Fees, fees, fees.... when will we learn. I have started using drop.com. You can visit them here

The are essentially the first and only online clearance rack where you enter a high price and a low price and drop.com will drop the price until someone buys it.

They do not charge any fees for basic listings, and do not charge you any fees if it sells. Ahhh... the way the internet should be... FREE!!!!

Here is my link page. Anyone who wants to exchange links, let me know and I'll add you to the site, and you can add me to yours. Only non-Ebay sites will be accepted.

Here it folks! My new trading card and it's a doozy. Please support it. Spread the word around. Put it on any site that features tasteless auctions. Just do me proud. :)

There is a lot of activity going on at http://www.powersellersunite.com about the ebay fee hike. That site has a lot of great information about alterative auction sites to ebay.

Ok, some people have not been able to figure out how to sign on here and post. If anyone has problems, feel free to send me your messages or auctions and I'll post them for you. Keep passing the word around about this topic.

Julianne.a user id on Ebay asked that I promote her auctions, so visit her and support her.

Laurie at VITALFINDS on Ebay created this video. Please watch and spread the word. She even used my A$$. :)

Sorry, I forgot I wanted to cover one other thing. For those who haven't seen some of my posts in various threads, I chose to close my store on 9/11. I'm showing tribute to those who lost their lives 5 years ago. I will mourn their loss along with the loss of my store. I'm asking those of you who are closing their store to please do the same on this day. If you're keeping your store longer than that, then I ask you put your store on vacation for that day only in support of this. Thanks for everything.

Spread the word about this topic and let's get all the sellers here. I'm throwing out a few things for all to see as to what the future holds.

1. Ioffer.com offers free listings. They also have free imports for all your Ebay items. That also goes for items that have ended with no bids and with successful bids for some reason. You look at each item, make a few category changes if necessary, and then activate them. I have all my Ebay items now on Ioffer. One other thing is that you can import your feedback from Ebay. Besides Ebay, you can pull in stuff from Overstock, Yahoo, Bidville I believe, and a few more. Check their site for details.

2. Wagglepop as some have mentioned has stores for $9.95 per month. This is reasonable. They charge nothing to list once you have a store, and that is in any format. They are working on their own bulklister, which I was told will be able to also import from Ebay. I was hoping it could import from Turbo Lister.

3. Bidville offers you a store for $99.95, which is a featured store. THis price is for 1 YEAR of service. The benefit of this is that there are NO FEES WHATSOEVER. If you have a featured store, you pay nothing to list and nothing upon sale. I'm assuming bonus features will cost. They have yet to answer whether or not they can bulk import. One thing to note is that last night I could not access their store link. Not sure if they are having problems or not. One good thing about this is if you are watching the powersellers auctionwatch, Bidville is ranked 3rd on the list of active listings.

4. Please don't take my idea until I get it up and running. I am creating a trading card of myself. The picture is going to be pretty funny, and besides my ass, you'll finally get to see my face. :) What I'd like to do is throw the idea out for all sellers to create their own trading cards, or possibly have me create them for you. You can create cards based on yourself, meaning you are on the photo, or highlighting protest items that you've put on, possibly even got pulled. I will make a KISS MY A$$ card using my photo of the card, and the highlights. Like when it was listed, when it ended, how much it sold for, who the winner was, and possibly a few other details as in who made it and such. But all I ask if you like this idea, to please wait for me to start mine first. I put a (C)2006 Red Door Trading Cards, Inc on the back, even though the company doesn't exist. It will be for all of us with the red doors next to our name, and those who used to have red doors. Give me your input on this. Also, if you print for a living, maybe we can consider making these professionally at a minimal cost.

5. Yahoo - I believe yahoo still gives free auctions. They were ranked 4 on the list of activing listings. Not sure if Yahoo is the way to go.

6. Yahoo website - I bought my domain name, www.gpdcomics.com from Yahoo last week. It cost only $2.99. Right now I have the page showing my various websites or most of them. I will probably have this directly link to my main website, which btw is free. Check out Tripod.com for a 20mb free website. Also, you can create others. I made a video game website with them too. If you'd like to see what I've done, visit http://gpdomics.tripod.com and http://gpdgames.tripod.com.

If you guys come up with cool ideas you'd like to share, feel free to do them. If you want, link specifically to your auctions on any site so we can bid and support them. Another thing is ask questions with the link to your own auctions so people can spread the word that way. Thanks.

Phil

Hi everyone. Yes, we opened a wagglepop store yesterday also and I listed 1 item to see how the listing process went. Not bad. HTML editor a little different than we're used to. Changed some code on our template. I am sitting here now in the process of making a WP version of my template so listing there will go easier for me after I get this done. Amazing they have gone from approximately 100 stores just before the fee hike announcement, to just over 400 stores today! The atmosphere there is upbeat and customer service is 1000% better than you know who. I asked 2 questions on their boards last night and both had answers when I woke up this morning. Other sellers are also very positive and helpful to newcomers on the boards. Site is in its infancy and still working itself out in some ways I believe. I'm sure they didn't expect this flood of new store owners so fast either! Well, that's my 2¢ for the day.

After 2 years of hard work and 100% compliance with eBay's rules, etc. and getting nothing in return, we have just set up a store on wagglepop. It's just taking off but if enough of us sell on that site I believe it could just be the one place to give eBay some stiff competition. Besides eBay doesn't want us store sellers anyway. Check out wagglepop!
