/m38668 If you switch to NRLCA plan you have to pay dues to keep it into retirement. Check out GEHA. Everyone in my office has switched to it and put the difference into an FSA.

billy whit /m38665 I agree that you did the right thing. I thought for sure that you had some 1982-1985 sub years. I am glad that you didn't. It cost me around 14000 bucks to buy all my time back. I think it was 6000 some odd for the 82-85 years and over 8000 for the pre 82 years. I am so glad that I am out of that rat hole. I can sure understand why so many postal employees "go postal".

jimbo /m38668 That is a good question. I have the rural carries insurance. My premium will be about 130 a month for single as long as I stay a union member. I think the bc/bs is very expensive after retirement. That is what I heard. I don't know for sure. Mine is not as good a blue cross, but for the price.....I think it is great.

Columbo//38664// I would say you done the smart thing,I was pre 1982, I did
not think it worth it, i choose to keep high life insurance, as i am not in the best of health, i also think i done the smart thing, want to protect my wife , I can collect SSI in Feb, I will be 62, I decided to take it at 62 before Obama changes it to 80, to pay for his healthcare plan,I won't make it,Lol, i am glad we can now have conversations like this
without the hatchets, you where right, I should have said Trick or Treat,
would have cut down on my injuries, LOL Billy

billy whit /m38658 Very funny. But, you should have said "trick or treat" instead of "healthcare plan". I just wanted to ask if you ever did check into buying your sub time back. I bought mine back and the 1982-1985 years bring me in around 3600 bucks a year. The other pre-1982 years only bring in around a thousand a year, but after 10 years it is all profit for me. I am pretty sure I did the smart thing by buy the time. Hopefully I will live over 10 more years.

To all, hey, I just got back from trick or treating, I had a really bad night, I was chased down one street by an angry mob with a rope, they kept
shouting lynch him ? on the next street i was hit in the right knee with a large rock from a slingshot, i rounded the corner and headed home, thats when i was hit 3 times times in the left rear-end cheek with a bb gun, the bill at local emergency room was 650 dollars, and my health insurance plan will only pay 35 dollars, a high price to pay for a peanut butter
cup and a stale pack of cupcakes, I guess its just the bad economey, or
maybe i made a big mistake using that Barrak Obama mask,?? lol Billy

I would have saved this for a saturday fun night, but i guess there gone
forever, Billy
