D-Our local MDO/Plant Manager refuses to complete employeers part of the CA-7, so we have to send it to our district injury compensation office, for completion. The last two people who have submitted the CA-7 to injury compensation requested a copy of the complete form to submit with doctors report for SA, were told they were not intitled to copies. So yes Injury compensation does get involved in some cases with SA, due to local management refusal to complete paperwork.

How does one go about getting getting conditions accepted? I have conditions like radiculopathy..etc..that are not listed in the SOAF. Also..how do I get a copy of my file? Could it be as simple as writing a letter stating "I would like a copy of my case file #..."
Thanks..

I have had cervical fusion surgery. My doctor states that I have a herniated disc in my lumbar. He states that it is related to my cervical spinal injury which is work related. He added the lumbar to my original cervical spine injury, however, workers comp will not cover the lumbar. What form do I fill out to get my lumbar accepted so that I can get physical therapy?

First off, Gent, I owe you an apoligy, didn't mean to post as your name, I was trying to start off my post with your name and I'm not that familar with this forum and how it works, so I just typed your name at what I thought was the beginning of my message, and after I submitted saw what I had done, couldn't figure how to fix it
Anyhow, on the subject of Injury Comp, in my case the supervisor told me that IJ disapproved my COP, I don't think that is their right, but the sup doesn't want to pay me, even though OWCP said I was entitled and I think he asked IJ to write disapproved on my leave slips

The post office can controvert a claim but not a SA. That is up to the OWCP to dispute your rating percentage if they have a mind. These idiots at injury comp just try and intimidate employees out of filing claims.

need advise - My problems started with the knee. Which then affected the back after a few years. Long story short - My doctor sent OWCP a SHORT statement stating in his opinion the back problems were a result of the knee problems. The back was added to my orinigal claim without having to file another claim.
If you were having problems with another part of the body, say your leg. Then it might be beneficial to file another claim. But since you are talking about the same arm it seems to make sense to get these other things added.

When I was working I was very happy, I enjoyed being a mail carrier, had a good relationship with my customers, didn't mind going to work everyday. I had a pay check, and a little extra money, I was able to stay above water. Where the heck am I going to start over at my age, with one good arm. I want to go back to my route, but I now that will never happen. For the past six months it has be hell, the pain, doctors, meds, depression, and also angry, angry because the po allows us to use our own cars to deliver mail, if I didn't do all my driving with just the one arm, I would not be sitting here today. Instead I would be out enjoying life, and to heck with the SA... I feel the same way, if I could have my life back and my health that sa does not mean beans to me....and how degrading for the ce to tell me I'm getting free money, tell that to my brother who got killed in Vietnam.... to hell with them........got my self upset go to go........

DAVE...I got a copy of my whole file ... I came across this ca7 that I sent to INJURY COMP back in 2002 and I was requesting a SA .I NEVER got anything back from them .So I never followed up on it. But when I got this copy of my file I seen it in there...And on the Employing Agency Portion of the CA7 ,at the bottom the INJURY COMP SECIALIST wrote USPS wishes to challenge this ca7 for a SA...Thats why I asked the question can INJURY COMP challenge a SA...

Does anyone know if injury comp can challenge your SA...I called DOL, first they told me my CE had to do the calculations then it would go to the SENIOR CLAIMS EXAMINER for certification. Then I called the next week and asked could I get a copy of the DMA report and my DR report. She left me a message saying until a decision is reached on your case you can not get a copy, Once the decision is reached a copy will be attached to the decision...THE DMA sent the report back to them around april 14th...I dont understand what she ment by until a decision is reached...It seem like every thing was fine until they sent the ca7 to injury comp (to fill out the part for my wages)I dont wanna keep calling her and bugging her but I WANNA inquiring minds wanna know....has this ever happen to anyone...what would you do ??? call her back and ask her what she ment or just wait till I hear back from her?
