The old website (KVVFR.ORG) is temporarily out of service; so until we can get it repaired, please go to http://cs12.simplehost.com/~kvfr1174/ for updates and information.

AVTT WALL-I'm looking forward to attending the reunion again, F-S. I'll be bringing my extra chair for Vets at the perimeter of the WALL, will once again be handing out BANDAID FOR THE HEART medals to Vets and Gold Star Families, and will be welcoming home belatedly the Nam/Era/Korean War Vets via song.

hey all I just found this page... yes im a little slow arent I.. great time once again this year at the 20th reunion,,, look forward to many more.. I lost Tedett this year at the reunion... to all that dont know Tedett,, she is a teddy bear that i have had since 1990 that the Iceman ((Jim Lawrence )) won for me at a fair on OKC.. Tedett has had a very bad reputation at the reunion as most of you know.. I had her and Mr bear in a Bag getting ready to return them back to Jessie ((Mike Sinclairs daughter )) as we took turns babysitting the two.. I went to find her Sunday and she was no where to be found.. I hate to think but have a feeling that the bag got tossed in the dumpster..A very fine reward for Tedett and Mr bear.. well I guess i had better talk to Mr sinclair about that first . ha ha ha See you all next year Janet The One and Only Icelady

Mr. Delgado

Please understand, The KVVFR is not going away, it is evolving. The KVVFR is an awesome event, and because it has made such an impact on so many veterans it was decided by the founder and reunion staff that something had to be done to ensure this reunion did not fade away, as so many other reunions have, as you and other elder warriors get older. I was honored to be asked to lead this "transformation" of the reunion into the future and that is exactly what I plan to do. The new name was chosen by the founder and current staff so that all veterans would recognize that this great reunion was "their" reunion...a place to come to reunite with those they served with and to meet others to share their experiences with...regardless of where they served. The spirit and traditions of this reunion will not change...they will continue.

In the past the KVVFR has become a place of great healing and fellowship but unless veterans of more recent conflicts are pulled into the fold then eventually the KVVFR would cease to exsist. We the staff, will not let that happen.

We were all fully aware that there would be some Vietnam veterans that would not be pleased with this change but I implore you to to give it a chance and continue to attend future reunions. We as veterans are all brothers and although we may have walked different ground...the blood spilt is still the same American blood. The same issues effecting the Vietnam Veterans are still effecting younger veterans. The biggest difference is that because of the experiences of the Vietnam Vets, many have sworn that no other service member would ever be treated as they were when they returned home.

I am extremely proud to call the founder and staff of the KVVFR my brothers and second family...the reunion they created and ran made a huge impact on my well being upon my return home from Iraq.

I am open to suggestions that you and any others would like to make to make our reunion better than it already is...the future is what we make it.

Just wanted to applaud the staff and all the volunteers for the 20th KVVFR. It was fantastic. You guys outdid yourselves this year. Thank you for all of your hard work over the last 20 years. My family only found you about 5 years ago and I think that it is one of the best things that we do to come back together every year. We are all truly blessed and we appreciate everything that you do for all veterans every year. You will be missed. Good job all. :)

Dean,
I was there when the reunion was born. No one is taking anything away. The reach of the reunion will only get bigger as we help our younger brothers who have come behind us. It's up to us to insure that they are not treated the way we were. Hope to see you there this year. Welcome home brother!

To Dean Delgado:
Dean, remember how we (Vietnam Vets) felt 40 years ago? No body cared. We got together and started the Reunion and we helped each other to overcome. Now we have the chance to help our younger brother so they don't go through what we did. If we don't do this we're no better than those who forgot us. Because the name is changing mean nothing. once a soldier always a soldier. Once a brother always a brother. The Vietnam Vets will still be there. Hooha!!!

20 years ago I started to attend this Reunion.....
No one but Vietnam Veterans came,
No one but the Vietnam Veterans cared,
No one gave the Vietnam Veterans a thing,
But still we had a Reunion,
Now it will be used for everybody.
For me they take away the one place that
I could go and be at peace with-in a short drive from home.
Thanks for the Reunions, but now they don't belong to us
any more. Good luck and maybe some one will remember us, God Bless
