Hey Paul. I love the new deck. How are things going at the Lighthouse. I'm doing good over here in Atlanta. I'm starting to get settled into my job. If you want to write me, you can e-mail me at: Ronald.Prince@navy.mil. I should be over in Japan around the 4th of September. Hopefully I will have a chance to stop by the Lighthouse. Talk to you later.

God Bless.

Hi Ronald!
Great to hear from you my brother. We think of you often and wish that you were still stationed here in Yoko. Things here are going very well and the Lord has brought a bunch of new visitors to the ministry in recent weeks, many from the Fitzgerald. I'll shoot you an email soon.

Hey Paul and Fam,
Man, I totally miss you guys! All is going great here. Married life is pretty darn cool. I am not sure if you have seen any of the pics or not. If you havent, then i will find the website and let you know. I pray for you guys often and look forward to the day when we all can meet again. As for myself, I start school next monday. Amanda just went back to work teaching at the Christian School at our church. She is teaching 6,7 and 8th graders, math and science. Pretty cool. We also teach a class on Sunday mornings for the Junior leadership in our youth group. The class is really awesome, but the only thing that bumms me out is that, the class is made up of entirely girls with the exception of mayb 3 or 4 guys. The rest is girls, Probably like 20 to 30 of them. The age range is like from 9th grade to college. There is also the senior leadership class which is made up of more devoted people, but i think that there may be more girls than boys in there too. Well....maybe that class is even....not too sure. But the point i am driving at is that, WHERE are all the guys at??? It saddens me that the majority of the workers here in the u.s. are females. What happened you know?? Anyways, as always, the church in America continues to need prayer, as most churches try to cater to women and the men kind of get left behind. Cant wait to hear from you!
In Christ,
luke

Paul,
Hey, Katie and I are pretty disapointed because I ended up having to work this weekend, starting Friday. I was pretty excited to come to the Lighthouse bible study though. So, we're gonna check out next months schedule and see what we can do. Also, have you heard about JOSE LUIS DE JESUS MIRANDA? Google that and then please keep that in your prayers. Be blessed!

Luke!!!! Buddy!!!!!
Bro, we really miss you around here. We have said goodbye to so many wonderful people over the last few weeks and it's been hard as ever but the Lord continues to bring new individuals to the Lighthouse. He is faithful. We would love to see some of your wedding pictures if you send us a link for them. Are you enjoying marriage? I can just hear you saying "It rocks!" We miss you and pray for you often. Stay in touch my friend and please come back for a visit sometime. Maybe you can make it to Zorian's Colorado wedding in December?? He and the Koedykers leave in just over a week :-(

Oh man Paul, I am sorry to hear that. I know how much they mean to you. That was one of the hardest things about going to the lighthouse was saying good bye to friends and knowing that your probably not going to see them again until you get to Heaven.
As for mariage, i just said the other day to someone that married life Rocks! That is so funny that you said that!
The website for the my wedding pictures is www.sendtoprint.com and the password is crawfordwedding. Then when you enter the gallery, you can click on the categories tab and navigate through the pictures that way! You should see Rich's hair! It was a little unruly!
I wish that i could make it to Zorian's wedding! That is such a bummer that i cant, but i already know that i am going to be busy with school. It will be finals plus i have to work to pay the bills. Boooooo....
Hey, i gotta jet right now so I will talk to you later!

Hi Paul and Stacy!
We are putting together our missionary prayer guide for our upcoming Mission Week November 5-12. We would like to "borrow "your 2006 prayer challenge to the Lighthouse community as part of the prayer guide. Is this ok? It is a great challenge, we always like to include things done by our missionary family. Also, we have a section in the prayer guide for birthdays and anniversaries. For some reason we do not have the birth years for Hope and Jenna. Could you send these to us? Many thanks for the ministry you have and for your deep concern for the spriritual wellbeing of our military personnel.
Please pray for our Mission Week. We want it to glorify God and motivate believers!!

In Christ alone,
Dave & Nancy Cole

I served in the US Navy, aboard the USS Hancock, between 1957 and 1958. The pictures you posted looked like the old Christian serviceman's center on Cho Hill that I attended when we visited Yokosuka. Am I correct in my identification of this location? The person then serving there was named Loren Lilly.

