Hi! Welcome to the new Twining message board. The time for the Twining 2006 Reunion in San Diego is quickly approaching and there are still many commitments to be made. It would be a great help to know who is and is NOT planning on being in San Diego in October. Eddie Murphy at twiningreunion@yahoo.com would like to like to hear about your reunion intentions, Thanks.
Feel free to use this board to keep in touch with your old shipmates.

Hi guys. My name is Bob Crawford and I was on the Twining from February 1966 to February 1968. Initiatlly I was on the deck force and from there I went to the radar gang. I eventually left as a RD3. I would very much like to hear from any of my old ship mates. My e-mail address is bobconcrawford@adelphia.net.

I was on the Twining late 1966 through April 1967. I arrived with my friend Jim Doty (from Floridia) and we ended our service when we departed from the Twining. Anyone remember me? Bob Crawford, my friend, was also on the Twining, leaving 2/68.

For any interested parties, my e-mail address is: sandybarnes007@comcast.net

Hi Guys, I was one of those Sea Cadets that came on board on the 3rd weekend when it was at TI. I was there 1964-1968...ages 14 - 17 years old. I was a hospital corpsman. I received my training at Corpsman School in San Diego in 1964. The Reserve Chief HC was John Runcie who, unfortunately, passed away last December. The Dr. was John Raisbeck (an orthepedic surgeon in SF.) I was the kid that gave you all your annual shots (tetanus, typhoid, smallpox) every year. I also slept in sick bay and was woken up all night from you guys requesting APC's and other things. I'd love to be in San Diego for the reunion but no guarantees. I don't smoke now but remember the $.90 cartons of cigaretts? Also I thought the food was great. Remember those breakfasts!

I was a fireman when you and I was on the Twining. You were a chief. Then one day in VA beach Va we crossed paths that was many years ago. I'm now 73 and live in VA up in the mountains. We love it here. I hope you get this note and respond to it. Ron

Hello everyone. My father, William O. Pollett Jr.(Bill), was on the Twining from 1953-1954. I am trying to find some of his crew mates. My father isn't in the best of health and I would like to do something for him that would make him feel better. If any one has any information on where I can find a roster or if you know someone that was aboard at the same time or if you were aboard at that time and remember him please contact me at Rancie.Auger@dot.state.ga.us or at rancieb@yahoo.com. Thank you so much everyone.
