Things to ponder on a November morning:
    
    ---There's 44 players on BRL rosters who are real life Free Agents, including such stalwarts as Chone Figgins, John Lackey and Vlad Guerrero, not to mention Jason Bay (probably), Adrian Beltre and Johnny Damon. Could be some major roster shakeups.

   ---On the flip side, some very talented NL free agents could be "crossing over": Matt Holliday, Rich Harden, Orlando Hudson, Miguel Tejada, Jason Marquis just to name a few.

   ---Trade wires are humming with such names as Roy Halliday and BJ Upton being mentioned.

    So, as if you already didn't know, the season never really ends. Happy Thanksgiving from the Culito family.

Congrats to the champs from the Culito Monsters! Here's my cuts such as they are: Ortiz, Peralta, and Chavez. No sense pretending Papi and Jhonny are keepers at their salaries, now is there? Everyone have a great fall--Go Sabres!--and remember, as always, the trade winds blow directly through Buffalo NY. Peace.

Wow. The season is finished already!?!? Time flies. So who won this thing? Last I knew Breez was running the table. Nice to see the league's name-sake at the tip-top, did he hang on? Can I still make a roster move? I'd like to claim Mike Mussina. And would Daisuke Matsuzaka's owner please contact me, I have a trade offer I think you'll find very attractive.

So long fellas. I can hardly wait for the 2009 season to begin.

Ernie Young, eternal symbol of almost-success....career minor-leaguer, failure in numerous attempts to crack the big time, collector of moments when near victory gave way to crashing personal defeat. Ernie Young Bobblehead Trophy? 6th place?

This is a pretty exciting time in the 'ol BRL.....I see a lot of teams vying for the title of Second Division Champions. Who will capture the coveted Ernie Young Bobblehead Trophy in 2009? And will AJAM outstink the Culito Monsters and retain his Medallion of Shame?
Oh yeah, and who will finish first?

Now here's how I like to start my day....sit down in front of the computer, log onto CBS Sportsline, and read:
