I know, it's seriously a fair way out huh! Just found out too that if we get 10 or more of us the cost will be $20 each so I'll send an email closer to the time and hope to see you and some others there.

Anybody still out there........How are you? I feel buried in emails over here but I hope to see who ever can make it to Gab's fundraiser next month. Jac - mark me down for two tix, me and my hubby Chris. I am going to circulate the invite to my office and to friends who I think may want to come too. I look forward to catching up with everyone who can attend. Share the news! I'd love to hear what has been going on with you.

Hey all,

Yes, still out here and getting very excited about the July trip. For those of you who don't know, I will be leading the next team to Sri Lanka..! Yay!
Jac, I would love to go to the fundraiser, please put me down for 1 ticket.
I have a few bits of news to share.. I recently became an aunty (for the 4th time) and was at the birth so please, noone expect kiddies from me any time soon.. heehee, not that it would happen anyway, I am still single! Oh well, I did buy a house in Armidale so that keeps me very busy and I painted the lounge room over Easter (now that was fun!).

Hope to see some of you at the fundraiser.

Mel x

Hi Everyone,

Not sure who has still subscribed to this but here goes. I hope everyone is fantastic.

All is fantastic here - recently married, popped back to the island of Jersey for my Dad's 90th, went on honeymoon to Vanuatu, 2nd boy on the way (end of June), Owen is just so much fun, cycling heaps and lots of trips going out.

I would love to rekindle old memories and ask if any of you would like to post something on a new message board for a group going to Sri Lanka with Mel as leader on 1st July. The build is on the East coast and trip itin is SCC. They are going to buy tools out there for the community.

Any way the link to their Quick topic is:

cheers guys - I hope everything is well with health, love life, relationships, children, work and dreams.

have a fantastic weekend

Yes indeed Mike...huge congratulations. You ahve been busy. Very proud of you too for committing to the marriage and family thing, in your time and in your style. I wish you all the best. And we want photos!

I'll be headed to the fund raiser thing too (Jacqui is excellent at recruitment). Am looking forward to seeing everyone. I'm obviously back in Australia but not sure if it's a permanaent move or not. I came back for love but that's not worked out so am just figuring out what's next for me. Am loving being around my very good friends right now and winter here is just like summer in London.

See you all soon i hope.

Hi All

Jac sorry I can't join you for the fundraiser, but I hope it all goes well. Melissa good luck on your build trip, I'm sure it will be an amazing experience. Mike congrats on your wedding and second bub on the way!

Hey, just to let you know I checked out the Sri Lankan restaurant in Seven Hills (Curry Leaf? I think it was) with some friends, one of them Sri Lankan and it was absolutely fantastic. It was packed and we had a bit of a wait for the food, but it was worth it. There was also a great shop next door where you could buy all the spices and fresh herbs, so have been experimenting with new flavours.

Take care all...hope to catch up on the next round...

Ciao

Hi all - sorry I wont be around for Jac's fundraiser - I will be on the sunny Gold Coast for a few days for Mum's birthday. Hope you all have fun.

I am busy planning my next trip/trips, even though I only have 4 days of annual leave at the moment. Laos & Cambodia is on the cards for later in the year, and India for later next year. I would love to able to do another housebuild sometime soon too....

I'll add my congratulations too Mike - good to hear all your good news. Good to hear that everyone else is well too.

Many congratulations Mike! That's wonderful news.
Congratulations also to Mrs Tera Thomas. :)

And Melissa - all the best for your Sri Lanka trip in July. You'll make a fantastic leader. Coincidently I've also bought a house which I'm busy painting and redecorating (and I'm still single too).

It's lovely to hear everyone is well.
Best of luck with the fundraising Jacqui.

Cheers, Jenny.

Ahhh Crumpy and Shar, we'll miss you both at the fundraiser. This one's actually not for me, I'm just helping to promote it. I'll be having one probably in August though so I hope you're both free for that one! Congrats Jenny on the house! I'd be lucky to afford a place the size of my bathroom in Sydney... Congrats again to Mike on all the good news too - it's certainly all happening in your neck of the woods! Speak again soon, Jac xoxo

Hi All

Strikes us that it is significant that people from our fabulous trip are stil actively communicating and engaged in furthering the cause!

Great to hear everyones' newses - weddings, houses, babies, tour leaderships and other travel plans.

We're off to the UK and an Intrepid (of course!) tour through Turkey in September.

Crumpy, call us if you get time when on the Gold Coast.

Cheers!

sam here - first time ever i've been here i think, but believe me its not indicative of a lack of interest in how everyones going. I still constantly think of that trip and all you guys and its great to hear you're all getting on well (mike in particular - wow!) Sorry Jac, gab an I won't be able to make the fundraiser for your friend as visiting relo's up the coast, but Mel, if there are any other fundraisers for your trip let us know as we'd love to catch up before you fly off. I managed to get a story about our trip to sri lanka published in AllNews magazine (an internal news ltd magazine) complete with pics of gab slaving away and me just standing there in a sling (far from heroic but i atleast looked dirty). A good bit of exposure complete with habitat and intrepid plugs so i hope that helps in some way. see ya
