The British National Party will capture senior roles on police authorities if plans to introduce direct elections go ahead, ministers have been warned.
Senior Labour figures in local government are convinced that the far-right party will gain a foothold on police authorities if the changes are brought in.
Their fears emerged as Communities Secretary Hazel Blears called for a new drive against the BNP in the week that a list of 12,000 names and addresses of the party's membership was posted on the internet, casting a new light on the make-up of BNP supporters.
Sir Jeremy Beecham, Labour group leader at the Local Government Association, said that police authority elections would play into the hands of the nationalist party.
"Hazel is absolutely right that mainstream parties must redouble their efforts on grassroots action to block the rise of the BNP," he said. "However, by pushing ahead with direct elections for policing, an area extremists would love to gain control of, the government is leaving the door wide open to the BNP."
Sir Jeremy, also a member of Labour's ruling National Executive Committee, added that the proposals risked handing the BNP the opportunity to "govern the entire police system".
"The ongoing failure of the Home Office to consider the consequences of this policy will, I have no doubt, result in crime-fighting activity reducing in many areas, and in some places, we will see the BNP and other extreme voices taking control of the police," he said.
Writing in The Guardian, Ms Blears said: "We must recognise that where the BNP wins votes, it is often a result of local political failure. Estates that have been ignored for decades; voters taken for granted; local services that have failed; white working-class voters who feel politicians live on a different planet.
"In such a political vacuum, the BNP steps in with offers of grass-cutting, a listening ear and easy answers to complex problems."
Attacking BNP leader Nick Griffin's "cunning strategy", Ms Blears accused the party of playing on people's "apprehensions" and peddling "pernicious but plausible lies".

I don't support the BNP but the gutter-trollop Hazel Blears is a ridiculous squawking dwarf who stands approx 3 feet tall in high heels.
Why isn't this talentless degenerate in a circus freak show along with the Bearded Lady, the Elephant Man, the Walking Skeleton and a troupe of cute little gay Mexican Midgets?
Off to the ducking stool with this mouthy ignoramette!

I like it when Hazel says this, as I think publicity would be good for the BNP. The "no platform" approach is much more pernicious, as it airbrushes the party out of existence. She thinks that if they take on the BNP head-on on immigration, Labour will win, but I am sure that the better bet for Labour would be to steer political debate away from toxic issues. I am not sure at all they can persuade the white working class that immigration is all for the good. So, if they try this approach, it will fail!!

This is very interesting, and illustrates one of the facets of modern politics that often go overlooked. The Leftist theorists, as Kipling so well captured, are driven by airy wish lists. They have all sorts of ideas how other people should live--even forced to live, if the Letwing theorist has his, her or its way. But the corrolary of that is what is overlooked.
The Leftist theorist has no real understanding of how other people actually react to real situations. The theorist tends to be so caught up in his own fantasies, that he, she or it just cannot be bothered to pay close enough attention to understand the real reactions. Thus, they react with horror and seek to suppress ideas that challenge their preconceptions. This provides the free publicity that makes underfunded opposition efforts more effective than they otherwise would be. The skilled Conservative is well advised to play on this phenomenon--to learn how to send the Leftist theorist into orbit, and then exploit the free publicity.

William 12 members of the BNP were arrested in Liverpool yesterday for distributing the "Racism cuts Both Ways" leaflet. http://www.bnp.org.uk/thumbs/Racism_Cuts_Both_Ways.pdfThis is from British democracy forum 12 BNP members arrested thread where one revealed: "I was arrested, first time ever (I never even ever had a detention in school). The police were awful to us, they did nothing but lie and treat us like rubbish. They made a 64 year old sleep on a wood bench, denied an elderly chap with medical problems his medication saying "You will be alright till tomorrow". One of our members were tortured by the police because he refused to willingly give his DNA to the fascist regime as he is a innocent man. Supporters from around the country came and held a demo outside the stations, but when they left the city they were stopped by the police. Our houses have been RAIDED, all BNP material has been seized. I am a bit tired but you get the jist, we fully intend to take Merseyside police to the cleaners for their unlawful imprisonment." One was wearing his regimental blazer and medals!

Please send emails to Addiewell.recruitment@kalyxservices.com, the company that runs HMP Addiewell. This is my email:
For the attention of Audrey Park, prison director:
Dear Mrs Park, I understand you are director of HMP Addiewell, where you are providing a cushy lifestyle for hardened criminals. I would like to book myself in for a holiday in your prison. I will require a large room with shower facilities, TV and Internet connection, a wide choice of food on the menu, and gym and other facilities available. Can I charge my holiday to the public purse?
The fact that you think you are entitled to subvert the criminal justice system by making prison life cushier than life on the outside shows you are an inappropriate person to be running a prison. At the least, it shows your company, Kalyx Services, which (under a misguided policy) has been given a private contract to manage the prison, is overfunded. You have money to burn, and you seem to think you have the right to conduct your own policy of mollycuddling criminals and attempt to overthrow our justice system.
Please let me know what vacancies you have, and when I can come for my holiday. Regards, David Webb.

Who could be surprised that it was the first female serjeant-at-arms that authorised a search of Damian Green's office? Women are much more in tune with the new authoritarianism than men are. I find women adapt to political correctness like duck to water.

I am completely opposed to female in the military or the police force as regular soldiers and police. If the police require a female social worker for various things that is another matter. Fighting and policing is a male thing.
How unsurprising that our socialist friends appointed a woman to that ancient male position.
Scum and filth.
