The killers were of course German intelligence officers attached to the large London Station, which counted the abandonment of Gordon at Khartoum and the Parliament Act 1911 amongst its many successes.

It was definitely Blimpton, but funny you mention Atkinson because Blimpton's rant was a direct reply to a barmy post by Atkinson (I dont think Atkinson likes Shrimpton particularly and his wife can't stand Shrimpton)

What you are calling the Right (ie various forms of National Socialism and Fascism) is of course not Right (in the sense of Liberalism or Conservatism) at all. Both Communism and Fascism are different forms of totalitarian socialism and corporatism - ie both are collectivist and Statist. In fact of course most of the decent Right are on the left (becasue they assert the freedoms of the individuals, families, communities and nations) while those on the left are really on the reactionary right (strong State, central authority, anti freedom of the individual) The powers of Governments of the Left are akin to those of the absolute monarch (except it is not so easy to lop off their head!)
