Huh. I'm not seeing any ads when I few the davey pic. Maybe it's because I'm a subscriber myself, so I don't have banner ads and it caches me so I don't see them on others' sites, who knows?
Still a shite pic, though. I went and checked out the 'club' the contest is at. The club is run by a 13-yr-old. The 'contest' seems to consist of 'Draw ANYTHING Disney-related and if you win, I'll stick in up as Featured Deviation and someone(probably crap) will DRAW you a Pic as a PRIZE! Preeeetty pathetic. There's only one other entry and it's a pic of Jasmine ripped off from an Aladdin screenshot. It's still better than Wendy-with-Half-a-Peter.

Gah. People passing screenshots off as art. Me not like that.
If I was a DA member I'd send in one of my copious pile of Darkwing Duck art. It's years and years old, but it just might have a chance.

Oh, I hate it, too. And it's EVERYWHERE on Disney-fan DA accounts. Most of it isn't really using an actual screenshot, but basically tracing it off and recolouring it. Disney characters generally are NOT easy to draw. Manga and anime art are easier to emulate, but most Disney fans don't have access to model packs and years of practise and such ;) Bugs the crap out of me, but it's so prevalent that it's pretty much pointless to bitch about it to them. This girl's made an entire name for herself by copying pre-existing Disney art.

Merry Christmas everyone. Have a new Scarlet. He HAS been a bit quiet lately. But we all get sick sometimes, I guess (Bill: SOMETIMES, she says...!). I still find it strangely karmic to know that Davey was puking as he drew this. Some great cosmic force has caused him to FINALLY reap what he hath sown. Why he felt the need to draw a panel break right through Big Splash-Page Scarlett, I don't know. Once again we see the unfortuitous habit of his of placing things RIGHT over the Groinological Area - in this case, the head of a young boy. Scar: Oh don't worry sugah, I don't bite Her EVIL STARING GLARE tells me otherwise....

Well, changing the topic to stuff that doesn't suck, Bill, have you ever seen Steamboy? I don't recall if you've ever talked about it, but dang, it's good and i'm guessing it's been a while on DVD there if it made it to DVD here.
Lush 1800's landscapes and a good story that takes a bit to pick up, plus some views on SCIENCE!

MESSY QUEEZMIS TO ALL! Or, for the politically sensitive, Happy (rather a lot of) Holidays (related to the winter solstice, including, if you're that way, the Christian one). I don't see what the right wingers are so goofed up about. It's inclusive!