Congrats on three years! It does not seem like that long ago already! God is Good - and Faithful!!!

Dear Ted,

Thank you for your message. I'm not certain which pictures in particular that you are referring to because the old servicemen's center no longer exists. There is a shopping mall and a parking lot built on the old property at this time. The new facility was built in 1994 just up the hill across from the Yokosuka Museum and Cultural Hall near Chuo Park. I hope this helps. Thank you for writing and please send some pictures from your time here if you have any!

Hey Paul and Stacy! Aleisa here... I have no really good excuses for not being a better corresponder- just small ones aged 5 and 2 1/2... I was delighted to get your note, Stacy, and hear that Heidi was able to come for a visit. I'm sure that was like a wellspring of fresh water! I would love to get on a plane myself and visit you-sans the preschoolers of course! It's hard for me to believe that Hope is almost a teenager! We are serrogate parents for a freshman at CCU. Melanie is my best friend's daughter from Birmingham. We are getting a taste of things to come...car trouble, boy trouble etc. Our kids are doing great. Little Melanie is completely bonded- she is very snuggly and affectionate- Whew!! You just never know. She seems really bright and she doesn't shut up! Either she is talking or singing ALL THE TIME! Both she and Nathan are at FBC preschool and LOVE IT. I enjoyed looking at your last Pics of your trip -looks like fun. So you mentioned that you are looking to God and the mission for what's next. We will be praying. You are loved AND prayed for. Aleisa for Curt Nathan and lil Melanie

Praise the Lord that she has bonded with you and the guys. Please give our love to your family and to our extended family at FBC. Thanks for praying and please let us know how to pray for you!

Paul,
We have ordered four turkeys for your Thanksgiving meal with the Sailors. Instead of us paying for them we would like to donate $250.00 to the Lighthouse ministries and then you could use the extra money to buy other things that might be needed. We could give you a check today or when ever you need it. The turkeys are on hold until you need them also. Let me know what to put on the check and I can drop it off by the chapel. The check is from one of the local banks on base and it will be from the USS Blue Ridge chaplains funds.
Thanks for what you and your family are doing for all of our kids in uniform. God will richly bless you for your Kingdom work on this earth.

Hi Paul,Stacy and girls,
Greeting from MD on a snowy Sunday!
Just wanted to let you know that you were prayed
for this past Friday morning. Lindsay and I are joining weekly with another mother/daughter at WBC to pray for God's work around the world.
Any specific requests that we can remember this coming Friday?
It's thrilling for me to hear my daughter praying
so passionately for God's glory to spread to all the nations!
Wow...what a privilege for two mothers to share with two daughters!
Love to you. Lois

Hi Lois,
What a treat to hear from you! Thank you for praying for us. The oppression is very real in these cultures with no strong witness for Christ. Pray for us and our ministry. Pray the Lord will reign in our home and in those who come in our home each week. Also, pray for Paul's missions trip to the Ukraine in April (20-28) - it's shaping up and will be a very, very busy, but full, trip. Hope is going with and may give her testimony. Pray for her to understand that she has a testimony!
We love you very much! Our love to all of you!

Hi Stacy,
I was wondering if you could send me a picture of your family. I was trying to print it off and couldn't get my printer to work. Cassie is in AWANA and is at the section where she is supposed to send money to a missionary. She would like to send her money to ya'll...so she needs a picture to put in her book. You could try to email me one and I will see if I can print it from there. Our email address is jpowell001@hot.rr.com

Paul and Stacy and girls,
I'm not sure you'll recognize me by name but I stayed at the Baumholder HH in 1998 with Lisa (Hitt) Cox (Rich's wife) when we came to visit James Johnson. I think of you all often and I am so thrilled to hear of the work that God is doing through you at The Lighthouse. I get your newsletters and I am so blessed by the good news of how God is working. My husband is in the process of applying to become an army chaplain so keep us in your prayers as we begin seminary and ministry to soldiers. My short visit at the HH in Baumholder really stirred my heart for our soldiers and their families, especially those so far from home. Of course at that time I didn't realize that I'd marry one of those soldiers!
Thanks for your faithful service and for showing true hospitality.
God bless, Natalie Briggs

Hi Natalie,
Of course I remember you! I remember when you saw the hills in Baumholder and thought they were mountains, then you went to Switzerland with us, right!! Those were mountains! Thanks for keeping in touch. What an encouragment to hear of you and your husband serving the Lord in the military. Maybe we'll serve together one day! Where will he take seminary classes? Are you still in TX? Do you ever hear from James Johnson? We've lost touch with him. It's great to hear from you!

