If anyone wants to do an earlier ride on Sat. Paul and I will be leaving White's in Erwin @ 8:00 AM (if it is not raining). We will do either Roan, Hughes Gap, and Iron, or Ripshin(Tiger Creek side), Hughes Gap, Iron.

Tony,
Thanks, I may just end up joining you for the Possum route. That is a fun route to do. Actually, I may ride the possum route Sat and consider doing the Roan Groan course Sunday. I just hope it does not rain either day.

Tour de Possum Route Ziss is Fabio's main goal for ze season. Fabio must pre-ride ze climbs alone with ze manager. Ziss is ze only way to be at one with zese monumens to cycling. Fabio must be serene on ze ridges and content with ze training. Fabio believes ze final selection will be made at ze house with ze crazy lady

Saturday Group Ride: Le Tour De Possum Creek, Astana welcome When: Mothers Day Eve Time: Noonish Where: Yuma school http://www.tourdepossumcreek.orgDistance/Time: 42miles/2hours and seven minutes Description: Riding the Possum Creek race course. Approximately 42 miles with 6 short-medium length climbs and lots of flat to rolling terrain. We will start at noon…..actually most of us will be ready at noon, but some people with think that this means that you pull in the parking lot at noon so we will probably leave at 12:14. We will pull out of the parking lot and follow the possums with arrows painted above them around the course. It is a pretty straight forward route with light traffic, a couple of annoying dogs and some crazy lady that will chase unnamed riders if they look at their neighbor's dog the wrong way (you know who you are). Pace to be determined by group. Notes: Road conditions in Yuma vary from Augusta National fairway-like-smoothness to giant chasms that appear to have been formed by Volkswagen sized asteroids hitting the earth. If you are debating on bringing your Lews, Boras, Lightwieghts or Ksyriums, I would suggest the Ksyriums, but thats just how I roll. Good luck to all the racers heading down to middle Tennessee this weekend. If the Internet has made it to McMinville, why dont you post some results Saturday night so we can keep track of your success?

Allan,
I'd love to do the ride again, but I am short on time this Saturday and Sunday is Mother's day. I'm going to post a ride in Yuma for Saturday if you can't get anything together for the Roan feel free to join us.

I am on call and will not be going to the race this weekend.
Since I am stuck here in town, I am considering doing the Roan Groan route Sat or Sun (depending on the weather, which I need to check). When riding such an epic route, it is always good to have company. A good size group did a lot of this route last Sunday.
Are there others that may be interested? If it looks to be a warm, dry day, we could plan to meet in Elizabethton around 10 AM. I am completely open to day and time.
Thanks,
Allan
