Thank you for your kind words and I will be going to the prayer site and will pass it along to my friends. I too am part of a prayer website and I feel we can all touch each other and network, so to speak.
our site is www.vine3.org
Bless you and we will keep in touch, by the way Collin had his 2nd cranial facial surgery in May, and he is doing well.
They say he may need to have his jaw broke next yr and wear a helmet screwed into his head for 12 weeks, but you know I am praying that will not happen...But whatever God chooses to do in Collin's healing, I will continue to trust him.

Debbie, I want to thank you for touching me and touching the Father on my behalf. This has been an abundant year of spiritual blessings for me. This has been the year I have waited for. I appreciate you addressing spiritual needs. This has always been my prayer desires. Thank you. Just to let you know that only a few days ago I bought a domain and opened a prayer chapel and am hoping to gather many there. This Quick Topic site will remain high priority, but it has never been search engine friendly and few find us. This site, once indexed should draw more people, and at the least be stumbled upon. So feel free to come with your astounding personality and do tell others if you so feel led to come and be with us. May God bless you as richly as you have enriched my life.

Heavenly Father, You know everything about Collin. Every little detail. Why this is such a struggle. Why this is so fearful. Why all toddlers do not take to training readily. We can only guess and surmise. You can know with a certainty. So we ask for wisdom and patience for those that are training Collin. We ask for him a spirit of adventure. We know that all will be accomplished in good time, and we thank You gracious God that You will indeed meet this need. Amen

Lord we pray for Richard, Lord you see into richards heart and mind, you know the root problem, and you know the feelings & emotions involved.
We want your will in both these lives, we know you know the best for both Richard & Vanese, we pray your hedge of protection around both these lives.
Lord I pray for Vanese as she is developing feeling for Richard that he may not be able to receive at this time, only you know this. I pray for richard for the horrors he had to perform, and see, Lord maybe he is doing all he can right now, and a relationship is not something he can do.
Lord I ask your blessing of innner peace and contentment on both Richard & Vanese..Lord your will be done, Lord I pray wisdom over Vanese, Lord direct her in what to say, what not to say, How to be a true friend to Richard, I speak healing to richards mind, will, body and emotions, I pray you'll bring him out of this dark place he is in. Lord we seek you.

[This message was sent to you by a reader of your QuickTopic
board, using the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the board's
web page.]

I am asking for prayer for my friend Richard that has come home
from the war. He is suffering from depression and feels that he
is getting sick. I have been there for him emotionally, but he
shuts me out a lot. He keeps saying he is alright, and wants to
be alone most of the time. I have become very close with him and
want to be there for him. Also we have gotten very close since
he has been home. I have developed special feelings for him. I
am scared to tell him that I care for him deeply and want to be
more than friends. We grew up together and I had not seen him
for 20yrs. I got married and move. I am now a widow. I believe
God brought us together. Please pray that God will bring us
together as a couple. that God will reveal to him that I love
him and want to share my life with him. Thank You God Bless

 Response:

Almighty God, You sent Jesus to set the captives free. We know His power and we know His might. We ask that You deliver Richard from his depression. We ask that You break the bond that ties him to the flesh, and releases him to walk in the Spirit. We ask for sanity to rule in his life. We seek You to favor and bless him as He returns to You. You have a calling on his life and You shall be Victor and Master.
We seek peace and patience for his friend Vanese as she bears the hurt of watching his life depreciate. We ask You dear Lord, to be a place of refuge for her during this grueling time. Send her Your help. Let her arm herself with others that will companion with her and give her sound and godly advice. We believe in miracles and we believe we will praise Your name for this one. Amen

Gracious Father,
RV has so much upon her plate right now. We see upcoming changes and in all areas that we need Your guidance and blessings upon.
We ask You in the arena of employment that You might send a position that would be perfect for her to not just make a living, but where she could see a glimmer of her serving you. We take it that the current position has come to an end, You have shut that door, but so that You might open another that is of greater opportunity. We put our trust in You to provide an income within a stimulating environment. We thank You that when we have doubt or fear, we have Your promise to be our Provider. We ask in the name of Jesus to see this come to pass and that speedily.
We ask for Your blessing upon her continual education. May that certification be completed. May that education be valuable and used. May she know Your hand was upon her this entire academic period.
Looking ahead of these basic needs we look to marriage and family. We know it alone will only come to pass if we seek to glorify You in the choice of partner and in the desire to dedicate children to Your name. Bless, Lord and fill the desire of RV's heart to walk with You and to have her desires fulfilled.
In the precious name of Jesus, we are claiming that You will have Your way, and You will find her rejoicing over each answer. Amen

I need prayer for my life to come together. In a month I will be unemployed and I have no offers on the table right now. I also need to finish school and I would (with GOD'S permission) get married and start a family. Please remember me. Thanks. RV

Gracious God, we ask You to be with Annemarie and walk her through the uncertain times. Help her to firmly clasp Your hand and she walks in Your power to overcome her fears. Calm her, comfort her and protect her. Grant her spiritual growth in Your Kingdom and the perfect love that the Bible describes that casts all off fears. Through Christ who promises never to leave or forsake us. Amen

I have to tell you how beautiful the prayers are and how inspiring they can be. The one by Rachael on 3/31/06 was so touching. I am making it a point to make more time to nourish my soul with these messages. I have work to do on myself, I need the strength to do it and I thank all who contribute for the good that they do with their words. Right now, I have some fear in dealing with some things but I pray that I will gain strength from these readings. Bless all of you.

I was recently made aware that one prayer request that I had posted in this forum was unappreciated. Although this person came for prayer on one of my message boards, they were upset I posted it here without their permission. I post here for a larger audience and gathering of pray-ers. After cooling down and much consideration, I will omit posting on this board from my ministries. Thank you that have been dedicated to prayer.

O Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.
So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.
Answer me quickly, O Lord; my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. -Psalm 143

This psalm is the outcry of an overwhelmed spirit that is unable to abide in the highest rate of spiritual prayer. His spirit had grown faint and his heart was distraught. He was completely distressed and literally in tears. However, despite his state, he remembered what God had done in the past, and this helped to renew his strength and faith in God. As he remembered, he stretched out his hands to God and 'thirsted for him like a parched land,' and his prayer suddenly become more impassioned.

Like David, I am certain that we have all reached points in our lives when our spirits have become overwhelmed with worry, pain, doubt, and fear. Maybe you faced financial hardship, heartbreak, a bad report from the doctor, or assault from your enemies. Maybe it was hard to trust God or even see his hand through the pain that clouded your spirits. Whatever the case may be, I want to urge you to remember the days of long ago and meditate on all of God's works and consider what he has done for you in the past. Let this give you the strength to stretch out your hands towards Heaven and passionately cry out to God.

Our prayers are so important because it is through prayer that we connect with Christ and gain the strength to get through any situation we find ourselves in. I charge you to be more honest in your prayers. Don't come to God reciting prayers or trying to be grammar conscious, instead, pour your hearts out and let your prayer be honest and passionate. Prayer should never be just a question and answer session; it should be a spiritually passionate experience that moves you to another realm mentally, spiritually and emotionally. If you ever leave a prayer session feeling the same way you did before you started, then you haven't prayed. So brethren, have you prayed lately?

David prayed and he moved the heart of God and was considered to be a man after God's heart. When you pray, what happens?

Stay blessed in the Lord and spread the word.

In Christ,
Rachael Olorunnisola

Message Board Request from Toni:

Please pray for my mother in law, Betty. She wasn't feeling well this weekend and they finally talked her into going to the ER on Sunday. The doctors found out that she had a mild stroke. They kept her over night and are running multiple tests on her to find out the cause of the stroke and see if surgery is necessary.

Betty is blessed to have children who live close, and her church family around her in her time of need.

Response:

"Father, again we come to you as our Divine Healer. Your child Betty needs a special touch from Your mighty hand. Give the doctors wisdom as they perform tests and develop a treatment plan. Bring Betty back to full and complete health.

We pray this in the matchless name of Jesus, amen."

Let us know how your MIL is doing, Toni.

Message Board request:

Name: Betsy

I want to make this quick and then go down the list of requests. Here's mine to add to the mix:

My mom's church is really seeking God's direction for their church. It's faring very poorly. One day a week they are all fasting/praying that His will be heard, and done. Could you join her in the prayers (South Hills PCA)?

I am really at the end of myself on the eating. I continue to clean things out of the house so I am making progress there. I have great support so I have good progress there. But the more I eat, the more depressed I am, etc. It's a downward spiral and I really want to do right by God. I know He doesn't have this in mind for me.

Any prayers are greatly appreciated!

Response:

Lord, we join with Sarah's church members that are seeking Your will and guidance in the direction of that church. We pray that You rejoice in the prayers and fasting and that You pour out a blessing upon this congregation. Revive the, O Lord that Christ Jesus may be glorified.

We also seek Your favor upon Betsy, dear Lord. She needs to be strengthened to follow her eating plan. She needs a fresh touch from You and she needs to have her motivation restored. May it please You to bless her by giving her new insight and renewed determination. We ask in the name of the Bread of Life, Jesus. Amen

Guidance Grief & Sadness
Comments: My Dear Friends
Friday, March 3, 2006 my beloved baby boy RILEY (age 10) journeyed to HEAVEN.
I know GOD does things for a purpose and I accept this was his will, and at this time I know my baby Riley is there in Heaven. But right now my heart hurts so bad from missing him, so please I need your prayer for strength to get through these days. I thank you all for for your prayers. GOD blessings and love to you all too.
Joanne --

Response:

Grief in our heart brings us before You, Almighty God. The fight for life of Riley is over with. Their life has been denied. This child has given up at the invitation to earthly living and now rests in Your care in heaven.

We can not begin to realize the battle for Riley that was waged. We cannot begin to ever forget the life and hopes that was given to us so very briefly. We cannot begin to forget the pain within us of this young one never given a chance to experience life in fullness.

We pray for the birth mother, Joanne, and father who are so terribly hurt at this loss. We pray for the years that are robbed from them. We pray that the memories stolen can somehow be replaced with other fond memories. We pray that they can pass through death to living again in their lives.

We pray that people surrounding this life do not shun themselves from this loss, but participate in this grief with compassion and Godly strength to minister to the parents.

We pray that we know no other path or comforts but Jesus, who although He knew suffering, also desired that the little ones be gathered unto Him.

We pray, O Holy Spirit, who is also called our Comforter, that You might be pre-eminent and comfort those that grieve the loss of Riley. Apart from You we have no hope of words that will suffice. Apart from the anger and denial we feel, we know that You can work through these issues with us.

Receive Riley in the Kingdom of heaven and comfort the parents. Keep them in Your arms. Send those that understand and can empathize.

We hold You to the promise that those that mourn are blessed. Grant the mourners in this Riley's life hope eternal that it was Your will, understood or not, that desired this child to be with You, through our Savior, Christ Jesus. Amen

Updates on answered prayer # 92
PTL as the mail has just come and we got 2 letters. One was my new bank card so we wont be without one when mine finished at the end of the month. We also got a pin number which we had been waiting for from google for the adverts on our site. It means we can now be paid for those adverts and search.

