From Pat, Merritt Island, FL: Hello Friends, well, I'm back from a whirlwind trip to the Windy City and she sure lived up to her name. Windy and chilly - nearly froze my little FL buns off!. I did nothing but walk and do Moose stuff. Didn't see much of Chi other than the area we stayed - RiverWalk - really lovely and impressive. Didn't have a meal the whole time I was there. Who could eat at $12 a hamburger. My first drink - gin on the rocks - was $11.80 and my friend's draft beer was $5.60! Fortunately, there was a grocery on the corner with a deli from which we ate pretty well and I bought a litre bottle of gin and didn't buy another drink. Mooseheart is incredible - just beautiful and the kids were just outstanding. It made me very proud of what we Moose do and what I have done. My ceremony, along with 500 other women, was just beautiful. I'll tell ya'll more when we're together at New Smyrna Beach in August. I am sure looking forward to the GSEE. I don't have to fly, it will be warm, I won't have to walk my buns off and I'll have an opportunity to really get to know the people I'll be with. I am praying for all of us with health problems, lighting candles, doing Novenas, etc. Keep on keeping on. Fondest regards, Pat

Good Morning all from the sunny Okanagon. We have had absolutlely gorgeous weather as of late it's been in the mid eighties by 4 in the afternoon. Hard to adjust to after all that cold. But no way am I complain', the snow was way harder to adjust to.
First off, Happy Birthday Dear Leasa, & lots & lots more, happier each year.
Pat, I have to go to Chicago in October. Sooo, it's quite expensive is it? The recommendations I had to try were Lum's, White Palace Grill & Paradise Pup's, were not to be missed. I've heard that Bobby's Hawaaian Style Restaurant in Everett Washington is quite good too Shirley. Treva just remember we are all pulling for you dear lady, you have amazing strength going through all these painful procedures, just to rule out what isn't wrong. But at least that is one plus, you find there's not something wrong that could be, right???
So for a change no new crisis here, what a delightful switch. Hope this finds all doing the best they can, & staying as happy & healthy as they can. Remember all of us are all praying for each other, so keep that in mind like a comforting hug when you fell down at the mouth.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Jer got me flowers and we're loaded to go camping for the weekend. And there's a very nice restaurant that serves brunch on Sun...heh heh. Guess where we'll be??? giggles

Bang Bang Bang, where is everybody??????

Here I am Shirley! Haven't been on the computer this weekend. Don't know where time goes - the weekend is over and tomorrow it is June!! Saw Nancy this morning at church so they are home safe and sound with Bren with them for a couple of weeks. She brought me peaches - YUM YUM!!

Leasa, sorry I missed your birthday. Hope you had a great day and a fun week camping! May God Bless you for many more!!

Oh! Rita! Peaches! Ours are at there peak in August so I will just dwell on the fack I will get my fill then. Went to Seattle and was evaluated and go for a MRI next friday and then we go listen to whether my arm can be fixed or not. They gave me another Cortisone shot and sent me home to hurt for a week. So far the shot hasn't stopped the pain but it has lessened.
Buck turned on a old Joel McCrea and Veronica Lake western and then when out side. We bought me a pair of TV EARS so I could watch TV tooo but not this kind. YUK!
Had breakfast out this morning and wish we could have stopped and bought some salad makings for dinner. It is over 80 and it will start creeping up as the sun goes down. Its daylight for another 3 hours. Its 7:30pm

From Pat, Merritt Island, FL: Hello to all. Sure hasn't been much rattlin' of pots and pans. Guess we are all pretty busy. I know I am. Just want to tell you that it is 72 days until GSEE. YIPPEE! Am I excited or what!. I'm not even going to put my big Chicago suitcase away. Hope you all are as excited as me. I also hope and pray everyone is doing better physically and emotionally. Maggie, the newsletters and recipes have been outstanding as usual. I'm sorry I haven't contributed more - just runnin' - on empty. Best wishes to all, Pat

Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while. That heart Cath just about did me in. I had a huge hematoma on my right hand and when the blood scattered my entire hand looked horrible. They had me putting warm compresses on in; it hurt to use the hand also - the reason that I stayed off the computer. Where the big hematoma on my leg was is black and blue from the groin to the knee. It really looked bad; but, is getting better.
All this is healing just in time for more torture. The endoscopy is scheduled for the 10th - next week. Pre op is Monday the 8th and I have an appointment to meet my new primary care doctor on the 8th. Maybe he will be able to think of something besides heart trouble.
Needless to say I am not looking forward to next week. It's hard to concentrate on anything else right now; but, it is nice to know that my heart is good. If it wasn't I would be six foot under from all the stress and pain from the heart echo test, stress test and the heart Cath.

Guess I need to poke my head in the door and say "HI". We left Thurs for camping, woohoo! What a relaxing time and a great brunch out on Sun. And a surprise visit from Jer's sister for brunch. She's had a few problems lately and I was glad to see her out of the house.

And another adventure....the sewer backed up in the basement of my building. Sheesh! So had to have that roto-rootered and cleaned up. I think it's a conspiracy sometimes...

Guess I'll go restock the camper. Jer mumbled something about camping again this weekend..heh heh!!

We are back from Illinois and had a great time.
We brought back our granddaughter and she will be here for 2 weeks.The graduation was great, Nana cried. She is going to the U of Illinois and majoring in computer engineering.
We also got to see our other granddaughter,Kaylin[who was 2 in March].
Prayers for everyone.
I brought back alot of peaches for Rita and I , they have been so good. Will get more when we go back up in 2 weeks.
Brenda, thought of you when we came thru Alabama, was going to call but your phone number was in my suitcase.

Well I had lost 15 LBS and went back to the doctor and my cholesterol is still up so I have to lose some more!!! He ask if I planned to lose more he didn't tell me to....I just don't want to go on meds!!!

Shirley - Send some heat here to the Adirondacks...It snowed a week ago, yesterday!! I am going to put on my wool coat and go out and plant flowers. I think Ice Plants would do well, this year. I believe we are going to have a cool wet summer.
Leasa - I think I am amongst the guilty...I didn't even send you a card. Still sleeping too much and I don't know why, yet.
Nancy - Where did you get the peaches?? I just sent my guy off to Alabama to take care of some business down there...I think I asked him to bring back some Okra...can't get decent Okra up here.
Treva - You just wouldn't have any luck if it weren't for bad luck, now would you?? I came through my cardiac cath with flying colors, last August, and they weren't black and blue, either!!
Will be back, folks. I might find I have more time in the next two weeks to play on the computer!!