Hi Patrick,

Bro, send me some pictures of you and Samantha when you get a chance. Our family will wrap up our time here in Japan in September and then we'll spend some time in Maryland on home assignment. After that, it looks like we'll be starting a new hospitality ministry near Pearl Harbor. Lots of ministry potential in that community so please keep us in your prayers. We miss you my friend.

Hello Paul,
I just wanted to check in with you and see how everything is going. One of the reasons I wanted to leave a message here is that I sent you an e-mail concerning Evangelism on the first of this Month aboard ship and I have recieved no reply. I do not know how busy that you have been, but I had some serious questions that I trust you (as my Pastor and my friend) to be able to advise me on.

I will definately keep your transition to Hawaii in prayer. I hope that I may be able to intern with you; but if not I will see if I can intern in Yokosuka. I kind of miss the place, it has many good memories.

Anyway, I hope everything is going well with you. Please give my best to Stacy, Hope, Jenna, and Gracie.

Hello Cassidy's!

How in the world are you guys? In the past month God has kicked me into overdrive to pray for you every day! It is awesome because I don't have a clue what's up but I have been called out to pray for your marriage and your children and that God would bless and keep you close to His heart, and that excites me!

There is so much going on in your world that limits your responses to all emails, so I want to be as brief as possible and I want to encourage your family as you are headed back to the US!

But first, I want to catch you up on our world in Rockwall,Texas. As you may not know, Meredith and I are due in a little less than two months with, are you ready......number 7! Yes, we're told every day that we need a larger television, but we don't watch tv and we love each and every one of our precious kids!

Last year, we delivered twins, Katy and Ellie! After a long and difficult pregnancy, we lost Katy due to complications in her digestive tract. We bounced back though, and God has brought us, yet another wonderful miracle! Oh yeah, Ellie is doing very well at 17 months and is running all over the house!

Meredith just walked in from a doctors appt. and all is well! Since we are haviing a c-section we can set our date of delivery when ever we want between Oct. 26 and early Nov.. So we are looking at Nov. 1st!

We are still in Rockwall and I am landscaping as jobs come up! It is amazing to see God faithfully providing for our needs as He sees, not when we think we need it! Contentment is a powerful tool that God uses in our lives to bring us into His presence daily!

I started a small men's group last month with 6 other guys and it has brought back many wonderful memories of CMM which began just about 15 years ago! Wow, how time flys! Thank you Paul for your leadership and willingness to allow God to shape my life mightily through CMM!

Also, I have been given the opportunity of speaking at several youth events in October that keeps me continually running the course with zeal and steadfastness. I look forward to God working there! Paul, I look forward to us getting together some day to rejoice in all that God has done!

PLease email us continued prayer updates for you and the kids at your convenience.

God bless you both in your upcoming travel back to the States and we look forward to visiting with you all real soon!!!

Love,

Phil, Meredith and Family

Hi, Stacy!
We're the former missionaries to Morocco from Calary Church who stayed at your place one summer. I noticed on our bulletin board that you're returning to the US (next month?). Will you be living on the East Coast now? I assume that address given is your new home. We wish you were coming back here! But I guess you'll be visiting your parents off and on?
I remember your great scrapbook albums and wonder now if they were Creative Memories because I've become a Creative Memories Consultant. It's been great for getting my albums done (I've made about 30 large and small over the past 2 1/2 years). I also get a 30% discount, and lots of free product and encouragement! If you did CM or are interested in getting CM products, I wanted to let you know that you can order direct ship through my website. It will also catch you up on what I've been doing (under Karen's Chronicle). I like your website! Mine is:

In Him,

Dear Phil and Meredith,
What a blessing to receive this recent message from you! I just checked the message board and was delighted to read your update. We are so sorry that one of your precious children was taken so early in life but we thank God that Katy is now rejoicing in His presence and that one day you'll all be reunited. Phil, I would LOVE to talk with you over the phone so please send me your number at our email address: pscadence@gmail.com

We will keep you in our prayers and can't wait to see you during our home assignment! Keep pressing on in the faith.

