This link would be good on the action page as a teacher link.

Evelyn-this site is for you. When you have some free time, look through it. It is very similar to what you did with your students researching their favorite place in Southampton but with an action twist. If you read through the site there is even a P. Freire quote in the teacher reflections

Debbie, I tried changing the order of the why to match the navigation, but every time I did it, the font changed to all yellow. Would you try to fix it please? Thanks.

Thanks Ellen, I will check it out! I have another person to include in our site who followed her own North Star and is in the middle of an amazing journey. She is a semi-local (summer) artist (and family friend), Laurie Munn, who is completing a very unique project in her masters program in NYC. I went to see her exhibit at Barney's in NYC last Thursday, and think she has a very inspiring story that we could tell. I mentioned it to Sarah briefly during the last class, and hopefully we can add some sort of offshoot about her if we are not too overwhelmed with our professional portfolios:) Evelyn, I hope you are well and that you had a successful DC trip- I look forward to hearing some of your stories, too! (And Bette, that is fine with me:)

Oh yeah, regarding the order of the sections on the mission page- When Rachel and I were adding the text/attempting to fix the citations, we thought that Inspiration should probably come first because it gives the initial reasoning for the site, although it is out of order. I am not opposed to changing it if you think it would look better in sequence. It is something to consider, though. Also, I noticed that our section is called Action in some places, but Actions in others (I know Rachel ended up with the same problem with Conversation(s). Let's try to adjust that this week, Sarah. Thanks- See you Wednesday!

HI Folks:) Washington was great. Thanks for all your best wishes. I'm glad to be home.

Am having some trouble with the Understanding Others magazine since we put up those frames. I am missing some pic.s on the index page and can't seem to get them back up. Also, my ACTION link seems to link to one of Sarah and Erin's old pages. Can anyone help? I'm befuddled:/

P.S. Ellen, I checked out the site. The design is basic but the content is fabulous. This is the kind of celebration of classwork I really like to see and learn about. Thanks for the link.

Hello all. I am sorry that I have not been in contact. I am sure you know that it is spring in Montauk and I had to step it up a beat or two at the restaurant. I have obviously been working on my portfolio in the time that I have. I tried tonight to "get" the mission page and work on it. Bette suggested that I work a bit on the collaboration. I knew the mission page needed to be looked at according to our last meeting. I am unable to get the newest version because I lost track of where things were after the frames were put in. I know this a problem for others too. If changes need to be made our collaboration group needs to know where the files are after the frames were put in. I will wait to here how to make changes before I go ahead. Thanks.

Debbie,
I think I came across the same problem, but I don't know the answer.

Hi all! Deb try going to the site and trace the path to the page you are looking for. The linking might help you find the page in the folder it is in. Look at the address along the bottom of the site. I know that this is a problem in frames where the exact page isn't referenced. Why don't we meet on Wednesday and try and make sure the fine tuning gets done. If you have ideas maybe you could work on them and save the work and then we can put at class if it is unclear what needs to be put where. I thought I saw some old pages up but maybe it was my side and not the remote. Hope all is well I know you must be really swamped at the restaurant Deb. See you guys Wednesday. Kathy

Am still having some trouble with the Understanding Others magazine since we put up those frames. I am missing some pic.s on the index page and can't seem to get them back up. Also, my ACTION link seems to link to one of Sarah and Erin's old pages. I'd like to clean all this up before we call it complete. Maybe we can make a list of the things that need to fine tuned before the 18th?
