I seem to have gotten my day and night all mixed up. Couldn’t sleep last night so got up a around 2 and played games on the computer until 5 – so, I slept until 10:30 this morning – makes for a short morning! The doctor’s visit was short and sweet yesterday. I have lost some more weight – now down to 166; only 40 more to go to reach my preferred weight. The rain is back and, according to the TV, here for a few days, off and on. That contributes to my wanting to sleep. As long as it stays warm I really don’t mind the rain. The dogs hate it; want me to make it stop. They are so funny; they go to the door – start out – and quickly go into reverse. Life is never boring when you have animals.

It’s a lovely morning here in the foothills. The home care people (therapists) signed my discharge yesterday afternoon! Hooray! They said I still have a way to go; but, they have done everything they can; just keep up doing my exercises and hip precautions and eventually I will be good as new. I still cannot bend over – that may take months. I see my family doctor this afternoon and the surgeon next Tuesday and maybe I will know more then. At least I feel better about things. Hope everything is going your way. God bless and keep you and yours.

Good morning, all!! Just an update...My LV sister came through her surgery well yesterday. The prognosis is excellent. They only had to remove a lobe of her lung.

Good Morning, I am actually out of bed at 8:30 – miracles never cease. Beth had a doctor’s appointment at 8 and as soon as she left, the dogs decided it was time I was up and they proceeded to whine until I got out of bed. I have the coffee on and am almost awake now. I am supposed to be released by the physical therapy people today. That sounds grand to me. It can’t be too soon as far as I am concerned. We’re supposed to have rain again this afternoon. Its been nice and warm and I was hoping it would stay that way. Coffee is made; wish you were here to share. God bless and keep you and yours,

Good Morning I do wish the weather would make up its mind. Its more like fall and here it is almost summer. At the rate warm weather is coming it will the fourth of July parade will be canceled due to snow (from a Statler Brothers song).
At least it is not raining. Hopefully things can dry out before it starts again. According to the therapist I am still improving and that is good news. There are 2 important happenings in the family this month. My great-grandson, Hunter is graduating from high school in Brusly, La the 16th (that is this week) and one of my Granddaughters is getting married in Florida on the 26th.
I will be with them in my thoughts and prayers but not in person. My mind is rambling all over the place this morning. Do take care now; God bless and keep you and yours, Treva

Charlie - Thanks for your information. I hope this helps ease her fears!! She told me last nigth that she really doesn't want to talk about it anymore, so I didn't share your phone number. She knows that I will give it to her, if needed.
I have chicken enchilas in the oven...I hope they are as good or better than Stouffer's! They are a bit labor intensive.

A very belated happy birthday to you Maggie!! I am so sorry this is late!! I hope you had a great one.
My keyboard was vibrating and I thought I was typing too fast!! Turns out one corner was resting on the mouse pad!!
Are y'all done laughing yet?? That was your Happy Mother's Day chuckle.
I need the prayer group to get together. My sister, in Las Vegas, has been dignosed with lung cancer. Apparently, it is in the very early stages and will be easily handled with just the removal of the lung on the affected side. She has never had major surgery before and doesn't know what the pain will be like.
Charlie, are you reading this?? I have asked her for permission to put you in contact with her. I think you could ease her fears a lot, but I am not sure that she will talk to anyone else. Anyway, perhaps I will need to get on the phone with you, if she won't had have your tell me the ins and outs of having chest surgery.
I need everyone else's prayers!! Please?? She may have suregery as soon as this coming Wednesday. I will keep in touch and let you know how everything goes.

It’s a lovely morning here in the foothills with real Carolina blue skies. It is still a little cool for May; but, I’ll take the sunshine. I have slept the morning away.
