Hello world! I'm from Latvia, I now have a computer and Internet! It's so interesting here! But on some forums I see strange posts, they offer to buy some pills or something and they look very stupid. It is robots posting? I thought moderators should delete such posts. Maybe somebody will explain me what's going on? But at all it is very interesting to speak to all you people! Kisses! :)

Michelle, Did you ever make a decision with your color scheme regarding your yellow couch?

I'm trying to completely finish at least 1 room in our home! I have a love for sunflowers, and I'm trying to come up with a color or colors (thinking of colorwashing the walls) that would compliment my sunflower decorations in the room. I was thinking of colorwashing in yellow, but not sure if that's too much yellow. Should I go with greens or beiges. I'm having a terrible time choosing colors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mardie I would probably look at using a color similar, or a tone darker than the walls for the picture frames, and the vases, I would do a flower arrangement using the colors in your accent chair, you could make them a bit brighter if youwant. Have fun.

I'm going for a clean look. I've recently purchased an ivory color couch, and accent chair with multiple strips through out (green, orange, cream, taupe)and a coffee table with 4 square pieces of smoked black glass on top. All three pieces have black legs. My carpet is olive green (looks nice with the accent chair). I now have black art, but no longer want it on my walls (looking for some abstracts with colors in my living room). However, what colors should the frames of these prints be? Black, light tan, cream? Also, I have two huge floor vases cream with a stone base (one taller than the other) which I'm using as my focal point, but thier in the corner just sitting there bland. How can I bring these out? I've just painted my walls a light beige. Help!!!fast

Hi there I have bought a Bright and bold sunflower yellow leather sofa, chair and oversized ottoman for my new living room. I also have blonde hardwood floors and wanted to buy an area rug for the room. Was just curious what color schemes I could go with the give me a contemporary look. I need a paint color for the wall and also a color scheme for my accessories.

I've finished a course in interior design and now I have registed a business name to do some work. I've put an ad in the local directoy and I'm now scared. I know all the basics to interior design but when I think about someone hiring me to decorate I get butterflies in my tummy. I don't want to look like an idiot or that I don't Know what I'm talking about. I want to know if anyone can give me advice on how to deal with my first client and what should I take with me when I turn up? They didn't teach me the business side of interior design only the talking to clients.

I would like to do a bold feature wall in my 4x5mtr west facing family room but as the only wall without windows and doors is on the north wall I feel it may enclose the room to much (4x4). I am happy with the brown based yellow on the other walls as it blends well with the pine floor and timber archs. Maybe I could paint the ceiling and above the picture railing white to reflect light. suggestions welcome

As an interior designer, I think that you should start with an object of art, such as a sculpture, painting or a favorite fabric. This will give a starting point for the color scheme. If you want to start fresh, have your designer help you with the new color sceme. It should reflect you & your lifestyle.