We have had quite a few sales in the last couple of days so PTL for that.

We have some major decision to make in the next few days, so we would appreciate your continued prayers. We need to go back to the UK and need to know the timing of that, plus what we should be doing with our apartment here.

I just had a chance to speak with Fayrda for a few moments. They are at school, as Russell wanted to go back and finish his work for today, but will be going home soon. The doctor at the clinic told Russell to make sure he stays in a moist environment and to use a saline nasal spray frequently (we have many of those in the house). The irritation is due to dry air. He may not need to see an ENT after all, just keep things moist.

God really blessed with this one. Fayrda told me that she actually had to have an ambulance come and take Russell to the ER this morning. He was bleeding quite badly. Very odd and frustrating that an ER doctor never did examine him and that they advised Fayrda to leave since the nose bleed had stopped. I'm glad Russell was able to be treated by a doctor at the clinic.

We will be crashing and relaxing this evening, that is for sure. It has been quite an exciting day.

God has made a way, and I thank you all for your prayers.

Debbie, thank you so much. I do have a desire of the heart for ministry and I know God is going to bless that because you gathered together in my "hidden room" of desire.
I have marked Collin on my calendar for Tuesday. I have quite a bit of the day free, so I will indeed be in prayer for this perfect, innocent grandchild of yours. You might very well like to post your request on http://invisionfree.com/forums/Grace_Today/
I am very grateful that more are starting to faithfully pray for others on that site. We go where God goes. :)

Healing
Comments: My 31 year old son Joseph was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease 2 years ago. He has returned home last month so we can care for him. He is feeling lost. Please pray for healing.

Thank you. Diane

Response:

Gracious Father, we bring Joseph to You. He has a debilitating disease called Lou Gehrig's. We turn to You for hope and help for him.

Father God, Your Word states that You desire us to be in health. There are verses that proclaim we are healed by Christ's stripes. There are countless examples of Jesus healing many diseases. We believe that You are the same yesterday, today and forever.

For these reasons we pray for Joseph's health, that You might make him well and whole. We pray for his physical well being and healing of any abnormalities that he may have in his body.

We pray, Almighty God that You help him to examine if there is a course of action that he should take to enhance his health.

We pray, Almighty God that Godly doctors will indeed guide him to courses of treatment if available.

We pray, Almighty God to unearth if his nutrition or diet is lacking in essentials.

We pray, Almighty God to examine his inward man and to eradicate any stress or unforgiveness which manifests in a physical ailment.

We pray for Joseph's family who will be caring for him. Touch them and allow them to be vessels of healing and compassion.

We thank You, Father God now for the gift of health and we stand firm that this is Your desire for Joseph. Send forth Your Word to heal, through Christ Jesus. Amen

I just spoke with Fayrda on the phone - Russell has a nosebleed that will not stop. It has been going for over 1 hour and now he feels light-headed. She is taking him to the emergency room so they can pack it and see what is going on. At this point, Fayrda says the doctor told her when she called him that it should be only a few hours in the ER, then they will release him. So, I am not going to the hospital yet unless the situation changes. Hopefully this is all a minor issue and can be easily treated and resolved.

Please pray for healing for Russell and strength and peace for Fayrda (and me).

Thank you.
DAVE

Response:

Lord God, we have no idea why this is happening to Russell and what the cause could be. However we know that it is not normal. We know that You know why this happened and with investigation and diagnosis on the part of physicians what should be done to treat and prevent this. What we are coming before You Lord, is healing for Russell and peace and calmness for his parents as they meet this challenge. We ask You, Father for protection over this child and we ask You for answers that can be met. Grant wisdom in this situation, through Christ Jesus, our healer. Amen

Father God, we are keeping this appointment to watch and pray for Collin.
Father God, how beloved is this young child's life to You and us. So many times You have healed him and kept him safe from peril. So many times You have heard our prayers for him and answered. With confidence we come before You because of Your only begotten Son Jesus, and pray for Collin for You to work a miracle. A safe surgery. A productive result. A speedy recovery. A drawing together of many saints in prayer for this occasion. A time to witness of Your Deity. A time for doctors to learn, teach and heal to help others who have this affliction. A time of family gathering together to receive Your strength and comfort.
We come to You Lord, expecting and willing to receive Your highest will and our chiefest praises for the wonder and guidance You will oversee in this young life. Thank You Father that our concerns are Yours. Amen

In reading the news sites on my lunch hour, I see that there has been serious damage caused by tornadoes in the mid-west yesterday and today. This includes the states of Kansas, Illinois and Missouri. I would ask that we keep this situation in prayer, and also note that one of our dear moderators, Toni, lives in Missouri and pray for her and her family's safety.

Thank you.

Response:

Lord God, Dave is such a watchman and prayer warrior for those who live in states with tornadoes. We join him in his concern for safety for those touched by these natural disasters. We pray that they might be comforted in knowing Your power is so much mightier. We pray for those who have had damage and inconveniences due to these storms, and we ask that order be restored soon in their lives. Watch over your children that face peril and be their abiding place, in Jesus' name. Amen

hi, you guys are the only ones I could think of to ask to pray for me right now...my family is not being very supportive of me right now and I am trying so hard to react in the way Jesus would want me to but I confess I seem to make things worse so I just have to let go and let God. My mother refuses to listen to the way I feel...it is a long soap opera so I'll try to shorten it a bit. I need prayer for God to help me not place so much importance in pleasing people/letting them affect me. Today I was feeling God working in my life and wanted to share some issues I need to pray about and concerns I have right now. She doesn't understand that I am simply trying to build intimacy and bonding and thinks I want her to fix me.. so she blew up at me...My mother is the closest person to me in the world. She raised us in an overprotective very sheltered way, and it has taken me a long time to mature and become comfortable living my life, taking responsibility etc. I just want so much for her to be proud of me and see how I am growing, but lately it is like trying to please the unpleasable. This has happened before and the point is it usually brings me down from the spiritual high I was on and makes me appear the weak and incompotent person she thinks I am. I just so crave someone to be vulnerable with who I don't have to impress or prove myself to... thank God that He is there. So to recap...It is amazing how strong hope is even when dashed to pieces over and over. I get these highs when it is like life is this great adventure, I can just feel God's strength in me and I am so close to God...but all it takes is one negative instance/argument to have me depressed and weak again, so I need to learn to be strong no matter what people do or say. anyway...sorry I am being such a downer lately lol. I just wish the devil wasn't at me constantly, and that my family would be closer and love each other like we used to.

Response from Toni:

Father, we lift Wendy up to you in prayer, asking for strength of spirit for her. Help her to stand fast in Your good and perfect will for her life. Help her to keep her eyes on You, Lord, looking neither right nor left to those who would offer their opinions. Let her joy be in You, Father, the author and finisher of our peace. Thank You for showing Your love to her as she strives to grow closer to You. Thank You for sending Your Son and Your Word ahead to show us the way. Amen

Message Board Request from me (editor):

My nephew Steve was rushed to the hospital while working out of state. He had chest pain and they discovered an aneurysm on his heart. He has Marphins Syndrome and has outlived the life expectancy. He has a great deal of other heart issues going on also. He is in need of open heart surgery. Please pray for him.

Response from Angelic:

Heavenly Father, We bring Steve before you, He is in need of your
healing touch. I ask you to be with him. You created this heart
and I ask that you recreate it, if it be your will.
Please put your angels around him, Put your people around him, to
pray for and with him, to encourage him, and to pray for, and with
the family. Give this family a peace that you are in control of
Steve's life.
According to Medical Knowledge, Steve may have outlived their life
expectancy, but we know that Steve's days are numbered by you.
You gave him a job to do down here, and we ask that Steve stays here
until it is finished. May your praise come from the heart
and voice of Steve and the family. May they lean on you for strength
and comfort.
Amen

Message Board Request from Wendy:

hi, this is probably going to sound strange but I just feel a heavy burden right now after talking about some issues with an online friend. First of all, it is so easy to open up online and think you know a person. I am ashamed to say we talked for a month before religion as he puts it was even brought up and I found out he is a die hard liberal atheist...but I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back in a sense. I am just feeling so many conflicting emotions right now. Scared for the world, even as I trust my savior to protect me. The whole Iranian bomb crisis makes me tremble for the world, but at the same time glad because it makes me think the rapture may not be far off, then sad again because my life is a pathetic dot, and I haven't done anything for him really. I just feel so empty at times, mainly because I am not allowing him to fill me up. Maybe that is why weight loss is so hard...trying to use food for the wrong reasons. Anyway, I tend to think too much at night I know I am probably a little depressed, but the more I see of the world, the more I long for Jesus to come back. But that is selfish, when there are so many lost people in the world. I just feel like I never lived in a time like we are in today. Even after 9/11 I didn't feel this urgency. I think it started in me around the time of the 2004 tsunami-like the world is slowly coming to an end. It seems to me everything on the news points to revelations. Wars, rumors of war, plagues, earthquakes, etc. I don't know what to feel, or how I can best serve the Lord...but I surrender my life to him to do whatever he desires.
Wendy

Response:

Wendy--- I pray God speaks to your heart. I pray God draws you closer. I pray God lead you into a ministry which it sounds like He desires for you. I pray your depression lifts. I pray you find your way to become motivated to diet. I pray God grants you peace. Amen

Message Board Request:

One of my friends had a doctors appointment today and discovered that the doctors wish to do more testing to see if he has a tumor. And if he does... and it is in the fifth stage he will only have six months to live.

He is very upset and doesn't know God fully as of yet. Please pray for his peace of mind, for his faith, that he would know God and have faith. Pray that they find nothing and that if they do God will bring him through it.

Thank you.

Tender Heart

Response:

Father God, we bring Tender Heart's friend before You and we ask that You be with Him. It will be either a time of him seeking You or a time of his bitterness. We know You are patient and long suffering in a person's salvation. We pray that this is a time that You have arranged to have him turn to You. Comfort and support him through his illness. Send those that will proclaim Your name and Your healing power. Touch his body that he might have health and a praise upon his lips. Touch his spirit so that he might desire to lean on You for strength and comfort. Touch his mind that he might have peace that comes from knowing you, in Jesus' name. Amen

---------------------------

I hope no one takes offense, but often we call God the Great Lumberjack. Today He performed another miracle for us. We live rural on 6 acres of wooded property (and have access to 30 acres of wood). This is how we heat our entire house---fallen trees. The danger is the many that surround our house. Plenty have fallen in storms and we barely escaped damage to our being, property and chattel. This morning the winds are 60 mph. I heard a great crash at 5 am. I happened to look out the window and noticed our security light was out. With a flashlight I was able to see the pole and equipment came down without pulling electrical and phone wires with it. Had the wind blown slightly different this would have crashed through the house, specifically where I sat working on the computer. We thank God that once again He has diverted extravagant costs and inconveniences with damage, and once again, sent an angel to move harm from my life.
Thank You God Almighty, for all the unseen miracles You do for me. Thank You, Lord Almighty for all the ones I recognize. Forgive me when complaints come forth from my heart and lips, because You alone preserve me and mine. In Jesus, name, I proclaim Your mighty protection and favor. Amen

We had a deadly disaster averted last evening. We heat the entire house by wood burner and always planned what to do if we had a fire.

