Between now and 2016 ptfs will b converted. I wouldn't hold my breath on being promoted by end of contrac. Po has and always will break contract. They know it takes forever for union to fight it. Plus union is too busy right now worrying about all these Ccas they get union dues from now to give a crap about those of us who have been paying for years.

If a ptf has transferred within the past year, how would it affect them with M-1808 re: Part-time flexible opportunities? Edited 05-18-2013 04:51 PM

/m8562 Read the DAS arbitration award available at NALC.org. The short version is the award (the new contract) said all PTFs will be converted before the end of the contract............2016. The more you educate yourself, the better off you are.

Feelingshafted /m8562 -- did it say converted immediately? If you don't know the answer to that question, find out before venting.

When this new contract was settled it stated; All P.T.F.'s to be converted to regular. My question is then; Why am I still a P.T.F? Also spoke to my union president that stated I will not be converted any time in the near future. Why?

I hear rumors that two are set to go by the end of the year but I might transfer south before that happens. What district are you in again? How is the weather there?

Supposed to be converted this Saturday. Filed a grievance for Full time flexible since I fit all of the criteria. Next thing I know the route they claimed was being held for 204b in case he came back became a residual.

We have 29 vacant positions in our district. I put in for a few. Do you have carriers about to retire?

After you become a FTR, is it impossible to transfer to another office? If you do transfer, are you then considered a PTF or do you become a CCA? If a FTR in another office retires and there is no CCA in their office, can a FTR transfer into that office?

Not sure if this would help anybody or what it even means, but the higher ups asked the supervisor or somebody(not sure who at this point) if they wanted the conversion to be held off until June or not. They (he) said no, to do it now.

Supervisor informed me last week after another LONG day! Steward hasn't said a word about it. They kept asking me like I would know before them. We have 1 more vacant route that supposedly is under hold down for somebody. Sorry, but I have a really bad attitude toward the union right know because of what they say they would do but wouldn't. It was a wait and see attitude.
