here's a good one...oic said she would pay the rural rt. carriers 2 min. a mile and 4:28 to deliver rts. other than your own for late express mail and only the 2 min. a mile if you deliver a late express for your own rt.
what do you all think of this??? we have a grievance in for delivering other rts. and another for no loading time to deliver late express mail...WTF

leftyatdoon /m31921 I am not sure what you mean. Are you an "L" route? If not, then you get 2 minutes per box and 12 minutes per mile a week. That gives you the hours a week. Hope this helps, if not please repost your question. I am sure some of the smart ones can answer your question.

So why is it carriers can face vehicle code fines if the states can't regulate?

aheymish /m31917 -- because it is postal policy that we observe state driving laws.

/m31897 If the seatbelt regulation is the result of states not being able to regulate a federal agency, why are on duty carriers subject to the state vehicle code at all?

Hey, I woke up today and I have an unusually good feeling. I didn't dread
getting up at all. The reason is simple. It is the day after a Monday
holiday and for the first time, I don't have to go deliver two days of mail
in one day. This retired thing is long overdue. If you cam afford the
early retirement, I recommend it.

Just had to rub it in a little. Don't get too mad at me.