Last evening our dog Einstein came running into the house totally scared. We laughed at him, but Dick finally went to look out the window to see what might have scared him. All he could see was black smoke. We had a chimney fire. Long story short all got out safely, but it was Dick's quick thinking that saved our house. We had bought a product to throw in the wood burner in case of a fire. Never knew if it would work or not. It did enough to contain the fire. Dick also used 3 extinguishers. It took the firemen 45 minutes to get here, but that product kept the house from going up.

We can't heat now, but I can give public testimony and praise to God my mighty Protector for sparing us, not just once this week, but twice within 4 days. Almighty God, You protect and provide. We thank You for overseeing this fire, for giving Dick wisdom and for You watchful eye in this situation. We praise You, Lord! Amen

I received my annual performance evaluation at work today, and was informed that I am being promoted from IT Staff Auditor to IT Assistant Audit Supervisor. I will be more involved in the actual project management of audits, with the goal to be promoted within the next year or so to a full IT Audit Supervisor where I would lead audits with staff reporting to me. The promotion will involve a 5% salary increase which will be effective in the pay of April 14.

I share this not to boast, but to give credit to God and glorify Him. In November of 2002 I was laid off from the company I had been with for 14 years as my position was eliminated. The severance package was generous, with almost a full year of pay and benefits, but it took that long for the Lord to open up the door to my current position.

I praise God for his great provision and guidance in my life.

Message board request from Barbara:

Please be in prayer for Glenda (DH niece) She is having her 10th brain surgery tomorrow.

She has a disease, which is such a long name, that causes tumors in brain and sometimes other parts of body. They are not malignant, nevertheless 10 brain surgeries, oh my. Thankfully, she never has had any memory problems or any other problems after these surgeries. They weren't going to do this surgery right now because the tumor hadn't grown, but it started leaking. It is at the base of the brain on top of the spine. There is some concern there because of the possibility of being paralyzed.

Her dad, Bob, has had heart problems. In hospital with irregular heartbeat. If they can't get it regulated, they will have to shock the heart to get it back in rhythm. He might have to have a pacemaker put in later. He had bypass surgery later. DH very concerned, especially after just losing another brother.

Please be in prayer for Glenda, Bob and DH.

Response:

Lord God, how we need you. We ask for peace and a sound mind for Barbara's dh who just lost a brother in death. We ask that he might be able to cling to You throughout this time of health issues with his family.
We ask for healing for Bob as they try to stabilize his heart. We pray the best course of treatment be done for him. We ask you to restore his heart that all might function well.
We also bring Glenda to You and we ask for Your healing to come upon her. We do not know why she must go through this dreaded disease, but we do not that it results in surgeries which are delicate and frightening. We pray that you be with her as well as the surgeons and place a hedge upon her that no harm happen. We ask for all three of these family members to be restored to wholeness, through Christ Jesus. Amen

Quote: No, she's not in a wheel chair. Thank God. She had surgery at 3 months old and we've had her prayed for and the doctors are amazed she can walk and run. :-) She has trouble with her bladder but its something that can be dealt with.
Thank you for praying for her.

This just went out today on our diet message board from Mike. Sympathy and prayer are being poured out.

Friends in Christ, I'd like to ask you to pray for the family of Todd & Michele Wise. Their daughter, who was 13, died suddenly last week from a heart attack. While she had Rett Syndrome this was certainly not expected. I cannot imagine what they are going through and I just pray God's blessing and comfort on this family. Thanks to all. Mike I've attached the obit below so you can see who you are praying for.

WISE, CHRISTINA W., 13, of Lafayette Road, passed away unexpectedly at Hasbro Children's Hospital on January 30, 2006 from complications associated with Rett Syndrome.

Born in Providence, she is the cherished daughter of Todd and Michele (Ceballos) Wise. She lived in Barrington and attended Meeting Street School for many years.

Besides her loving parents, she is survived by her sisters; Mackenzie and Gabrielle, paternal grandmother; Dean Reed, aunts; Rene, Charla, and Shelley, and uncles; Jeff and Randy.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Her funeral will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements are with the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation in memory of Christina. For an online donation, please visit www.rsrf.org.

Published in The Providence Journal on 2/2/2006.

Praise and update for Kathy:

Prayer is a wonderful gift!...that keeps on giving!!!

This morning...We have sooooooo much to be thankful for!!!

It was kind of late last evening when I got home...and while I've been trying to type this email...I have also been answering the phone...so this is not being sent out quite as soon as I had hoped/planned.

And this family gives ALL the glory to the LORD who deserves it all!!!
AND...Kathy still needs to be lifted in prayers please!!!

(IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ ALL THE SURGICAL DETAILS ... YOU MIGHT WANT TO DELETE THE EMAIL AT THIS TIME. I realize that NOT everyone wants all the details...but quite a few people have asked lots of different questions and this is the easiest way for me to "get the word out" so to speak!)

The surgery took about 5 1/2 hours.
They removed about 3 liters of fluid from her abdomen and the tumor(s). Dr. Jenison did not have a specific 'weight' or 'size' of the tumor(s) removed but from the example that he held his hands in front of his abdomen...it was quite large, was surrounded by all the fluid and then they are small tumors that have moved to other areas in the abdominal cavity.

No lymph nodes, vital organs, liver or the kidneys were found to be invaded with cancer. A GAZILLION PRAISES!!!
The appendix was involved and it was removed. (no real important loss there! :o)

HE said she has probably had this tumor growing for 2 to 3 years or more. This kind of cancer is very 'sneaky' and difficult to catch early because the symptoms do NOT lead them to the ovaries or fallopian tubes and until it is advanced...it is not easily found by normal yearly examinations. (the Dr. words) He said that it probably could have been found with a normal internal exam ONLY ABOUT 3 months earlier. All the fluid accumulation in the abdomen is what finally throws up red flags and gets them headed in the right direction for diagnosis.
They feel that they probably removed nearly 99% of the tumors.(earlier I had said 90%...but a correction... my notes from the Doctor's post surgery conference said that he had actually said about 99%!) PRAISE AGAIN!!
The tumors that are left are all less than 1 centimeter in size...and this is considered optimal range for recovery and the chemo should be very effective on them. Dr. Jenison said that they have found that these small tumors will most likely be kind of dormant for a couple weeks and then they seem to realize that the main tumor mass is missing and they need to go seeking blood sources so they can continue to grow. And this is in the 2-6 week post surgery time when they start the chemo treatments...that these tumors are very open/ripe etc. for absorbing the chemo which in turn kills the tumors. So all this is a good thing!!!
The peritoneum (lining in the abdomen) seemed thicker than usual...but that was a blessing the doctor said because he was able to strip it away from the pelvis walls and about 80% of the cancer tumor peeled off with it. The rest of the tumors were removed more individually with very special tools. There were some small tumors that they were not able to remove but they were all less than 1 cm in size.
The sigmoid colon (the lowest colon area) was involved. He said that gravity causes the cancer cells to move downward and settle in this area... but they did NOT have to remove any sections of the colon...but they worked at least 1 hour to scrape and remove the cancer from the outside of that section of the colon. ANOTHER PRAISE!

Dr. Jenison sends a sampling of the tumor to a lab in California. They will actually "grow" the tumor there and will 'test' which chemo meds will work most effectively on her particular tumor! He is a 'specialist' in every sense of the word! He helped do the research to develop the CA-125 blood test to test for ovarian cancer...and he also helped do the research for the cathedras used to administer chemo directly into the abdomen for ovarian cancer treatments. Just last week this type of chemo treatments were published in medical journals and were publicized on the TV news as being quite helpful for some types of chemo treatments. It will be decided after the lab results have returned...whether there will just be the usual chemo or if it will be chemo in addition to the direct abdominal chemo treatments.

It sounds like they expect her chemo regimen to be about 6 months.

During the surgery her blood pressure went kind of low once but they were able to restore it to normal without much problem.
They gave her 2 units of blood during the surgery and gave her 2 more units of blood by the time we saw her around 7:30-8 p.m.

She is spending the night in the "surgical recovery unit" because they have NO beds available in critical care.
At this time they plan to move her to an intensive critical care unit for 2 or 3 days when a bed becomes available and they said that she will probably spend 7 to 10 days in the hospital.

Prayers are still needed!!! They need FAVOR from the insurance company to be able to stay 7-10 days...(pre-op the insurance company said that she could stay for "2" days...that will need to be reviewed and revised post-op
Dr. Jenison said that with the LARGE amount of peeling and scraping done ... not to mention the normal surgery cutting needed to perform this surgery in her abdomen...it has kind of placed her in a tough spot...but one that we all know is necessary! The loss of fluids and the body's inability to retain fluids he said makes her body react as though there are burns over about 1/3 of her body. And... if you know much about burn victims...there is pain, but also the body can not regulate it's temperature as well as previously, and the ability to maintain fluid levels is critical...and the possibility of infections are REALLY REALLY HIGH for several days!

So... PLEASE THANK our Lord for "His" help and if at all possible please continue to lift Kathy for post-surgery healing and strength and determination for chemo treatments that will be ahead of her.

Prayer Book Request from Beth:

Annapolis, MD USA

To be delivered from troubles
Comments: I have had such a hard time with eating and my weight - from anorexia to overeating. I'm 22 and so tired of dealing with this. Please pray for deliverance and joy. I've tried so hard to give my life over to the Lord and be content in any situation, but I always seem to hit a brick wall. Please pray against hopelessness and that I will learn to love myself, as self-loathing is the same as telling God I hate His creation. Thank you so much for your support and prayers.

Response:

Lord God, we call You Father and Abba. How You love us and how we resist You at times. We lovingly come to You in confidence and ask for deliverance for Beth. We ask that you take her dilemma in dieting and teach her how to eat healthy. We will be open to the path that You direct.

Lord God, we ask that You turn her mourning into joy. We ask that You bless her with great and powerful faith. We ask that You fill her with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, self-control. Help Beth to be well and whole and healthy. Your Word alone gives us faith to believe that this is Your will for her. Set her free to be a normal body size, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen

I want to share this email I received from someone at church. Please join me as Christians and lift Chad up before the Lord, as well as his family. Thankfully, we serve a healing God. It's my prayer that His will be done. God Bless, Mike

PRAYER CHAIN FOR CHAD FIELD

From: Vicky Field - Granbury, TX.

My son has been shot in Falujah..I wanted to get everyone to pray for my son Chad. Today, Sunday,Jan 1st, I got a call from the Army that my son had been shot in the head. I am asking for all our prayers.

He was in a Humvee going through Falujah fighting and a gang of militia fighters fired on the Humvee and hit Chad in the head. The driver got him out of the city and took him to Baghdad..

