I'll do the index2 page but I'm not really sure I want to do it now being that we really have nothing to put on it yet. I'll do it over the next few weeks, like when I do my images section. I'll have time to take some pictures this weekend. Lastly, I'll make the background offwhite.

Could someone remind me what I was supposed to do this week. Was I going to create a homepage or was Sean going to do that? I'm drawing a total blank. I think Greg said he would work on creating the individual tutorial pages, right? I was thinking that on the intro page we need to change the background so it's not so stark white. Any thoughts or suggestions about that?

Looks good.. We need to work on color scheme a bit more because the text really doesn't show well on that page, but we can always layer our text to make it jump out a bit. I will talk about how we want our set up for our index2 page in class today and we should start to play with this stuff. See you at class.

Sean- I agree that there needs to be a page somewhere in between the intro page and the tutorial page. I 'put' the tutorial index page to the remote server. I didn't link it yet because I wanted to ask you about the 'enter' button (see below). If you go on the remote server, double click the tutorial index page to see what it looks like. I'll talk to you in school about it tomorrow sometime.

Sean, I spoke to Perri on the phone. I have linked the initial tutorials off of the buttons that Perri made on her tutorial home page. This is just so the students can start working on tutorials. In the mean time I will build the individual pages for each of the programs that Perri's buttons will eventually go to. I would like to build these pages only because it will allow me to become better at Dreamweaver.

I think the best idea would be to start making our second page and create a link w/tutorials and then have dreamweaver, flash, etc links from there. If you want I can start work on that on Monday. But what do we want.. frames or no frames?

Perri,
I am a bit confused as to what I need to do? Should I make a basic page that has the information I gave below on it? Or should it just be the url's that you can hyperlink to when they clik on a button that said "dreamweaver" or "flash" from your page? I am not sure I am making sense.

Greg- that's great. Do you want me to put those links on the respective pages or do you want to do that? The way I have it set up right now (which can always change), is that there will be a seperate page for each of the pieces of software.

Greg- I guess the Mike & Don piece is gone at this point, unless Don decides to stay with us.
I'm impressed that we're right on track, that's great! I think we definitly want to get that tutorial page ready for Wednesday, because we are meeting the kids afterschool that day. We want to have something ready for them to work on. I think I have the main tutorial page just about ready. We will then link your tutorials from the buttons I made on the page. I made buttons for Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, & Studio 9. I want to run something passed Sean before I 'put' it because I wanted to change something he did on the index page. It looks really good. I used one of the ocean water images as the background and added ocean wave audio. I can't wait for you guys to see it.
Sean- I made buttons for the tutorial page. Do you mind if I put the same button on the index page? I'd like to put it there for now so you guys can see it; we could always change it (I'm very flexible). I'm just excited about the way it looks and think it will look nice there. Let me know. I will not 'put' until I get the okay (or not) from you. I would not change anything you did without your permission.

Perri, I am sure it will look fantastic! I was looking at the list of things we discussed to do. We are pretty much right on target. Here they are:
Greg: find tutorials, learn studio 9 and begin building tutorial page
Sean and Perri: model a movie editing project and work on building the website.
Mike and Don has some one thing that pertained to the whole project and that was to begin a model "finished product"
I think that we have a lot going on for now so that could wait a bit. Another thought I has was maybe the three of us could combine to build a model of a finished product?

I've been working on the next part of the website. I will 'put' it as soon as it's ready for viewing. I guess I'll make a folder for the part that I'm making until we are ready to merge. Wait till you see it, I'm psyched!

Vision for mid-December 2005: Post several tutorial links for student to use in order to practice using Macromedia software and Pinnacle Studio 9 Create several model projects for students to look at as exemplars Link to outside exemplar sites Students should choose a topic to focus their website around rough plan of websites: o who, what, where, when, why, how
Vision for mid-April 2006 Students should have samples showing the learning process and progress posted on their website (portfolio) Students should have a working knowledge of Macromedia Fireworks, Flash, & Dreamweaver Students should have an understanding of capturing, downloading, & editing video using Pinnacle Studio 9
Vision for Mid to Late- May: Students have completed their work. o This includes a functioning website that has examples of their works in Flash, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver (and video if they so chose). Students are to do an evaluation of the course. (This will help us to see what we did right and how we could fix this type of class) If the students feel up to it, they might present in our TEAM class and see some of the activities and work that we are doing (Thus showing that the cycle of learning never really stops).
Vision for June: Prepare to possibly present at NECC
