Hi, I'm Frank Moore, class of 1966. While going through my mother's things after her passing in Jan. this year, we found a men's class ring that my father probably found with his metal detector. It is a large size blue 1965 with the initials D D. If anyone knows who this belongs to please contact me at baggerrider05@yahoo.com.
thanks, Frank

Frank, it must belong to either David Dean, David Ditmar, Dan Dubak, or Dennis Dodd.

Is there much wear on the ring? David Ditmar died in 1967, so if it was his it wouldn't be worn down much. I can contact David Dean and Dan Dubak, I think. And I have no info at all on the current whereabouts of Dennis Dodd.

McBride, Ronald D.
May 21, 2008
Ronald "Ron" D. McBride 71, Avon, IN and Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2008 after a decade long struggle with heart disease. The only son of Wilson and Rilda McBride, Ron grew up in the Maywood area of Indianapolis and graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1955. Professionally, he spent several years in the union sheet metal industry, advancing from apprentice to journeyman. He soon yielded to his entrepreneurial spirit and and started his own business, a Dog N' Suds restaurant on the near Westside. While in the restaurant business, he met and married Sandra Farb. Their marriage endured for nearly 44 years. Ron was a devoted husband to Sandra and father to Lynn. He also spent time in residential construction as managing partner of Lifestyle Homes and subsequently developed residential and rental properties in the Avon area. His last business venture was a roller skating rink in Avon. Ron possessed an unparalleled work ethic. Always an outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed water skiing, snowmobiling and was an accomplished yachtsman. He and Sandra wintered in Ft. Lauderdale on their boat, The Miskonduct, and sailed the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean with their daughter, Lynn. In recent years, they split time between Avon and Port Orange, but still enjoyed navigating and fishing Florida's intercostal waters. When May rolled around, Ron was trackside at the Indianapolis 500 and delighted in walking the pits on race morning, meeting and greeting the mechanics and drivers. His lifelong love of cars and all things mechanical led to his participation in car shows. Ron's beloved Corvette and vintage AMC Pacer won many trophies and awards in competitions throughout the Midwest. He was also an avid motorcycle rider, earning his license at age 68. His wife Sandra McBride; daughter, Lynn McBride-Turner and son-in-law, Steven Turner, survive him, along with many friends and family members, will continue to celebrate his memory. A lifelong animal lover, Ron adopted and cared for many stray dogs and cats. In that spirit, memorial contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Humane Society.