He was in fatal condition, but now has been upgraded to stable critical. His dad and I are on standby to fly to Washington then on to Germany as soon as the military calls us to go. The Army is trying to stabilize him enough to fly to Germany and at that time we will leave. Please pray that my son will not have brain damage and that he will be restored and healed ! by the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God. I ask for you to pass this prayer request on so there will be many prayer warriors praying for him.

Thank you so much and I will try to keep you updated on his condition.

God Bless

Vicky Field

Granbury, TX

Response:
Lord God, in our spirit we know that You have spared Chad's life. We pray that You save from from the door of death. We know Your ways are above ours, but as a mother I ask in behalf of Vicky that You breathe healing into Chad. They You hasten his recovery. That You give peace to those that love him and are afraid. Work this to Your glory, Lord and be mindful that we thank You for all You have done and will do through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen

Email request from Connie and family:

1. Request for my sister, Kathy Wilkes. (her husband, Allen)

She has an appt. this afternoon, Thurs. at 1:30 p.m. It appears she has a fluid mass near her left ovary. The gall bladder seems to be OK. But the size of this has increased ALOT in the past 2 weeks of testing. I'm going with her for the appt. To hear the results of 2 ultra sound tests and an MRI. She is sooooo uncomfortable. Is not able to find comfortable positions to rest. And is in GREAT need of your prayers.

I am going prepared incase the decide to do emergency surgery!

************************************************************

2. Request for prayer for Kaela Franks.

(Elementary School aged- our great niece on Ed's side)

We just found out yesterday that Kaela has a tumor above her kidney. Generally those kinds are malignant. If it is attached to her spine, that will be a whole different thing. Depending on what they find out, they will do surgery either Friday (if they find that it is attached to the spine) or Monday, if they do not feel it is attached – it depends on the diagnosis today.

You can imagine that they really need to be lifted up in prayer.

****************************************************************************

3. My brother Chuck & his wife Sara Eicher, in the death of Sara's grandmother.

The funeral is today, Thursday. Chuck and Sara need immense prayer support right now. Many past factors are playing into their situation! Some of our family will not be in attendance with them today due to Kathy's doctor's appointment.

******************************************************************************************************

4. My Mom, Dolores Eicher.

She has had arthoscopic surgery on both shoulders in the recent past. Her left shoulder is in need of being totally replaced. They had a Dr. appt. this week. She is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13th! That is a LONG way off when she is in so much pain. Pains are shooting into her arm even when it is not being used. So sleep is not abundant for her either! She breaks into tears from the constant pain. But... my Mom is a trooper!!! She just keeps on going! There is a possibility that if they have a cancelation...she may be able to have the shoulder replacement surgery sooner...but NO guarantees at all on that front!!!

She needs a miracle opening on their surgery schedule!!!

***********************************************************************

Our 6 day trip to Gulf Port, MS was such a blessing. I want to write about it...but as you can read from the requests above...life emergencies are kind of taking a front row seat around here!

Thank you so very much for praying for each of these situaitons!

PS...Hannah will be driving home from NY by herself on Christmas Eve, Saturday...safety!!!

Request:

Posted: Dec 16 2005, 07:18 PM

I'm pretty numb now. DH had that fight again - the one where he tells me to get out (I don't) and that he wishes he hadn't married me. It all started because he drug it out of me that I remember that his mother and son, for Christmas, pretty much say, "I was going to throw this out but thought you might want it. So I figured I'd give it to you for Christmas." I'd rather get nothing, than someone's garbage with a bow on top. But this time he added to the mix, "you are the reason I'm so turned off to Christianity. You think you're so special." I need prayers
1) to stay with him
2) to really look at myself as others do to see if I am being a bad witness. I know God doesn't need my help if He wants to save John's soul so it could be Satan stepping in gleefully. Or it could be a call to examine myself.
3) to stop eating in self-pity. I'm down about a half a bag of Hershey Kisses so far...

Response:

Dear Betsy, that indeed is the enemy attacking you in the guise of John's flesh and blood. However words like that will always stay with us. I know. Persoanlly I have thought that John was abusive. This is certainly another example that qualifies. I am praying for you in my private prayers and I am posting this prayer for after marital disharmony.

Our great God, I am hurt and I am in need. The Bible says, "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" Amos 3:3

There is disharmony in my marriage right now and there is division. There has been strife and I do not know how to recover and makes things right.

It is so difficult to forget the stinging words and verbal assault. My spirit wants to forgive and reconcile, but my mind does not want to forget and let bygones be bygones.

I am going to try with Your divine strength to take the first step by confessing to You I also have said or done things that have not glorified You. I ask for Your forgiveness. I know You are reading my heart as I speak and I pray that it might once more be a temple of the Holy Spirit.

I thank You for Your grace and for Your forgiveness. I read in Your Word that You cast our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. I ask You to cast my sin far from me and create a clean spirit within me once again.

I ask also, Gracious Lord, that You visit my spouse and cause them to seek Your forgiveness. Cleanse them and enable them to stand aright before You once more.

I petition You Lord, that the two of us might both desire to reconcile.

I petition You Lord, that we both might humbly seek harmony and peace within our marriage again.

I petition You Lord, that You would help us to communicate our needs objectively to one another.

I petition You Lord that You might remove any bitterness or controlling spirits within us.

I petition You Lord, that You cause us to return to our first love for one another and for You.

Help us Lord God, to unite once again with the purpose of having a sacred marriage that honors and glorifies You.

We praise You God that You have directed us in our marriage and in creating a home that might be a fit dwelling place for You, and for those that visit to witness a Godly example of a Christian marriage.

We thank You God for this blessed union, for forgiveness and for reuniting us through Christ Jesus. Amen

Two message board requests from yesterday:

Posted: Dec 14 2005, 05:05 PM
My wife Fayrda just called me to tell me that her dad is in the hospital. He apparently has had a minor heart-attack within the past few days, and an EKG done at a routine doctor appointment earlier today showed this. He is doing fine, but they are keeping him in overnight for testing. I was going to request prayer for him soon anyway, as he was recently diagnosed with protate cancer and was going to see a urologist at 4:00 pm today for a treatment plan

Please keep my father-in-law Fred in prayer for physical healing, and strength for my mother-in-law Laura. They are both in their early 80's.

Thank you.

Praise:
Thank you for all of your prayers. He is doing well, and it looks like they are keeping him in the hospital one more day for observation and to make sure he is OK. The bad thing is that today is my mil's birthday.

Dear Bianca,

I just wrote a prayer for conception today. This is my prayer dedicated to you.

Father God, I come to You having had an example in the Bible put before me. I desire to become pregnant and without Your favor and blessing this will be an impossibility.

Hannah was barren and poured out her soul before You. You heard her cries and You granted her request of a child. The impossible had become possible. It reads, "And Jehovah remembered her." (1 Samuel 1:19) That is the desire of my heart, dear Lord. Remember me.

I pray as I read countless times that You opened the womb of various women so that they could conceive, You likewise open my womb.

I pray that if there is a physical malady that is blocking my way to become pregnant, that You lead me to the physician and procedure that can reverse it.

I pray that if it is a matter of timing that You give me the peace and patience to await this gift of life.

I pray that You will receive my sincere petition and I vow to raise this child to know You. I will be the best possible mother that I can be. I do solemnly swear to not take this blessing lightly.

I come to You, faith believing, O Creator, through the blessings and name of Christ Jesus and I ask that You grant me the opportunity to be a mother. Amen

I apologize that at times I don't post all requests I receive, It is demanding. Here are three message board prayers requests from yesterday.

Posted: Dec 14 2005, 01:32 AM

I know this is kind of trivial, but this lady is giving me a headache. She bought books off of me at the begining of November. I didn't get her money order until right before Thanksgiving. With the holidays, I didn't have time to get to the post office so they weren't sent out until Nov 30. And since I wasn't on ebay for a couple of weeks I didn't know there was a problem. She has posted a nasty comment on my profile and wants me to refund her money since she still hasn't gotten the books. I have the receipt from when I sent them to her, but it just has the city and date, and that it was a parcel. And I have nothing to say that she has or hasn't gotten them. Please pray that she gets the books soon and the dispute will be ended.

Thanks!

Lenise

Response:
Heavenly Father, you know where that package is right now. We know the post is slow this time of year, but we pray the package arrives and that hot tempers may quiet down. We ask that You work this for the good of all parties involved. Through Christ Jesus we pray. Amen

The husband of one of the former teachers at my wife and sons' school passed away Friday. Keith was only 27 years old, and took some new pain medication for a back problem and went into a coma and never came out. They got married in June, and Bridgette is expecting a child due in February.

The funeral is currently in progress at the church that the school is affiliated with and shares the building with. Fayrda has spoken with Bridgette, who is holding up well right now.

I am praying for God to comfort and strengthen Bridgette at this very hard time.

Response:
Lord God, comfort as only You can. Provide support to Bridgette in the upcoming months and years to come. Be with her through her pregnancy and cause her to have reason to take care of herself. This was a life cut short, but we are trusting Keith is now dwelling with You. Help the survivors to turn to You and lean on You through their loss. Amen

Please say a lttle prayer when you think of my family. My daughters (8 and 12) and my hubby have glaucoma. Yep...usually only "old" people have this condition. It has led to blindness in my hubby's grandfather, and is, for the most part, controllable.

Over the past 2 years, my family has been diagnosed and we are working very hard to be proactive. Each of them takes drops daily. Their pressures are still high, but better than they are without drops. We will be visiting a glaucoma specialist in Philly this Jan. for the girls. The girls, especially my youngest, battle some anxiety with their condition. They have watched Pap as he has lost all vision.

Just whisper a prayer for their eyes when you can. God is faithful. Thanks so much!
Response:

Lord God, we know this is an insidious disease. We are learning more about prevention, and we pray for wisdom for this family. We ask that You place a hedge about them, and keep this disease far from them. It is our duty to do as well as to pray. Help this family to be free through education and preventive medicine. Protect them. Hoover over them. Make them well, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

A message board request. Please keep wintercries and son in your prayers.

Posted: Dec 10 2005, 05:56 AM

My late husband passed away three an a half years ago from cancer. I took care of him at home during that time while raising my children. They saw to much and had a hard time. They know he is no longer in pain and that God is taking care of him now. But my son is a young teenager now and still gets angry from not having his dad around. He see's other families out together with a mom and dad. He has started blaming me and cursing me. I try to be understanding and talk to him after he calms down. I'm not sure how much is just him trying to become a young man, and how much he's in pain from losing his dad. Our family has had many heartaches, since my late husband's passing, my daughter who's grown and married with a young son lost an unborn baby and had to have surgery. Then my dad passed away this year, the only other male that was close to my son. So I know his heart hurts. I would like to ask that if anyone would like to, to please pray for my son to find peace and comfort in his heart. Thank you, it's greatly appreciated.

