NECarrier /m1974 -- USPS and NALC have an agreement that there will be a maximum of twelve MSP points. Three in the office (hotcase, dock, return) leaves nine on the road.

What about breaker cards in the DPS? Any limit on those? I have at least 50 of them every day. I have one after each delivery for two complete streets! Just crazy.

crazyfox- you should be able to adjust the number of breaker cards with your supervisor. We have often done that here.

Egark- did not know about the nationally negotiated maxiumum. Our PM often does as he wishes, I should see if anyone has more than 12!

12 is the maximum. I used to have more than 12. Then the union steward did my route and I now only have 12. MSP scans that is.

crazyfox- perhaps things have changed in the last six months, but it was never an issue here. We had one supervisor who ordered labels, worked on red books, etc and he could get the breaker cards added or deleted. We had one carrier who got a breaker card on either side of the last delivery of each relay. That meant the last house's DPS usually got left behind by anyone but the regular!

NNJ is going to let clerks and mail handlers take carrier jobs. They will only be for them not carriers.

What happens to flexie carriers? What happened to the jobs they were going to hold because of the FSS?

NECarrier

Is that the same "supervisor" who can't seem to do a thing he says he's going to do for us concerning the computer, even when reminded many, many times?

Could that be the same "manager" who, except to order himself his Aerosmith concert tickets, can't seem to do a single thing he's asked by the Craft to do?

So, while they are NOT fixing your route, MSP scans, absurd delivery sequences, etc., at least now you know what they ARE doing!

BLB- Its the other guy with the same name, the country music/NASCAR fan- he could always get those breaker cards fixed in one shot.

Be careful when you do that. The gal who inputs the dps and such with the machines at the plant actually came out to my station and personally asked me if I was taking home my breaker cards since they kept disappearing. I wasn't even touching them. They make new ones, eventually, when they realize the old ones are gone.

Breaker cards? We got DPS in October 1996. I haven't seen breaker cards since about November 1996.

Isn't it funny how it seems like we all work for different companies?

For instance, who else out there uses chock blocks on your LLV/CRV (or else!) ?!?

How about puzzle weights in the back of your LLV year round? They don't take them out in the summer because they don't have anywhere to store them. I lose an entire day's worth of gas in my truck. Instead of going 4 days without filling up I go 3. Great gas savings idea! Anyone else with that great storage idea for the summer?
