i saw that book in a magazine recently.....he looked like someone i wouldn't enjoy reading.....i'll look through all the advance readers copies i acquired while at the bookstore and if i have anything it think you might like, i'll send it....lord knows i can't read them all right now....and since i am gainfully employed i can actually afford to mail stuff.

I think McChull needs to start raiding half-priced books and sending them in my direction. I'm presently reading "Our Cancer Year" by Harvey Pekar and Joyce Braubner (sp), his wife. Good stuff...I usually can't stand Harvey Pekar.

hey madgirl....have you read the book "blackberries in the dreamhouse" by diane frank?
laverne suggested it to me a long time ago and i managed to "obtain" a copy before i quit the bookstore.....anyway, i highly recomend it....it's the only book that i've ever dogeared the pages, underlined stuff, written notes to myself, AND put little post-it notes to help me find passages.....

OPPOSITE end of the spectrum.....

although i have a feeling you understood what i was trying to say in my own pathetic special k kind of way.

sweet.

you'd be proud of me....my interview was on the total end of the spectrum of an "i like pie" conversation....i was relaxed and witty and i think i actually inspired them.....what the hell is going on with me?

You should definitely work in a coffee shop. It will make it a lot easier to move to Portland, where the only reasonably enjoyable career path is barista. Plus, you can treat people like dirt, but they'll still worship you, because you're an affordable, totally legal drug dealer. Envy of the masses.

mucho treats?! i like the sound of that...and i like the ** around someone....makes me feel special in a vague kind of way.

how much do you think working in a coffee shop would fuck up my sleep pattern...caffiene plus having to be at work at 7am...i'm thinking, if i get the job, i'll get about 45 minutes sleep a night....down from the mere 4 i usually get.

interview at 2:30 today.