Response:
Lord God, You are a Father. You are our Father. You defend the widow and the orphan. We ask for prayer on behalf of wintercries who suffered a grievous loss, and who has the responsibility of comforting her children. We bring to mind her son, who is struggling at this time. We know You can comfort. We know You can remove the pain. We know You can bring peace and acceptance in this young man's life. That is what we are pleading in the name of Christ Jesus. For those that surround him, wisdom. For him a close relationship with the Holy Spirit-our Comforter. Help us Lord, God as we plead our cause before You through the shed blood of Christ who heals us. Bring relief for wintercries son and the whole family. Amen

My medical expense has put me in financial difficulties(yes, I have insurance, but the co pays are very expensive and if you have diagnositic testing the medical builds up fast). I don't know how much more that I can handle. I thought about a second job, but it is hard with working 4 days a week 10 hour days. With the volunteer work I don't have to go if I am sick, but with a job they would require me to be there and Im just sick so much I am a fraid I would not be able to keep up. My son works on Sundays for 3 to 4 hours and with school and sports he is really busy. I don't want to take his childhood away from him and say you have to get a job to pay bills. I want him to be a kid and enjoy what time he has as a young adult. I just don't have anymore ideas and I feel really lost at this point. It was so hard to save money in the past trying to have a home and really struggling from the beginning of being a single parent. M! y family isn't much better financially so I can't ask them for! help. I have two smart and pretty dogs that need to find a home. I don't want them to be taken to a shelter, they deserve a loving family to spend the rest of their lives with. Rusty the male dog even found my breast cancer, by always digging in my breast. Please pray for me and my son. I pray that all my bills get caught up. I pray my credit cards (I only have two), my car loan and my medical bills get paid off. I would like to find my two dogs a nice home and then sell my home and find a cheeper place to live. I do need money to fix up somethings in my home so I can get a good price to pay off my first and second morgage. I have been praying I have money to put in my saving and checking so I could start over. I would make sure I put money away each month so that I never get this low again. However, I would like to have a little left to help some other people that are struggling and need just a lift. Please pray for me I know that with pray all things are possi! ble I have seen God power in other things in my life, but I really need the Lord to bless me with this financial miracle.
Bless each and everyone one for praying.
Love,
Tina M
Response:

Loving Father, Tina is a single Mom and she is overwhelmed at her bills, finances and medical needs. We know that You have numbered every hair on her head, and we know that every problem she has is Your concern.

We ask that Jesus Christ, our Husbandman undertake for Tina and work a wonder in her life, especial in this crucial month of December. Help her to concentrate on the reason for the season and prepare her to be ready with praise for all You are endeavoring to do in her life.

We are actually asking for a financial miracle so the needs of Tina and children will be met. We are asking that You open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon her. We ask for Your peace and comfort as she awaits an answer to the many prayers spoken in her behalf.

Bless Tina and provide for her, through Christ Jesus who has redeemed her. Amen

Ann, Keith could quite well be bi-polor. I was diagnosed 23 years ago and really had a rough time getting the proper care, or even believing I needed it. I have been eposode free now for 9 1/2 years through God's grace and trial and error until the right medication was found. There is deliverance in Christ. I hope that Keith might be awakened that there is a problem. I hadn't been until my parents committed me and it really angered and hurt me. I did eventually understand and get past that. Here is a prayer for mental illness I wrote:

Father God, we beseech you to help us understand the disease of mental illness. It frightens us and disturbs us. Every year in the United States alone 54 million people are affected by one or more mental illnesses. That means that we know someone who is suffering, and we now offer our prayers for them.

We know from statistics that it affects young and old alike and the median delay for treatment is about ten years.

Lord, we know of someone right now who is suffering from mental illness, and in the name of Christ Jesus we bring them to You for help.

We ask Lord, firstly that we may not be filled with bitterness and condemnation, but compassion instead.

We ask Lord, that we may not hold this illness against them.

We ask Lord, for education and not ignorance of this chemical brain disturbance.

We ask Lord, for help and wisdom in getting this person the best treatment, counseling, support or medicine available.

We ask Lord, that You might not only stabilize, but heal.

We ask Lord, that this person might be restored to a healthy relationship with You.

We ask Lord, a precious promise in Your Word which says, (1Co 2:16 ) "But we have the mind of Christ."

Surely we must be humble as Jesus was in His ministry to minister to those that were so troubled. Help us to see this loved one through the process of deliverance.

Grant us the patience to see this person through to safety where they might think and act with reason and recognize You as Lord and Healer, through Christ alone we pray. Amen

Please continue to pray for my son Keith and My daughter in law.
Their divorce will be final on October 31. Pray that the peace
of God will be up on him and that he will help her in this
transition financially because she is not asking him for
anything. She only wants peace and prays that he will get the
help he needs mentally, physically, and most of all spiritually.

This marriage has been so difficult for her and the children and
trully she has been a submissive wive and a very good mother to
my grandchildren. She demonstrates proverbs 31 The "Virtous
Woman and Mother."

I pray Romans 12:1-2 and 1John 1:9 Says If we confess our sins
He is faithful and just to forgive us of all of our sins.
(Paraphrase) Please pray that my son will be convicted by the
Holy Spirit and confes and agree with God that he needs help.

Thanks and God Bless you and Empower you as you lift up these
prayers to Him in Faith.

I am really not sure if my son is on drugs or whether he is suffering from a condition called Bi-Polar.

Thanks for returning for this message, Ann. It sounds like Keith is the one who needs our prayers right now, and BTW, what a horrible date to remember when a divorce is final! Ann, is Keith mentally ill possibly, or is he addicted to some substance that has tore apart this marriage? Had he claimed Jesus at some point in his life as personal Savior? This is also a discussion board at well as a prayer site. I would love to have direction before I pray. Thank you and may God keep you safely hid in His hands.

Prayer Book Request. Please keep Chrissy's husband in your prayers:

Healing
Comments: I pray for our heavenly Father to shine his countenance down upon my severly ill and beloved spouse who today goes into a diagnostic procedure which may show cancer. Please pray with me that the surgeon's hand will be steady and the test results less severe than anticipated. Oh, Lord, our Almighty Healer, hear our prayers. Amen

Response:

Our gracious and loving Father, may our greatest fears pale in comparison to Your great mercy. We come before You and ask for healing for Chrissy's husband. We ask that You touch his body and remove the unwanted cells in his body that would show to do him harm. We ask that You grant him health instead. We ask that you be with him through the diagnostic procedure and calm him, granting him instead your peace. We ask You for favor and health in his behalf, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Gracious Father, we join in praying for the tender life of Madison. We unite with other Christians throughout this nation to intercede on her behalf. We ask You, Lord to touch her body and heal her. We ask for wellness in her life. She has had illnesses plaguing her almost since birth and we turn to You to heal her completely. We ask that You protect her from further disease and complications. We ask for her to be made whole through the stripes of Jesus Christ. Comfort Madison's family and be their strength. May our prayers for this young life be acceptable to You and please You. On You alone we cleave, through Christ Jesus. Amen

Good morning family, friends and co-workers, My name is Kathy Hayes and I am an expeditor in the Purchasing Dept. I am sending out an urgent plea for your prayers for my granddaughter. Madison Marie Crowder is 6 months old today. She has been seriously ill since she was 2 weeks old and has been in and out of the ICU most of her little life. She and her parents, my daughter and her husband, and my 2-year-old grandson live in Utah. They have no family or friends up there to help them, so they depend solely on our prayers and the grace of God to give them strength and hope to get thru this very heart-wrenching time. Madison has a dangerous form of pneumonia that can lead to meningitis in infants. This form of meningitis is deadly. They have already drained fluid off of her brain and today will do a MRI on her spine. They are putting her on a form of life support, not to keep her breathing, but to assist her in breathing. Her breathing is very labored and her heart rate very high, meaning her heart is pumping very hard because she keeps gasping for breath and turning blue. The support system will assist her heart so it doesn't have to work so hard and ease her breathing. We send e-mails every day that says you will have good luck for 7 years if you send this e-mail to 8 people. Well, I am pleading with you today, to please send this e-mail out to as many of your friends who will pray for Madison. I have attached pictures of Madison as she was just a few months ago and Madison today. They are at the end of this e-mail.

I thank you all so much and I pray God blesses each and every one of you and all of your children with excellent health.

With much gratitude....

Kathy Hayes.

Lord in Your mercy, we bring Kenneth before Your throne of grace and we ask for relief from his arthritis. Lord, he lives in constant pain and mobility is difficult. We know Lord that You can comfort him and You can heal him. We ask for You hand to be upon him and bring him health. We ask that Kenneth remains in faith awaiting for his healing. We recall Scripture which says, Psa 18:29 "For by thee I run upon a troop; And by my God do I leap over a wall." We are just asking Lord, for normal movement in his physical body as his spirit soars. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Debbie-----beautiful. Thank you for being a prayer warrior and filling in the gap.

Prayer request from my message board. Please keep this event and Wendy in your prayers:

hi, even though this is way ahead of time, I feel a tug on my heart to consider going to the urbana conference. I gave up my cell phone to save money. (it still has 911 access) That can save me nearly $400 in a year. I now need to find a way to raise the remaining $300 or so. I have considered going twice and always backed off because of money and this could be my absolute last chance. It is in December 2006 in St Louis. Please pray for me that God shows me where the money will come from and ways to earn it. I am also going to ask my church to consider supporting me but I feel a little guilty about that since I haven't been going there long. Also, there is the issue of the great amount of debt I am already in from school loans, but I think if this is really important to God to send me, he will find a way to get past all that. I have a long time to save and get ready so I pray this will happen for me. (also wouldn't it be really cool beyond belief to go there with a renewed wholeness coming from loosing 100 pounds or so!).
Thanks,
Wendy
also, just to clarify, if you have never heard of this conference, it is a huge gathering of literally 10s of thousands learning about the mission field God has placed them in and learning more about their individual call to whatever He wants for them. It used to be in Urbana, Illinois, but because it grew so big, it is in ST Louis this time. It is offered every 3 years and I have found a way to tell God unconsciously, to shut up the previous 2 times.
Wendy
Response:

Wendy, I am all in favor of this, as I am praying that God is also! I believe in missions and training with all my heart--the heart of Christ who told us to go into all the world. DO NOT hesitate to ask the church to support you in finances or prayer. That is pride to not seek.
I am placing you on my prayer list and I hope to hear further discussion and evidence of God leading you. God bless you.

Lord you see the dynamics that are going on in this marriage, and I pray that you will speak to both the hearts of these two Adults.
Lord I ask you to ahold of this man and shake him to the core, Lord I pray you reveal his actions and his behavior to himself, and let him see what he has become.
Let his heart be broken over what he has subjected his family to and over the possibility of losing them.
I ask you to speak to this wife, I ask you to give her Godly wisdom and you show her what to do, mend this broken heart and help her to step out in faith, in Whatever you tell her to do.
I pray for the children for what they have witnessed, and heard and felt, I pray you would reconnect this family and take what satan has meant for evil to make them stronger & closer.
Grace oh Lord I speak Grace over this family.

