What tone?
I don't hear the tone. I hear laughter. This site is a joke.
When the going gets tough, the foolish choose to ignore. How ignorant.

polite too and when she tries to debate agtgressive right wingers they out talk her in terms of volume of words while she struggles to get in any words and doesn't have a chance to dispute the majority of their false claims.
Being well mannered is a good thing generally but it does not help with dealing with people like Liz Cheney or Pat Buchanan.

when Anderson got into a little battle with Sarah Palin's spokesperson when he was out in L.A.? He wasn't polite and it was GOOD. I'd like to see more of that from him, but it must depend on the mood he's in.

It is crass, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the ratings for 360 improve with this shooting story.

Anderson's not in the NYC studio tonight. IIRC, 360 was supposed to be airing a "special" originally tonight.

been out of the studio because he was working on something for 60 minutes. he mentioned a project a couple of weeks ago. The coverage of the shootings was good, CNN's strong suit, the exclusive footage of the shooter was something expected from them.

Right 26264. I just found that out elsewhere. It makes sense considering all of the Oprah promo. But I've heard that the O appearance is actually Monday, taped. Need to get more confirmation.

tweeted that he will be on Oprah tomorrow. Plus it's on Oprah's web site that he is on her show live tomorrow.
The Monday deal is a book club meeting online at 9 at night with Oprah which he will be apart of talking about a book she has on her best book list.

I think it depends on the issue, not the mood really.
He feels strongly about some things. Torture, for instance. You'll remember that he tried to come strong at Liz Cheney over torture (it didn't work great in that instance because she's more aggressive than he'll ever be, like Maddow he's too polite to be much of an interrupter, and he was thrown off by the sheer amount of bold lying she did). He feels strongly about journalistic ethics, and was stinging and unrelenting with Jeff Gannon over that. There are some other areas too, but they aren't run of the mill policy and political stuff.
You can tell it's not a comfortable fit for him, though, and he'd clearly be unhappy if he was supposed to be combating people all the time. Some people thrive on that sort of thing and others just get upset and worn out from it. There are plenty of things he's good at and shows enjoyment at he can do on TV instead, although CNN might be better off putting a loud combative person in primetime for the ratings and moving AC to a different slot.
