He was on with Kyra earlier saying they have new interviews coming up tonight with people whom I guess just want 15 minutes of fame and AC is playing Andy Warhol(coined 15 minutes of fame) to them. I wouldn't mind it so much if there was something new and different, but its the same old mish mash of "breaking news"
And yeah the the promised interview and other stories have been forgotten just like the Gulf Coast.

They added Anderson's Kyra appearance on the 360 blog. It seems he interviewed AEG, the producers of Michael's tour and they gave him the new footage from the rehearsals on the 23rd. He was premiering it on her show.
So he actually did work today. It's about time he got off of that roof and did something.
Funny thing Kyra asked him if he'd be live from the Staples Center tonight for his show and he sorta stuttered then said he'd be live from LA. We all know what that means. He's back on top of the roof. He doesn't want to be down on the ground with the normal folk.

I don't think Anderson has a problem reporting around "normal folk", he actually seems to enjoy it. Remember when he was interviewing a bunch of people at the inaugural? I think it energizes him when he does things like that.

I agree with CoopedUp. I think being around "normal folk" does energize Anderson. He seemed quite happy durinng the inauguration, being down in the crowd and talking to people.

I honestly don't care who Anderson's mingling with or what roof he's standing on if all he's going to do is spew Michael Jackson crap. Did he forget he's a journalist?

CNN is really making me ill. Now, they have that idiot judge from the Anna Nicole Smith case on TSR. It will be the last straw for me if he's on 360 tonight.

The ratings are starting to level off, so we may be nearing the end of all of the mj stuff. it's hard to know whether or not ac gives the final ok for the mj/bubbles coverage or not, so i'm not sure who to lay the blame on all of this - the cnn brass are desperate for bigger ratings and are doing whatever it takes to get them, even at the expense of their reputation as a serious news organization. @Pemberly, don't be surprised if the judge shows up the way things have been going.

I know CNN is a corporation and Anderson is their employee, but I've actually lost a fair amount of respect for him over this past week or so. He must have some control over the show--it has his name on it.

For a long time now many of us have felt that Anderson simply didn't care anymore, if that's the case it might explain why he would allow the quality of his show to go down the tubes - maybe he's moving on and no longer interested in exercising whatever control he does have to get the show back on track. Time will tell.

I hope Anderson still cares about the show. He's a very complex individual and hard to read sometimes. And if he doesn't care, maybe he is burnt out. However one thing I've always felt about him is that he isn't a very happy person. I've thought that about him for a while now.

In 'The Evening Buzz' Blog, there's 5 paragraphs about the MJ coverage on tonight's 360 the.."U.S. soldier has been abducted in southeastern Afghanistan. Hes being held by a notorious militant clan, a senior U.S. military official said. " I just can't believe that there's 5 paragraphs of MJ, who has been covered non stop for 5 days, and almost as an afterthought, a brave soldier is mentioned. I just don't get it. I am so disappointed in 360.

Ratings were a virtual tie last night w/Greta. Whatever happened to be a leader in the news industry, not a follower??

@Duck: The disregard for the troops has been particularly abhorrent. They should have gotten a good portion of the hour these past few days and you're right, they're treated as an afterthought.

There are reports that 360's ratings dropped 60% over the last quarter, it may be that it won't be around much longer, but that remains to be seen. The program (and AC) have disappointed some of their longtime admirers, so it might be time to go. I wish he could get out of the cable news business and do something else that wasn't so dependant on getting huge numbers, but that's probably not possible.

60%? Wow. Well, Michael Jackson should help with that. Hope it was worth it.

@CoopedUp, I've always thought that if 360 doesn't work out for Anderson that he should do documentaries for The National Geographic Channel. I think he would be really good at it and I think its something he would really enjoy.
