My last week, condensed down to the actions of the last few minutes: 1) Realize that I'm out of cough drops in my office. Solution: there are more in the kitchen. 2) While in the kitchen, fill the dishwasher and turn it on. 3) Take a bag from the kitchen, return to my office with it. 4) Replace the trash bag in my office. 5) Take small bag of trash out to kitchen. 6) Return to office. Sit down. 7) Cough. Reach for cough drop. 8) ^*&% it, I forgot to actually get the cough drops.

I think the script for our webcomic has about 50,000 words in it, but it took me six years to write. I can't imagine trying to do that in a month.

Oooo...very exciting. Thanks, Xiao!
Sue, the closest I ever got to 50K was two years ago when I made 40K. As God is my witness, I will make 50K some day (GWTW reference).
HMS - if you wrote both of those manuals, then I would count them, even thought they aren't fiction.

Good luck, Jen.
You're beating me at 2,000 words. I had lots of ideas this year, but no ... ack ...
At least I hit 50,000 LAST year.

Good luck on that job offer, Jen!
I'm both sorry to hear about Ed's autism, and happy to hear that it has been diagnosed. Because that's the first step to getting him (and you) some better support.
Jon A.
I haven't written any novels, but I am approving a 440-page manual and another 230-page manual for printing today. Does that count?

Potential job offer coming down the pike soon. Will let you know when I have confirmation.
Ed had testing for autism a couple of weeks ago and received a diagnosis of mild/moderate autism at yesterday's feedback meeting at CCIU. Steve and I will be evaluating the new preschool that they are recommending Ed attend in 2 weeks. I am relieved to start getting some answers and more help for him.
Currently in York with Ed visiting my parents. Sister and husband to visit on Thanksgiving.
Am sucking on Nanowrimo. I have only written 11K words and most of those were in the last couple of days. I am not really feeling my story idea much, so that's why my word count is low.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Jen

Remember how Scott M. used to have a comic shop that also rented anime DVDs?
Well, after the shop folded up, he put all his DVDs into a filing cabinet but he still had all the DVD cases in the spare room at his home.
As a result of Scott's cleaning out his spare room this weekend, I've now got a couple hundred empty DVD cases... just in case anyone needs any.
Most are normal thickness (not slimline) black but some are in variety of weird colors, and there are a few with multiple-disc storage.
And -- AND -- he let me have the DVD cover art inserts & booklets for the anime DVDs. Just in case, you know, any of mine are damaged and need replacing.
--Matt "Why?" you ask? Well, I buy used DVDs a lot, and often they're in ratty, beaten up boxes. An infinite supply of them might be useful.

Wal-Mart currently has all five seasons of Babylon 5 on sale for $20 each. No idea how long that will last...

I didn't attend the original showing for the usual no good reason, but it looks like the Christmas RiffTrax is being re-run Dec. 16th and 17th. I'll have to be sure to make one of those. -- Mark

Yep, and you have several metropolitan areas listed in that Census definiton, as well as four different states. Sorry, but last I checked, Philadelphia was still only in Pennsylvania...

Ahem, Philcon is NOT in the Philadelphia area anymore. There is this big body of water that separates New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I'm sure you passed over it tonight on your way there. That means you went to another state. You may say near the Phila area, but certainly not 'in' the Phila area.
