Please accept my belated (bleated?) welcome back to the A2 Town Talk forum.

A bunch of users, maybe a dozen or so, are trying to take the forum back from the egocentric, uneducated conservatives who periodically dominate the forum with their flame wars. More sophisticated readers of various political persuasions have agreed not to respond to posts that don't add to intelligent discussion. That's not to say we don't gently provoke one another -- we do *that* all the time -- but we're all firefighters now, dousing flames as they pop up.

Please stop by, one and all, when you have the chance. The more reasoned opinion we have, the smaller the dose of idiotic and hateful Limbaugh-ese we have to endure.

Larry, I browsed through some of the forum you were just kicked out of and ...eww, I feel like I need to rinse off, or something. But anyway, I just wanted to say that if I was the moderator, instead of you, I would kave banned the guy who was "supporting" his arguments by quoting Rush Limbaugh. That would be an automatic expulsion if I was running the show. There, if that makes you feel any better...

Jeez, they won't even let you post a message saying, "Hey, I didn't mean to disappear so suddenly, bye all"?!

I also find it odd that they think it appropriate for all communication between elected officials and the public to be mangled through Gantert. If the elected types want to actually communicate with their electorate, shouldn't that be acceptable?

That seems like a weird policy. I cant imagine it would be anything else. I dont think I have ever seen an inappropriate online comment from you.
