No rest for the weary...after rummaging for an entire week, I now find myself organizing MUSIC for JULY 4th! It's right around the corner, you know!

Being the commUNITY person I am, I like to look to locals (including the greater Jimtown AREA) before finalizing any kind of schedule.

If you would like a spot on the 4th, please let me know ASAP because the day is already FULL of bands who have asked to play (many of whom are local).

Morning Music usually starts during Pancake Breakfast with acoustic/folk/bluegrass acts lasting from 9-11:30 a.m. (usually 30 minute slots). We can certainly start 'em earlier than 9, but I don't know if musicians are able to be up & at 'em that early! Most importantly, I am looking for a P.A. for the morning music. Anyone?

Big Park music starts after the World's Goofiest Parade and after Katie Farmer sings the National Anthem AND (this year) after the wedding ceremony of Lulu & Chris. These slots are usually 30 minutes OR 45 minutes to an hour (for bands) going right up until the fireworks, with a closing band afterward.

Local musicians contact Laura ASAP @ (3o3) 545-55o2 or lauraDOTwilliamsAThotmailDOTcom and let me know your preferred time to play and how long your set might be. ROCK ON!

Hey JAM! Two questions:

1. Can we please use the JAM P.A. for Big Park music on July 4th?

2. Can we also set up a few SOUND WORKSHOPS in the month of June to teach interested & potential sound people our gear before the 4th? Tom is willing to do this, but I think we also need as many experienced sound folks who know this gear to be on board (i.e. Glenn, Mike B., Richard, etc.). We could schedule one act per workshop to come down to Big Park, set up, and play while the sound trainees learn the gear. I know of a few possibilities, like Blake, Brent D., Jake B. and maybe more that we don't know even know about.

Please respond here to both questions or call me at (3o3) 545-55o2.

THANKS!

ATTENTION JULY 4th MUSICIANS:

There are still TWO SLOTS open for Little Park music in the morning from 9-9:30 and 9:30-10 a.m., preferably for acoustic, "pancakey" music! The afternoon music in Big Park is already full of excellent groups that will knock your flip flops off!

I have to have this wrapped up by the end of THIS WEEK! Please call me @ (3o3) 545-55o2. THANKS!

Bet you thought you'd heard the last of DRAMA CLUB...not a chance!

Each semester, we try to explore a different area of drama. Since January, our theme has been "LET'S TAKE IT ON THE ROAD!" whereby we perform in different venues for different audiences.

Hence...the THIRD performance in our series is coming up THIS WEEK!

We invite you to see "ASSIGNMENT: EARTH! How We Can Save The Planet" THIS Friday, May 22nd at 12:30 p.m. in Jamestown's Big Park, where we will also perform for our Gold Hill Elementary friends!

We hope to see you then...but if not...

Mark your calendars and come see the show at Boulder Public Library (wow, we've hit the BIGTIME!) on Saturday, June 20th @ 11 a.m.

All shows are free for all ages as a gift to our beloved commUNITY!