Ann, I have never seen a prayer request in my entire life from a MIL requesting prayer for a DIL and especially in this situation. Usually there is much denial going on. I am humbled and will pray for your son to see the light of Christ and for your daughter-in-law to receive healing in these areas. You have touched me with your concern and I will pray in my own fashion. I want to add this prayer for her though, because she is our real topic.

Prayer To End Abusive Relationship

Almighty God, I am in such need. I throw myself on Your mercy and ask for Your help and strength in freeing me from this abusive relationship.

I am exhausted and drained and do not know how to escape this vicious cycle. My mind was so overwrought in survival that it took a long time for me to realize I have been abused verbally, mentally, emotionally, spiritually,
sexually and physically. My self-esteem is at an all time low.

I know that this is not Your will for me. I know that nothing good remains in this relationship. I know that I will need divine strength from above to make my exit.

I recall Jesus said, "But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next." It is truly time for me to move on and leave behind the terror and fear that keeps me from functioning as a whole person.

Almighty God, I just don't know how to do this. I just have so much anxiety in breaking free and in starting over. I need You to give me a sound mind and a plan of action. I need support and aid from others, and I need to forgive myself for clinging to this relationship for so long.

I implore You, God to set me free.

I implore You, God to help me to plan a safe exit.

I implore You, God to daily guide me.

I implore You, God to give me sanity and peace.

I implore you God to help me financially to relocate and support myself.

Help me, Lord through this transition period and lead me into a land that has promise. Help me, in the name of Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen

Prayer Request for my son and his wife. They are having serious marital problems and comtemplating divorce because my son has been verbally abusive. He is like Dr. Jekyel and Mr Hyde. She has a very humble and meek and loving submissive spirit. that is being physically affected by his verbal abuse. She has ulcers and severe headaches. They have been married 17 years and have 3 beautiful Christian children ages 13, 15, 17.

I am praying that God's will be done and that my son will seek counseling. This situation is so stressful for her and the children.

Thanks for your prayers.

Prayer Book entry on gossip and forgiveness:

To be delivered from troubles To be forgiven by my formal friends
Comments: I am so sad. I know Ivé let 2 of my good friends down, I confided in them, about the other friend when I was annoyed and stuff. I also said things I regret a lot. But I can´t make it undone. No matter how much I want it..

They aren´t my friends no more..That hurts. But I understand them. I need people to pray for them that they may be healed in their hearts and minds, from thoughts that I may have caused them to think/feel. And for me and my heart, for me to be able to move on, even if my heart is so broken right now. It´s so heavy..

Response:

Almighty God, I come to You humbled and sorrowed today. We all know of what the "Seven Deadly Sins" are. We all know that You hate what I have now found myself participating in--gossip.

Pro 6:16 "There are six things which God hates; Yea, seven which are an abomination unto him: Pro 6:17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood; Pro 6:18 A heart that devises wicked purposes, Feet that are swift in running to mischief, Pro 6:19 A false witness that utters lies, And he that sows discord among brethren."

I see my sin of omission and commission. When I heard the gossip I should have shut my ears immediately and refused to listen to it. That would have been the right thing to do. And instead of being so swift to run and tell another, I should have been silent and refused to lower myself repeating gossip.

I am truly sorry for my actions and I regret deeply harming another with slanderous words that are not true. I am not only disappointed in my actions, but I also know I have disappointed as well as angered You.

Lord, help me to rectify this wrong I have done in harming another with careless and untrue words. May You guide me to make it up to that person and to seek their forgiveness. May You also guide me to trace my steps back and tell those that have heard my words how wrong I was.

I have sinned against You, Almighty God in word, thought and deed. Forgive me and make this a valuable lesson for me to never participate in such an unwise sin again. If I should ever become the target of gossip, let me accept it as retribution and be as swift to forgive. Help me to encourage that person that I have harmed of Your love as well as my repentance for this situation. May they forgive me also, through the power of Christ Jesus. Amen

Response:

Gracious God, we bring before You those who are having financial difficulties. We pray that You provide for them and make a way for their needs to be met. Your Word promises in Psa 37:25 "I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread."

Our difficulties meeting basic finances are a hardship right now. We feel that we might almost have to beg, borrow or steal to meet needs. Yet we have Your precious promise that we would not be forsaken or beg. You are our Provider and we look to You.

We pray for a blessing on their finances. We ask that their resources be multiplied. We ask that You help them to sit down and examine their expenditures and cut back where they can without hardship. We ask You to oversee their needs and to provide and make a way for them. We ask for wisdom in deciding the most urgent bills and the ones that can be consolidated or postponed without penalty.

We are asking Lord, that You grant wisdom in handling our finances.

We are asking Lord, that we be better at setting our priorities.

We are asking Lord, that we might eradicate any waste or items that burn a hole in our pockets.

We are asking Lord, that we might become good and generous stewards in the Kingdom of God.

We are asking Lord, that You get us through this time of financial need and that we will recognize this provision from Your hand.

As Jesus multiplied the lad's loaves and fishes so that all ate and was satisfied, we are asking in the mighty name of Jesus, that the same miracle be performed for us. We thank and praise You by our trust with watchful, grateful hearts. Amen

From Dave:

Prayer For Those Affected By Hurricane Rita

Father God, Your power is awesome. You control the winds and the rains.

Lord, another hurricane named Rita is hitting the southwestern section of the United States. We bring before you those that are being affected by this storm, many of which have recently been affected by the hurricane named Katrina. There are people being moved from temporary housing and those being removed from their homes.

Grant comfort to those that have lost loved ones in both of these storms.

Take control, dear God, of the US government’s efforts to rescue and rehabilitate these people. May our leaders have Your wisdom and guidance, and show love and compassion as they provide aid.

Strengthen and protect those that are involved in this current rescue effort.

Provide shelter to those in the midst of the newest storm, and keep them safe in the palm of Your hand.

Provide emotional healing to all involved with these devastating storms.

Provide the needed means for people to be able to rebuild their homes and their lives.

Through all this, Dear God, may you be glorified and your name honored.

In Jesus name we pray, amen.

A message board request from Tim. Please keep his family in your prayers:

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I'm writing to ask that you all would please pray for me and my daughter Rachel.

There's been an unfortunate situation concerning Rachel and her husband Cody revolving around marital issues and child custody issues. Currently they are living in Hilo, Hawaii. This afternoon I'm taking a flight to Hilo in an attempt to assist my daughter in this matter. I would truly appreciate your prayers. I'm not sure when I'll be back. Much of it will depend on what takes place while I am there. I'm trusting all of you to pray pray pray. I need God's wisdom and Rachel needs God's comfort. Also, pray for my precious Brenda and my parents. We're all trusting God in this situation.

Response:

Heavenly Father, you know this situation inside and out and You are fair. We ask for comfort for Rachel during this upsetting and unsettling time. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance to be upon you. We rejoice that her Dad, Tim is willing to go and lend a helping hand and support. We ask that You guide him with wise words and strong shoulders. We also ask for traveling mercies. We come before You also to ask for support for the family during this time. Watch over them and keep them in the shelter of Your everlasting arms. In Jesus' name. Amen

Kathy, not strange at all to hear from you today for you have been in my heart and prayers. God has stretched my mustard seed faith many times in the area of home payment provision. I know that God hears and answers every prayer I utter, and as you said, "in His time."
This subject of owning homes has been in my thoughts lately. I am so grateful that I do have a home, as I know you are. Have you been able to come up with a sale-able item to meet the mortgage? Have you heard anything new from the bank? Have you been able to supplement at all with government aid?

Another subject, but I had written a prayer today for sale of a house. Perhaps something in it may touch base. God hears as He blesses you!

Prayer For Sale Of A House

Lord God, my home has served me well and I am grateful for the memories that are here. It is now necessary to sell my house and I turn to Your help to make this transaction happen.

I know the house is not perfect. I know a seller's market right now is not favorable. But I do know that You can bring a buyer, a perfect match to this house and see that the sale goes through.

Help me Lord, to do all that is necessary to prepare the house for sale.

Help me Lord, to get a fair price.

Help me Lord, to get a sale within a reasonable frame of time.

Help me Lord, to negotiate if need be.

Help me Lord, to work through the closing papers so there be no snags.

Help me Lord, to trust You fully for this answer to prayer and to glorify You when the sale goes through.

Help me Lord, to re-invest the proceeds from the sale wisely.

I ask this request through the Son of man, Jesus, who Scripture proclaims had no where to lay His head. May it please Him to bless this sale. Amen

A Prayer Room request from Gary. Please keep him in your prayers:

To be delivered from troubles
Comments: Please pray for me and my family. My wife died of breast cancer 18 months ago leaving three teenagers. I am not doing well. Doing all I can to cope. I have many friends who help me in many ways. In order to cope I have done many things that make me feel guilty. I haven't hurt anyone, but long to know God's strong unconditional forgiveness in my life. I feel sooo awful. And I have tremendous responsibility on me to raise these teens. Please pray for me. I need strength, guidance, hope, joy, forgiveness, and restoration. I feel exhausted most of the time and now feel physically sick, yet feel that I must continue to move ahead. I need prayer and healing. Thank you soo much for your site.

Response:

Heavenly Father, we bring before You Gary and we ask for Your help and guidance to be upon his life. In Your great love and mercy, hear our prayers for him.

His life has been turned upside down and he is dealing with the aftermath. Everything that he once knew as familiar has changed. We ask for Your comfort to be upon him on the tragic loss of his wife. We ask that the mourning period begin to stabilize. We ask that Your wisdom and patience be upon him as he raises three teenagers. Lord God, be a Father to Gary who needs Your love and influence right now.

Gary is in turmoil in his thoughts and is being buffeted by the enemy that brings guilt. Free Gary from this awful turmoil. Allow him to experience freedom in Christ, forgiveness and no condemnation. Make him to realize Your grace each day.

Grant him the ability each and every day to progress and move forward in Your Kingdom. Restore unto him the joy of his salvation. Give his life meaning once more. Minister to him Lord, that he might know You are a shelter of safety and sanity in his life.

Strengthen Gary for the journey ahead and allow Your blessings to fall upon him. We thank You that You have sent friends to minister to him, and we pray they will continue to be a Godly influence on him.

We know, Lord that You rejoice over Gary. Let him know how much he is loved by You, through Christ Jesus alone. Amen

Kathy, I am so glad you came back. I believe that God gathers us together, as He proclaims, in agreement. (excellent verse!) Both my husband and I have been filled with concern for you this past 24 hours. He never missed a house payment, but he knows how hard it is to raise a family.( He raise 4) I had missed a house payment or two,(I was single), but I know my prayers were answered. May God, your Father provide for you and prove that He is indeed your husbandman.

Lord God Father, it is not necessary that we are repetitiousness. Once You hear from Your throne You react. But we lift Kathy and her needs up to You and we ask for a sign of hope and help, through Christ Jesus Your Son who totally relied on You. Amen

Dear Kathy, I know what it is like to struggle to make ends meet making a mortgage payment. One month I sold a family heirloom to get cash, and one month I sold my jewelry. Providing a child with shelter is a very significant need in their life.

