/m2265 It is a "Request for or Notification of Absence" form (3971)
You are notifying them of your need to be off due to medical needs. You are not asking for permission.
Yes, they can ask you to change . . . but you do not have to do it.
For years I would cancel and reschedule as I'm in a small office. Sadly took me way to many years to figure out that "they" don't really care and there really isn't a good time to take off as it will always inconvenience those that are having to do the work of someone else that is gone.
I don't reschedule anymore.

curious....neither of them can make you change the time or date of your appointment. if it's a scheduled dr's appointment, they can not deny you sick leave.

How does one go from PTR to PTF. Thinking about transferring as a PTR does it take long to become PTF. Whats the process.

postalvet /m2262 -- I personally always take lunch, usually at about the 5 to 5 and a half hour mark.

usmc7234 /m2260 -- I agree. It is in response to several posts (such as /m2257 ) claiming that we must take a lunch after six hours.

read again /m2257 -- wrong. It does not say that. The word 'must' is not there.

no employee may be required to work more than 6 continuous
hours without a meal or rest period of at least 1/2 hour.

as I see it, this does STATE you must take a lunch!

digger: I sure hope a grievance ws filed on the abolishment. They do come up with some pretty creative "reasons".......I just got one a few days ago that gave me a good laugh. Most of the reasons are not to hard to disprove.
