Dear Friends: The provision of bread for communion is itself an act of grace, an act of worship, and an act of ministry to others. St Marks is grateful. Please signup here whenever you plan to make altar bread. This will let others know that you are doing so, so that we won't have two people making bread for the same Sunday. The absense of sign up will signal the altar guild that some other provision needs to happen for that Sunday. If you'd like to make bread on occasion, and have not yet subscribed, please click on the SUBSCRIBE button and enter your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time. But subscribing will get you an automatic update of this message board whenever somebody leaves a message. This message board is linked to the Altar Bread page on the St Marks website (look under the Resources menu). Or you may wish to add these to your favorites or bookmarks: Altar bread page: http://www.stmarkshighland.ang-md.org/recipe.htmlMessage board: http://www.quicktopic.com/37/H/DjrqSKagjDTeFThanks!

Please remember, we don't need bread until Sept 10th. Rick+ is away and we will use consecrated wafers.

I'll make bread for Sunday the 17th --does anyone know if the church will be open Sat. afternoons for its delivery? I've been bringing it at 7:15 AM Sun but don't otherwise come until about 10 AM for later service.....thanks!

This Saturday is a parish workday so the altar guild and a bunch of other people will be there cleaning. I don't think you'll have any problems getting in. May want to call ahead and make sure someone answers the phone though. --Wesley Lunsford --- QT - carol bufton <qtopic+37-DjrqSKagjDTeF@quicktopic.com> wrote: > > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Also, the Progressive Dinner ends up in the Parish Hall Saturday evening. So there are lots of chances THIS Saturday.
HOWEVER -- we really need to get keys made for each person making bread, so they can get it into the sacristry on Saturdays, at their convenience. How many do we need?

Rick, It would be more convenient for me if I could have a key for future bread delivery use! I know this Sat is pretty unusual....It would be a big help as has been an ongoing issue for me. Thanks!!

We will be needing eight loaves of bread for Sunday, December 24 as we will be having six services that day. The three usual Sunday morning services and three evening services for Christmas eve. I've been told the bread recipe we use makes four loaves. If we can get two people to sign up for the 24th then we should be covered. --Wesley