Loving Father, we turn to You on behalf of Kathy and her son and we ask You to help her find the funds to make a mortgage payment so that her home will not be repossessed. We ask You, gracious God to send relief in this situation. Open heaven's windows and send a financial blessing to Kathy. Please, Lord God save this home. Our earnest plea is made in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. We also ask in His name that her health be restored to her and that gainful employment be found. We are asking You, Almighty God to make a way where there seems to be none. We call upon You for these favors and we thank You for all the provision that You have sent in the past, and we thank You for the provision that You will send now. Amen

Can you please pray with me. I need the Lord to help me keep my home. I lost my job in December last year. Due to my health at the moment I cant hold a permanent job. My home is all I have. Today I received a letter from my mortgage people telling me that my house is being repossessed. If they take my home away from me I have nowhere to go as I have no family around that can help me in that way. I have a son but he doesnt earn enough to help me financially. Only the Lord can help me turn things around. I pray and I pray, I have handed all my problems to the Him and I want you to pray with me.

God bless you all.

Dave wrote this prayer for hurricane victims:

Prayer For Those Affected By Hurricane Katrina

Father God, You are sovereign. This hurricane is not a surprise to You. I pray, Dear Lord, for your hedge of protection around those that are now in the midst of this horrible storm. For those who are already a fatality, I pray for comfort for their families. I pray for hope and courage and strength to all those involved in the rescue efforts right now.
For those of us who are in the path of the remnants, I pray for protection and perseverance.

Lord, we pray for Your wisdom for our government leaders right now. May they act with compassion as they strive to provide relief as quickly as possible. I pray for the over 37,000 people who are now homeless and in some type of shelter. May they realize the peace of Your presence in a mighty way. May they be fed, clothed, and kept warm in their make-shift surroundings.

Father, through all this, may Your holy and mighty name be glorified.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Explorefaith.com wrote this prayer:

A Prayer for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina

O God, we remember when the disciples of Jesus were terrified after a long night on a turbulent sea. When they cried to you for help, you stilled the sea and brought them to safety. We ask now that you comfort and still the hearts of those suffering from the effects of Hurricane Katrina. We pray for those who have been displaced and who now must return to homes destroyed or damaged by the storm. We pray for those whose lives were lost and for those who now must grieve the loss of a loved one. We pray for those who are attempting to offer help and relief to victims.

While we wonder why such devastation can occur, where lives and property can seem held so capriciously in the hand of what is uncontrollable, we know, O God, that you count every hair on our head and that our names are written on the palm of your hand. Let your loving grace wash over those who must now face damaged lives, homes, and possessions. Hold them close to yourself until they are sure of the security of your loving embrace. Calm their hearts and still their souls, O Lord. We ask this for the sake of your love. AMEN.

One more:
A Hurricane Prayer

Lord Jesus, Messiah, King of the Universe, King of kings, Lord of lords, hear our prayer.
Father, we pray that you will be with all those who were unable to escape the rage and furry of hurricane Katrina. Make a way now for them to recover their lives, their homes, and their property. Dispense your merciful grace and peace. Comfort all those who have lost friends and relatives.

O Lord, hear all those who cry out unto You in their trouble, and bring them out of their distresses. Make the waves still so the people will rejoice and be glad because they are quiet.

Let us not be deceived by our mental imaginings that your arm is too short to help all who were in the path of Katrina, for it is absolute, and available if we but call on the almighty name of the Lord, b’Shem Yeshuam.

We Praise Thee! We give Thee all the Glory! We fall on our knees in Thanksgiving for your boundless Mercy and Grace.

Please pray for Becky and her children. This was posted via my message board:

Posted: Aug 27 2005, 10:13 PM

My niece Becky lost her 38-year old husband Tim on Friday. He commited suicide. No one knows why and there was no note. The worst part is that Becky and one of their daughters found him. Becky's sister Roxanne (also my niece, of course) called me this evening to let me know. Funeral arrangements are being made, and Roxanne will let me know the details.

I ask that you remember Becky and the four children Tim left behind. Thank you.

Response:

That is a terrible tragedy, Dave.

Almighty God, what a horrific shock Becky and the children have had over the death of Tim. There will never be a satisfactory answer. There will never be a place of coming to terms and peace. We ask You, Lord to be this family's comfort. We ask You Lord, to help them get through the grieving process. We pray that they each might know You and lean upon You for strength day by day. We pray, Lord that they can indeed remember the good times and the love. We also ask that they not be filled with self-condemnation. We pray that You will be present with them as they mourn. Comfort as only You can do, dear Lord. Amen

I have warned her and warned her verbally to get that thing ( OUija board) out of her house because it is cursed and will bring a curse on your life, but she won't heed to no avail. Also, at the direction of the Holy Spirit, I am not seeing her right now because the last time I stayed there, not only was a tormented by the demons that are with the board, but the spirits followed me and tried to curse my life. The scriptures I found on bible gateway are these:

Leviticus 20:17 A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.

I Chronicles 10:13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord and also because he consulted a medium for guidance.

2 Chronicles 33:6 After he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

Isaiah 8:19
And when they say to you, "SEek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter," should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?

Isaiah 19:3 The spirit of Egypt ( the world) will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, and they will consult the idols and the charmers, the mediums and sorcerers.

Response:
As a child in my home, ouija boards, fortune tellers and mediums were introduced. I can not blame my rebellious years on my parents, but I can blame on them that I did not have a Christian upbringing. My Dad came to Christ beyond the age of 80, just shortly after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's which is beyond Christ knocking any more. My Mom came to Christ 6 weeks before her death. Both parents after many prayers and much persuasion by me are now in heaven. I could have ignored their plight, but we have a duty. Yes, do it, even if it is not received. Here is a very recent prayer I have written against oppressing spirits. If you could get her to pray with you, as I did finally my parents, prayer never fails and neither does the blood of Christ.

Father God, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ and by merit of His shed blood, we address the bondage and the spirits which have come against us or those we know.

We pray for deliverance and help in His name.

We pray for victory in His name.

We pray for relief in His name.

We pray for wellness in His name.

We pray that each one prayed for or ourselves might accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and cling to Him through life difficulties as we walk through this valley. We choose today whom we might serve and it is Jesus Christ. "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!" In the name of Jesus, come out.

We pray that the same miracle working power that set captives free when Christ walked this earth is available now for those that are bound.

We ask You, God Almighty for deliverance from the evil spirits which have sought to bind us. We believe that You alone can set us free.

We confess that we might quite well have placed ourselves on a slippery path. We renounce the workings of the devil. We are seeking now restoration to the perfect path of Christ Jesus.

Evil has no authority over us. Christ is victor and He has conquered the devil and the minion of his hosts.

In the name of Jesus and by His authority, we ask for freedom and wholeness from all that torments us. Set us free and we will be free indeed. There is nothing that we desire to bind us, but the name of Christ Jesus, in which we pray. Thank You, God Almighty for freedom and deliverance. Amen

Regarding message #20--prayer for Millie. Here is her praise report. God did above and more than we ever anticipated:

This is me doing the happy dance! Praise the Lord. My grafts were all great! The cardiologist seemed surprised. Another one had read the test results as well. They had told me that according to my thallium stress test it looked like one of my grafts (from bypass) had shut down. It had not! I didn't have to have any further procedures and I was home by l:00 p.m. They now believe that I have had a very minor heart attack at some time and the damaged muscle was altering the results. I believe all our prayers were answered and I thank you so much for praying for me. God is good!

I'm relieved but exhausted. I didn't sleep very well last night and stress tends to make me tired. Please don't ever hesitate to ask me to pray for you or your loved ones. I've always believed it's a privilege to pray for others.

Pray for my kids, My two and the two extra in my home

mom2my2 Posted: Aug 22 2005, 05:20 PM

I have a program that allows me to see what my kids are doing on the computer. I am especially concerned because today one of my son's friends told him that another boy wants to fight him. The friend is egging him on.

My son says that he will fight him when he has time. That lets me know that he is not eager to participate in this. My son is on parole and if he gets in trouble he will go back to lockup.

I also have the transgendered son of my best friend ( who died last September) staying here about 4 nights a week. He went to a party about three weeks ago and used Ecstasy for the first time. He wants to get my daughter and son involved in this.

I promised my friend that I would look after her child, but I don't want him pulling my kids down with him. I have informed his father and we are trying to come up with a plan of action.

Please pray for us.

PS My foreign exchange student seems to be adjusting well and doing great. Pray that he can stay above the activity around him.

Prayer:
One of our members just wrote a prayer for our teenagers. I include that here and you have my prayers.

Thank You, Lord Jesus for making a way for us to come boldly to Your throne of grace to receive mercy and grace to help in time of need. Thank You that the prayers of the upright are Your delight. We praise You Lord that You are there for us, to hear our prayers and cries to You. Lord, we do not turn to anyone but You. We don't trust in the arm of flesh, but we look to You always. We have set You always before our eyes, because You are at our right hand, we shall not be moved. Please hear our prayers. Forgive us for our sins and all the ways we fall short; cleanse us from all unrighteousness and keep us from presumptuous sins.

Lord, we lift up our teenagers to You. Please speak to their hearts so that they will know You and want to know You more and more. Show them Your ways. Lord, You are so gentle and tenderhearted to us, please speak to these teenagers. Let them know that You love them and are living inside them. If any do not know You, please reveal Yourself to them so that they can be born again. For those who know You, we ask that You give them a deeper and greater thirst for You, for Your Word and Your Presence. Show them the beauty and joy found only in Your Presence. Keep them from all of the distractions from the enemy-those tricks that want to lure them away from You. Bind satan's plans for these teenagers and crush those plans. Don't let our enemy have his way. We ask for You to have Your way in their hearts and lives. Cause them to follow You from their youth; don't let them eat from the table of the enemy. Protect them and keep them close to You- abiding in You. Bring Godly fellowship and show them Your favor. Cause them to want to know You more. In Jesus' name. Amen.

An email request. Please keep Roger in your prayers. An email has been sent in response.

Candy,
Good Morning! Hope you had a good weekend? Please pray for me this week as I have to go to court to defend the Word of God! It is a pre-trial hearing before the expenses really begin.
Also,
Please visit this Prayer Site, http://praisethelord.phorumz.com/praisethelord.html that someone sent me a link too about a month ago. It is just getting started about two months ago.
Write back when you can, I realize that Mondays are usually Crowded!
In Christ,
Roger

Prayer: Father God, we are called in all sincerity to lift up the name of Jesus Christ and to proclaim it before all people. An opportunity arises this week in a quite unusual setting. As Roger goes to court to testify, we ask Your Presence go with him and be apparent to all that attend this hearing. We do not know the outcome, but we do know that we are to let are light in Christ shine before all men. For this reason we humbly ask You to make him a vessel of truth. We pray the Word You spoke to Ezekiel: Eze 3:26 and I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover; for they are a rebellious house. May Roger have poise as he goes to this appearance and may he only speak the words You authorize. Enable him in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen

Subject: Hello

It's me. You're friendly Email pest!! I have a favor to ask. I went down today for the follow up on the thallium stress test I had last Friday. I went in expecting the best. I'm always the eternal optimist. It seems one of my bypasses is shutting down. 8 years ago I had triple bypass surgery. They are going to do an angiogram next Tuesday at 8 a.m. If they can they will do a stent at that time. Now I've had an angiogram before and all went fine, though I know things can happen (a stroke, heart attack). Please pray for me that they can do a stent and all goes well. I really appreciate your prayers. Thanks so much.