Hi Paul,

Just a note to thank you for the impact you had on my son Blake Covic while you were at the Lighthouse. I know he is going to miss you and was vey glad to get back from summer cruise so he could tell you goodbye in person. He always talked as though your daughters were like sisters to him. The way he talked about you and your family I know you had a big impact on his life through the Lord. I hope there is a place like the Lighthouse the he can get involved in at his new duty Station. He is trying to get stationed in San Diego and one of the deltailers in trying to get him orders to the USS Nimitz based out of San Diego. Please keep this in your prayers that the doors will open for where the Lord wants him to be. May God richly bless you and your family as you move to what ever God has for you next.

Love in Christ,

Rick Covic

Dear Rick,

Thank you for your kind words and for your prayerful support. It was a pleasure having Blake at the Lighthouse each week and I was thankful to get to see him once again before we left Japan. Blake is a fine young man and he has grown in his faith during the time I've known him. Hi guys. We just checked out the pictures and love the new house. It's not quite the large place you had here in Japan. :) We continue to pray for you and we want you to know that we miss you. We feel cheated that we only had 3 months together. Derek misses the girls very much. Spent the weekend with the Youth at Camp Y (Send) and met the Cadence couple from Yokota. It was a great weekend and we all went. You certainly are still appreciated in our lives.

Hey Guys! Welcome Home! Your house looks so cute and cozy. Maddie was looking at the pictures with me and she loved the girl's rooms. We are doing some mission projects with her and we have been praying for you guys. It was fun to see her look at your pictures and then our wedding pictures when the girls were flower girls. You have a beautiful family! We love you!

Hi Paul,

I thought you would like an update on Blake and his orders. He will be transferring from the Kitty Hawk to the Nimitz in April. His leaves the Kitty Hawk on March 10th and he reports to the Nimitz on April 12th. He will be home for Christmas and then again in March when he is between the Kitty Hawk and the Nimitz. Thank you again for everything you did for Blake while you were at the Lighthouse.

In Christ,

Stacy,
I was just looking through these messages and noticed you had sent a note to a Kelly V. about hooking her up with folks at Fort Hood. I don't know if she responded back to you but Jared and I are in the Fort Hood area and know some great churches to recommend. There are two Cadence families out here too. We'd also love to meet her. Let me know if we can help in any way.
Thanks, Natalie Briggs

Hi Paul & Stacy & girls,

Welcome back to the States! Brad & I (and girls) would love to see you all sometime while you're in Maryland. Maybe after the holidays?...Our place is just west of Manassas and we'd love to have you over to our place. But we haven't explored your part of the area so that might be a nice adventure for us to come out that way - whichever works! Enjoy your Christmas and spending time w/family!

Hello! Greetings in Christ Jesus! I have been through all the greetings the apostles gave to each other (again, I love to do t his) and it is so uplifting to greet each other in this way! Blessings to you. Stacy, Happy belated birthday, many hugs are in this!
We are rejoicing in my brother in law's return from Iraq after 6 months away. Chuck was on the Comfort for 4 months(June-Oct) and returned ill but has recovered and we are so grateful. Katie is applying to college, Kevin has JV soccer tryouts today. Chuck's mom has had a recurrence of lymphoma and I am off to NC today for her chemo treatment and then going to Fla. to be with my mom during my dad's upcoming heart procedure. But I feel calm and much protection over all. I am grateful to be in the states at this time to help them. Kiss the girls for me and remind them Miss Marcia still prays for them. XOXOX IN CHRIST, Marcia and Co.

I am sorry to interrupt your post, but I have been searching every where for my past middle school ministers, Phil and Meredith Skrabanek. I feel very motivated to talk to them. As they had one of the most powerful influences in my life. If there is anyway you could reach out to them and let them know, or reach out to me and let me know, I would REALLY appreacite that.

My e-mail is OliviaAterry@yahoo.com

I was in their middle school youth group and home study when they taught at McKinney Fellowship, and I just really would love to talk to them and let them know thank you for all of the things they did for me.

