I'm canceling the road ride I mentioned for Saturday due to a shoe issue. I might not be at the T.N.F ride either just depends on if I want to press my luck

What part are you going to ride? I've ridden all of the race route I think, but I'm always up for an epic mtb ride. I thought about doing the race, but $80 entry fee? whats up with that? Is Lance showing up or something?

I'd allow 4 hrs, but with Doug pushing we may be way under that.
If we follow route I'm thinking we'll hit the fire road a couple times and thats a good 'bailout' if time gets tight.

Pre-ride part of the course (~25) this Sun 28th??
I rode about 20 from damascus a couple weekends ago but that didnt include Chestnut, so i think that would get miles up to 25 ?
Also, when i was up there i ran into a couple of the locals that are helping with the race and they told me actual distance will probably me more like 55.
