We urge you dear batch mates to please support this activity on the General Assembly on February 11, 2012 as we invite every one to please come and join us to select new officers who will be willing to serve and lead Alumni Association of CGEAHS Batch’ 73. We know that there are a lot of qualified members out there who will be able too lead our batch who can work for the good of the batch and who will be willing to build the bridge for unification. 5526 batch 73 01-24-2012 08:15 AM ET (US)	COMEEC RULES AND REGULATIONS COMELEC = It is a body duly elected by the majority of the Batch 73 graduates to supervise the election of the upcoming board of trustees for the year 2012- 2013 which is composed of five members : the chairman, the vice chairman and 3 members. DATE OF ELECTION The election will be held during the General Assembly on February 11, 2012 1pm at the CGEAHS covered court. RULES & REGULATIONS: WHO ARE THE QUALIFIED VOTERS: All graduates of Batch ‘73 who have paid their membership fee on or before the General Assembly on February 11, 2012. All members who are based in Manila and nearby provinces wherein they can physically attend meetings called by the chairman of the board. HOW TO FILE THE CANDIDACY: We are going to elect eleven (11) officers to succeed the outgoing Board of Trustees. The designated Section Representatives will act as the spokesperson for every section. In the event the section representative is not present the section members will choose and designate one of their section member to act as the section representative. The nomination of candidates will be done through the section representative after conferring with his/her members on their choice of candidate. They can nominate as many candidates that they want to support. They can nominate not only their section members but any member of the batch ‘73 whom they think will accept the nomination . MANNER OF ELECTION : If we have a QUORUM then we will proceed with the election of officers. In order to declare that there is a QUORUM all sections should be well represented meaning that majority of the sections representatives and members are present. There are thirteen ( 13 ) sections in Batch 73 ,if we get at least seven ( 7 ) sections that are represented by the section representatives and members then the COMELEC will declare a QUORUM and we will proceed with the ELECTION. There will be only one ballot for each section, and the voting will be done through the section representatives after conferring with the members the candidates that they want to vote. COUNTING OF VOTES: The COMELEC body will immediately count the votes after the election and winning candidates will be proclaimed on the same day. There will be a transition period between the outgoing and incoming officers before they will officially assume office on June 29, 2012. FAILURE OF ELECTION: The COMELEC will declare that there is a failure of election if we fail to have a Quorum , then election will be rescheduled on the Grand Ball on April 14, 2012. OATH TAKING: The new Board of Trustees will have their oath taking on the Grand Ball on April 14, 2012. ELECTION PROTEST: The COMELEC has the sole power to decide and resolve all kinds of electoral protest filed before it within a period of one month, provided that it is filed within seven ( 7 ) days from and after such election. Its decision shall be final and un- appealable.