Any help would be SO appreciated. Thank you so much.

With God's Grace,

 Hi there!
So glad to hear that God is bringing everything together for you!
Milt and I are sorry that we did not have an opportunity to talk to you more about your ministry and FCC's Support Our Troops. I had some medical issues shortly after we met you at church and am just finally pretty much back to normal! We are only mailing to 2 deployed servicemen right now, but expect our numbers to increase this fall.
We will be in Hawaii next week (Honolulu). Milt is a consultant for an asphalt company there, so this will be our 4th trip over the past 2 years. There is a very good possibility that we will be able to visit you there at some point in the future.
God bless you and your family as you continue to serve Him.

We are supposed to report there by the 20th of Dec. It's exciting. God has blessed us with 4 more yrs on the east coast so we can share our baby with the grandparents and Great GP's. I wanted to also tell you I shared your website and e-mail with a couple here in Glen Burnie, MD who will be moving to Pearl Harbor by next year sometime maybe in the spring. Their names are Erik & Alex and they have 4 girls(1 is still in the belly, but due soon). I hope you guys get to meet them. They are a wonderful family. Neways, hope all is well. We will keep you updated on the baby and what gender it is when we find out. Love ya'll, In Christ, Annie & Nate

Barbara,

Wonderful to hear from you! We have indeed been to the Safeway down the street and emptied out our entire savings account buying groceries ;-) Food is soooo expensive here! We've also enjoyed a meal at 'Sumo Ramen' in the same parking lot. Their food is very similar to CoCo's there in Yokosuka with lots of curry dishes. Anyway, we are really enjoying our time here in Kaneohe and we thank the Lord for the generosity of so many individuals that have made our transition possible. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hey Paul I hope that you and the family are enjoying yourselves in Hawaii I am sure that you are happy to be back in the ministry again. I was in Rota, Spain last month and I was able to go to the house out there once. I was in Sao Tome Africa before that for two months. I am now working out of a clinic in Kuwait not too bad money is good out here. I have been bouncing around the world on this deployment with the Seabees. We sure miss you guys in Maryland, but I'm sure that you are right where the Lord wants you!! Not quite heaven on earth, but as far as I'm concerned, they have the same zip code.... So, where did the "house" end up? We're not supposed to be jealous, but all these pictures are making it very difficult. We are absolutely looking forward to a visit out to see you guys, but haven't talked my boss (the govt) into funding it yet. Have you had a chance to make contact with the Turansky's out in Mililani yet?

Aloha Phil,

Our new ministry home is in Aiea, way up on the hillside so there's usually a nice breeze. We are able see Pearl Harbor from our living room. Rent in this area is fairly high so please pray that the Lord will provide local financial support through the military soon. Our ministry dedication is scheduled for the first week of January but I'm already meeting with a few sailors during the week for discipleship. God is good. Thank you for your prayers and please do come for a visit when you are able. In His Grace, Paul

Hi Paul and Stacy,

I just wanted to give you the news that we are 100% going to TCS to Israel this summer. It will be a crazy time though, I will not be returning from Afghanistan until sometime in May. You should do another trip to Israel and come visit once Gaza calms back down.

Hello Paul,

Great to see God place a CSC in Pearl Harbor. What an incredible blessing and answer to prayer!
Raquel and I know a couple being stationed at Schofield this summer. They were hoping for some help in finding their way around and in getting off base housing. I couldn't find any address on your site to give them. Got some contact info? I married them and they are a good Christian couple that needs to get plugged in to a church as well.

Stand firm,

Stacy,
Your family website is so neat! I hope you're feeling better soon.
I can't believe I've misplaced your phone number. I was wondering if the Hope & Jenna could babysit for us, Tuesday or Wednesday from 3:30 p.m.to about 7:30-8 p.m. this week.

My phone # is (253) 921-2784. We live on MCBH/K-Bay... we would love it if they could come here.

Call me soon,

Janel Watt from Pearl Harbor MOPS

Happy 14th Birthday to you Hopey! We wish we could be with you today but we are soooo glad we had the chance to have a small birthday celebration with you at the Outback a couple of weeks ago. We love you so much. Hugs from Nana and Grandpa.