I'm still using the old computer. I don't have my good? one back yet. Such a little thing right now!

Love you,
Millie

Lord God, we lift Millie up to Your throne of grace and we seek healing for her. With You, Lord all things are possible. We ask for a complete recovery. As she goes for the angiogram, we ask Your Presence and Power to fill that room. We ask that a hedge of protection be around her. We ask that You fill Millie with Your peace and calmness. Guide the doctors who will perform the stent. Protect her body from any ill effects. Make her whole and well again by this procedure. May our Lord Jesus, who is our Great Physician, heal her through His stripes. We thank You Father God for hearing and answering our prayers for Millie's wellness once more. Amen

Please join in prayer for Shawna. This was a prayer for cancer and I had the following request in response.

We can, through Christ, beat the cancer statistics. Lord, help us to be numbered as a survivor.

The shock, anger and denial of this disease attacking our body has been met faced on, Lord.

The questions, uncertainty and the facing our mortality has also been met faced on, Lord.

What we seek now, at the very least, is assurance that the treatments and medical advice will be the best available for our individual case.

The doctors talk about survival rates and statistics, but what we seek from You, Almighty God, is assurance.

Please, God direct us to the best treatments and supports that are available.

Please, God direct us to the best doctors and staff that is available.

Please, God grant us a clear mind that might participate in our own course of healing.

Please, God keep us updated of options that we might have.

Please, God keep our treatments reasonable and do not forsake us when they become overwhelming or tedious.

Please, God give us determination in our course of action and peace that passes all understanding as we, or others might question whether we are doing the right thing.

Please, God, as we have or doubts and uncertainties, send others that we might reason with. Give us not only supportive friends and family, but give us those that we might honestly share this burden with without condemnation or useless advice.

And above all, God, if we fail to survive, we ask that You prepare us for our death. We ask that we may be a glimmer of braveness and perseverance in all we do after receiving this diagnosis.

We ask for Your comfort, Your peace, and a clear mind that will testify that when we have done all we could possibly do, we rested in You, and we trusted in You.

Almighty God, we do ask for healing in the name of Your Son, Christ Jesus, but we are assured You are with us and preparing us for either the battle ahead, or the hope of joy eternal.

We lay this request at the foot of the cross, and we trust You for what is about to occur in our lives. We ask for exoneration of any thoughts of guilt or condemnation that might occur. We ask You for blessings when all else seems to fail.

We thank You for the spiritual blessings You are about to bestow on us, and we ask that it might also include relief for the physical and mental. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen

Shawna has been diagnosed with spinal cancer and has been given only 6 months to live. Please pray for a miracle in this young teen ager girls life. Thank you and may the blessings and hope come from our eternal Father, God in heaven. Thank you!

PRAYER: Lord God, such a tender and young life is Shawna. We do not accept the demise of a life so young. We feel for her suffering and we take it upon ourselves to ask Your mighty name for a miracle. We believe and trust in You that You will extend her life and make it pain free and valuable. No one, Lord but You can accomplish the impossible and that is what we are asking and trusing in Your precious name. Amen

Please pray for my children as it is back-to-school time here. For my 14 yod who began last week. She has had a good transition from homeschool to this public school charter started by a local church. May she learn what is necessary and develop healthy relationships with the other students. For my 17 yos who starts next week. It is his 3rd year in a mainstream public school. That he continue to have excellent grades but may there be true knowledge earned/learned. For them both that they would not allow their heads and hearts to be turned by the world, but would develop discipline to turn themselves to the Word. I pray this, also, for my 21 yos going back to college part-time. Also, that I can help him choose the courses that he should pursue. That he would gain friendship, fellowship and confidence this year (not necessarily at school). And lastly for my youngest child who is 12 today. She is away at camp for the first time ever. Pray that she would be blessed this day and safe from all harm. May this school year (at home) be fruitful as well, and our time together blessed. May we all be diligent and faithful in studying (in my case, teaching) our academics as well as His ways and truth for our lives. May my husband as well grow in his walk, and I lift up praise that he is attending a men's Bible study for the first time in his life. Help us both to be the examples of Christ we should be and not to "exasperate our children". In Jesus' name...

Prayer:
Lord God, we praise You for the family unit and especially Gracie's family. As her children return to school, we pray that You will watch over them, guide them and enrich them. May this transition time be one that will bring good memories as they look back upon the start of this school year. The parents are continuing to learn also Lord. Grace by teaching and her husband by studying the Bible. May they each have the mind of Christ. Gracious God, grant the desires of Gracie's heart in her petition to You, for You alone are our loving Father. We ask these requests in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

A message board request. I have replied to Barb via the message board. Please lift this family in prayer.

My sisters husband lost his job 2 weeks ago. My sister stated they let several people go. I suspect because of all the money his health insurance put out on my sister could be why he lost his job. I could be wrong, but with all her therapy, psychologist, psychiastrist and medication

I don't like the way my sister sounds. She has been known to try to committ suicide and Tony's health isn't the best either. I am really worried about both of them.
It is so hard to talk to her. Don't know what to say anymore. She will stop all of a sudden in the middle of a sentence and ask "what was I talking about?"
Alot of prayer is needed

Prayer:

Dear Lord, minister to this family. They have had a turn for the worse in employment and that can be very depressing. Raise their self-esteem. Give them hope. Be their all. Provide for their needs. Grant Tony a job with health coverage. Give meaning and purpose to their life. Care for them with the love of Christ Jesus and may He be sufficient through this troublesome time. Amen

Hi June Bug. You really have what St. Paul would call a thorn in your flesh. It is really a trial to have to deal with people that are so hate-filled. And we read that some of her estate is going to the church. How much better if she had actually attentively listened to the Sunday sermon each week and put that into practice. That could have been the legacy that she left behind.

We will always have people that will hate and despise us. Jesus said to expect it. He does not put a hedge around us and filter out those who have no love lost for us. What matters is our reaction to them. You have done right by talking to people about this hurt, and you have done right if you continue to pray for her.

These thorns in our flesh are given for one reason according to the Word. 2Co 12:7 And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.

God expects humility from us. He expects that we be dependent on Him. He expects that we lean on Him for strength. He expects that we trust that He knows what He is doing at all times.

I would avoid her as much as possible. I feel there is nothing wrong with cutting a person out of our lives. But we must continually turn to God via the Lord's pray and say from the heart, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us."

It is by God's grace and design that you do not become bitter. It is by God's grace and design that you remain the better person. It is by God's grace and design that you do not retaliate.

Gracious God, help June Bug and her family to be forgiving. Help them to lean on Your everlasting arms. Bring healing to them and acceptance that this MIL will not change. Help this MIL to see that soon she will stand before the judgment throne of Christ where all must be accountable. Bring the MIL healing also of the bitterness in her heart and cause her to have actions that are worthy of repentance. Be with this family, Lord as they deal with the hurts of this issue. We ask in the name of Christ Jesus who taught us to forgive when we stand to pray. Amen

May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding be with you!

I have a manipulative, lying, scornful mother-in-law. She has a me, me, me, I, I, I problem. My husband is her only child and he doesn't like her either. We very seldom visit her because of her constant complaining, viscous attacks about other people and all her lies, bragging and attacks on us. She will take a fabric of truth and build a huge whopper around it, and constantly add on to the story until she really believes it herself. She calls my husband and berates him over the phone, marching into his office and tells him he is not a man. On March 2,2002 she told him over the phone that she would bash him every time she had the change and would ruin his career!!!
She willed 60% of her estate to our only daughter (which we were delighted with) and the balance toward her church.
She has always held her money and property over our heads, trying to manipulate us. We have never cared about her property, my husband makes a fantastic wage. So her money is not a issue with us. I pray for her every morning and evening, asking God to help her see what she is doing to her only family. I also pray for the turmoil that runs through me everytime I think of her. I so dislike her and the devil really works on me to continue not speaking to her. It's been over 4 years now that we haven't spoken to each other, we all need prayer support. Can you help us or give us advice on how to handle this? I have spoken to my pastor, Barb's pastor, her brother (A professor of Greek and Latin at Bethany Lutheran College, retired) and many of her relatives. They all know about her bragging and exageratting but never correct her on it. I finally wrote her a long letter in the spring of 2002 and explained to her why we didn't come over. World War III broke out and I have received many letters from her that are so viscous. She has a memory like a elephant, brings up things that happened years and years ago. All the pain she went through while giving birth to my hubby, on and on and on. My husband and I will celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversay September 12th of this year. We have a wonderful marriage, the only thorn in our sides is his mom.
Help!

I Get Email! Post Your Requests Too.

Please pray!
Please remember Hannah's job situation (or lack there of at this point).
We are leaving Sunday morning (Aug. 7th) to go up to NY to see her Monday and then will return Tuesday. Her 22nd birthday is TODAY...Friday, Aug. 5th!
(In June before she left for a month in the Dominican Republic) She had been offered and verbally accepted a 4th grade class in the Bronx...and about the day she was to go to the Human Resources Office to do paperwork...the principal called and apologized. She was just handed down MAJOR budget cuts and could NOT promise that Hannah will have a teaching job this fall. The principal told Hannah to call her when she returned to the US.
Hannah left for the mission trip to the Dominican Republic hanging in limbo about the job... yet knowing that it is all in the Lord's Hands. Her month with the English Camps was great! She felt very blessed by the people that that Lord supplied to go down to help her teach the camps!!! She was blessed by the reconnecting of some relationships there...and how some of the students are spiritually maturing and desiring to become missionaries!!! She has now returned and has finally been able to leave a voice message on the Principal's phone...but has not heard anything in reply. (when she first returned to the US and tried calling the principal...she was not even able to get through to a voice message!)
Her present job is being a hostess in a Macaroni Grill. They have NOT come through with the number of "hours" that they had initially promised her when she was hired. The cost of living there is very HIGH and she could really use some piece of mind as to what to do with all these situations! She can not financially survive there in the present circumstances...something has to change!
Thanks for each and every prayer for intervention and divine guidance!
(feel free to pass this prayer request on to other pray~ers!!!)
Join me in...Bombarding heaven on Hannah's behalf!!!
Hoping we can encourage her on our 'quickie trip', while we are there!
Until later,

Connie

For I am the Lord their God, and I will hear them. ... Zechariah 10:6

Just a testimony of ongoing prayer. This prayer started in May and was answered with healing in July. I have two prayer rooms and two message board prayer chapels. This is an update of an answered prayer today including a praise report. I would love you to let your requests be known on this forum so that I might eventually have all prayers in one room.
