Prayers are with you Shirley!!
We had a wonderful 2 weeks with Bren[our granddaughter]. We took her back to Tenn. on the 13th and met our daughter and husband. We had alot of traffic and rain in Al., on way home. We stopped and got more peaches, and they were so good.
We went to Foley,Al., this past weekend and met our son and family to do some shopping. It was too hot and after 4 hours I was ready to come home.We stopped in Loxley,Al., and got fresh vegetables. Got Rita and I some fresh corn and so good.
It has been so hot here, already 100 today, have no idea what the heat index is, know over 110 yesterday.
Anxious for August to come!

From Pat, Merritt Island, FL: Greetings! Sure has been hot here - even for me. Sittin' on the porch, rockin' and watch the river roll by and plenty of iced refreshments. Don't worry ladies, that is why "our house" has a pool and other cooling amenities. 43 days and counting!
   My prayers go out to all of you in need and I could use a few myself. My uncle is not doing well and I am the decision maker as his medical staff deems him incompetent to make decisions on transfusions, feeding tubes, etc. Second hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life.

Hi and hello from steamy Podunk! Got back from visiting/camping at Mom's, hot and steamy there too. Did get some fishing in, but even the fish thought it was too hot..lol! And it rained every day..and has here too since we've been home. Everytime we try to mow, it starts raining..grrr. As it's clouding up now. Oh well, guess we'll have to bale the grass and we can sell it..ha ha So I've cleaned up the camper and need to restock for the 4th of July weekend, when we're heading back south for a week.

Miz Shirley: my prayers are with you and for the time to come. You just take it easy and do what the doc says. Hug!!

Doe: what a great b-day present! When's the next trip??
Rita: glad to hear Brian is doing well.
Pat/FL: my prayers are with you and your uncle also.

Guess I'll go batten the hatches again. Looks kinda stormy again.

I too can use all the prayers. Saturday morning my husband was trimming palmettos and I was carrying them to the street. Being a clutz I managed to trim over the debris and fell on the concrete driveway. After a 911 ride to the hospital it was determined that I have both a posterior and anterior fracture of the pelvis. Physical therapist was here today and said it will take 6 to 8 weeks to recover. Therefore I may or not make it to New Smyrna Beach. Our very badly destroyed home (from the terrible rain wind storm in May should be restored about the same time. We are looking forward to a double restoration of Jackie and the house at the same time. Will keep in touch.

Thanks for banging the pans Shirley! Time for everyone to check in! Just trying to catch up on email. Really didn't spend much time on the computer this week and with being gone part of the previous week there is a lot in the ole mail box. GSEE is getting close! I too am starting to get excited. It will be good to see Pam again and I am so anxious to meet everyone else! Wish you could be there there Shirley, Treva, Leasea and others! I am so excited about getting to meet Maggie and family and Carol too! Not much going on around here-just the usual laundry and weekend chores. God BLess All!

I'm here just living one day at a time now. Next on the agenda is my birthday party on the 4th. The whole family thinks they will be here to be with me since I can't do much traveling. There should be around 25 or 30 according to the response to Beth's invitation. I should have thought they would have waited until next year when I will be 80. Guess they think I might not be around. LOL
    Then I have all the getting to know my new primary care doctor and making appointment to get some moles removed also in July. Then in August back to Gastro for a complete GI series to see if they can find why my stomach won't empty out. The tests seem never ending.
    My prayers are with Shirley and I ask for prayers for myself. Still wishing I could be in Florida and meet all of you.

Good morning, everyone!! I believe this is the 2nd day of summer in the Adirondacks!! Lots of stuff going on here! My new bathing suit has arrived, for the Florida trip! I think I should pack it in my suitcase, now, so I don't leave it behind!!
Shirley - Prayers going up to Heavenly Father for sucess with your surgery and a quick recovery. I have a new computer, too! I still have the same old monitor, but I have a new keyboard and a new CPU. It is mighty fast. I am still trying to get used to the keyboard.
Treva - I wish I could be there for your birthday party!! I, too, am sorry we won't be able to meet you in Florida! I hope you have good luck with your new primary care doctor! The don't seem to have time to get to know their patients, anymore. At least that was the way I felt when I had my last appointment and had to go through the entire explanation of my anemia, last year, to him. It is only the third time he has seen me, but I would have thought he could have read my records about my anemia, rather than suggest we go through all the testing, again! I believe he was trying to distract me from the realiziation that he forgot to order a Hemoglobin and Hemaocrit on me, this last visit. I guess if he doesn't order one with the next set of labs, I will have to tell him that it will be done every visit, or I will find a new doctor.

Good early morning everyone! I just thought I'd peek in for a quick minute since I woke up at 5 a.m. this morn...argh! We're leaving for Missouri this morn and won't be back until Tues, so that's our plan.

Happy birthday Treva! Jer's is also on the 4th. He's all excited about getting to light fireworks..ha ha ha.

It's starting to get light outside so I guess I can start closing things up since I can see.

Everyone have a great Fourth and I'll chat when we get back.
