Hi Kristin, I hope this message reaches you. Computer's are not my area of expertise so I never know if I'm doing right. Anyway so good to hear from you. Yes God does hear our prayers. If he didnt, he would not have commanded us to pray without ceasing. I am also learning alot about prayer. Pastor Rick has been teaching us alot about prayer, expecially about how fasting and prayer go together. Fasting is still something that I am not consistent with, but again through prayer and studying my Bible more I am learning. I think God expects us to be very specific in our prayer request also. Sometimes we may not know all the details but I try and pray for a specific need or a name if I know it. We definetly need to pray for ourselves. All of us have weaknesses in our lives and I commit these specifically to God. I tend to be a worrier and I have been really asking God to deliver me from worry and to leave my needs with him. Not that God does not expect us to take responsibilty for our actions and deal with our day to day situations but I am trying to ask God to help me know how to deal with specific issues and not to just worry about them. So if there are specific areas in your life that you are struggling with you need to voice them to the Lord and ask for direction in dealing with them Alot to discuss here but lets talk one on one sometime about this. You are a lovely young women that is growing in Christ and I will be praying for you that God will direct you as you search to know more of him. Love muriel
