Hi Folks:) Here are some notes from our last meeting last week regarding what needs to be looked at and completed in our EEV.
On the MISSIONS page: The Navigation grounding and paragraph still needs to be put; we need to take off that Timeline from last semester and give the page a more finished, polished look. For the INSPIRATIONS page: Kathy, we were waiting for you. What do you want to do with this? For the ASSESSMENTS page: Take off the Zoomerang and focus our assessment on the QT and assessment sheet (16-habits and Key Elements chart). Also the assessment paragraph is to be put.
Deb, the assessment paragraph is -as we speak:-) winging its way to you. It may need a final polish. Take a look.

Sarah I will get the assessment paragraph from Ev before she leaves for Washington tomorrow. I will wait to see you to put it on and up because I do not know where we left off on that page.
The order of the whys are not the same as the order on the frame. Can you fix that?

Hi to all. Paul Reynolds was so excited about our site when we showed it to him on Wednesday. He asked for premision to show it when he revealed his Community of Practice in LA in July. We were thrilled. Will tell you more on Wednesday.

Hi all! Kathy, Rachel and I had an amazing time (with our AP) at the North Star conference last week. It was refreshing, inspiring and fun! We will share our stories next class!

The youth in action section needs some work which I am going to do tonight. I was concentrating on my portfolio this weekend, so I didn't get to it. Thanks so much for all of the hard work on the why and grounding.

Conversation grounding and inspiration grounding are up. Erin and I adjusted the general introductory WHY paragraph to serve as the Inspirations grounding and included a quote from the North Star storybook. Open to changes, but it should suffice for what is due now.

That is the major drawback of using frames. If you want to send someone directly to some part of the EEV North Star site you will need to direct them to the address you have below and then explain the path to the page you want them to visit. Frames are great for our site because of the uniformity issues, but this drawback is a bummer.

I had to relink Youth in Action from my own site, and I noticed, that the only address is http://eev3.liu.edu/ee0406/nstar/home.htm. There isn't an option to link directly to a particular page on our site. Am I missing something??

Hey everyone - just a reminder that once you GET the newly organized site be sure to CHECK ALL THE LINKS on all the pages that you created or developed. Some links open in new windows, some open into the mainFrame window and others are broken. Be sure that the link goes to where it is supposed and opens the way you intend for it to open. Generally, we set it up for everything to open in the mainFrame and that way the navigation bar is always on the left. To open something in the mainFrame you may need to type that in the "Target" box below where you assign a link in Dreamweaver. Instead of _blank you would want to type mainFrame. For help with any of this contact me, Kathy, Faye, Don or anyone else who understands how to work in the frames.
