didn't even show up for meet the candidate night. Frank posts of "open communication" with the community. Yet, when Frank had the opportunity to sit next to the other candidates and answer the same questions that were posed to them he chose not to show up. Instead his posse brags that instead of Frank going to meet the candidate night Frank went to stop & shop and handed out fliers in a parking lot ( something that he knows is against the law, the police informed him of that when they made him leave waldbaums) So even though it's against the law Frank did it anyway. Frank feels that laws and rules apply to everyone else but him. ? Remember his posts regarding NY state and the calculators and how they were not following the law. Well, We must make sure that Frank follows the laws. So folks if anyone sees Frank handing out fliers at supermarkets and such, he need to have permission from the corporate office to do such. So please make it your civic duty to pick up the phone and call 911 immediately and report such wrong doings.
There was quite a scene at Stop and Shop today. An old man was coughing into his hankerchief, and a member of concerned parents saw this, thought it was Frank handing out fliers, and called 911. After a brief investigation, the man was released to his own recognizence. East Islip can now rest assured, concerned parents are on the job. Your citzens salute you.

WHACK - A- MOLE ! Every time that "CONCERNED PARENTS GROUP" sticks its phony head up,the school watch people bang them on the head and drive them under ground ! So now the group is getting bounced off of local websites. (nice work Mr.ARENA)
I think the new chamber group did the right thing.I also feel that mark hannigin may drive people away from the group.I have been told that people in town want nothing to do with mark his website or any org. mark is part of. (I guess they brought their "A GAME" Mr.Flamio)

What about the grandparents that are living on social security. I for one know they received 2.3% cost of living this year and they took that for an increase in medicare. How the government figured the cost of living at 2.3% is beyond me. They must be relatives of our school board. The board says any senior citizen ( a couple )making over $32,000 a year from both social securitys shouldn't get a break on school taxes. They don't know that medicare comes out of that before we even see it. If you pay almost $9,000 taxes, how do they expect them to pay for medicine, copays, fuel, electric, gas cable, telephone, to take and pick up grandchildren, food clothing, dentist, doctors co pays, xray copays, HMO insurance, house insurance, and car insurance? The whole world is not make up of school employees that have most of this paid for them. Who decided on the amount of $32,000 limit on school taxes? Don't these people have grandparents that take medication, and are doing without food to pay for it?

SUFFOLK LIFE
04/30/2008 Are Your Real Estate Taxes By: David J. Willmott Sr.
Do you realize that Long Islanders spend 63% more to educate a student than their counterparts in the rest of the state?
We don't know about you but this does not sit well with Suffolk Life. We might be able to swallow this huge increase over the average if our students were being 63% better educated than their peers. When we look at the achievement records, the placement on scores, we barely see a difference between Long Island and how the pupils are performing Upstate. We do see a lot of families, both young and old, being pushed out of their homes by the insatiable appetite of the educational system. It seems no matter how much the state increases state aid, the school boards find ways of spending it faster. If you can't afford it, why drive a Cadillac when a Chevrolet will do? Both will get you from point "A" to point "B," one at half the cost of the other. During the next month, all school districts will present their budgets to the public for scrutiny. You will be asked to vote on May 20 for your school budget. This is the year to be selfish. Do you have any children in the district? Do you believe we are spending too much on education? Is the budget being offered beyond the rate of inflation? Has the tax rate been lowered by the increases in state aid? We have all heard the rallying cry of "it's for the kids." Unfortunately, over the last year or two, we have found out that we have had school officials sticking their hands in the cookie jar and stealing millions of dollars. We have recently learned that there are a number of attorneys who have been illegally claiming pension credits, claiming that they were full-time employees of school districts. In reality, these attorneys were independent contractors, working on an hourly basis. As time goes on, we are sure there will be many more additional misuses brought to the public's attention and we will all realize that it wasn't for the kids but for the greed of some of those in the establishment. New York State will be facing a huge financial crisis in the coming year. We all have to cut back, every branch of government. There should be no sacred cows.
Vote your conscience on May 20.
And why not?

Sally S.-Yes its true that Mr.Gerace did not go to meet the "candidates" What a waste of time that turned out to be !I dont think anyone trust the pta to host such an event.I think its very well known that the pta picks the questions. What a poor turn out, noone went the public opted out. What a sorry ass meeting that turned out to be,noone called kim to the mat and asked her why she sold out the children for her teacher pals.I think the best thing about the meeting was the flyer's that the dump kim people put on all the cars.(funny)
