I will work within my department and then within my building to promote more workshops like this one.
I believe that these opportunities for sharing with and igniting new ideas in others is the key!

I will be available to mentor anyone who wants it. The organized and supported method we are using feels good. I have confidence that this three days has been valuable.

The Plan: The plan is to take a colllaborative approach to integrating technology into the classroom. To do this we will need a clear precise plan as well as leadership from all levels.
The Steps: A big and important step is for every teacher and administrator to set a goal for how he/she will use technology integration as a tool to enhance student learning. For this goal the teachers will need support from the building principals. One way for this to be possible is for the principal to sit down with every teacher and discuss this goal. Also there should be examples of effecive uses of technology integration for teachers to go by. Another step is to establish a leadership team that will help teachers take these steps forward.

The best part of this workshop was the participation of the administrators. I see their role as critical to the ongoing push to successfully and effectively integrate technology. We will need to get them on board and then offer the necessary support to all staff if we are going to MAKE them get involved. The list of goals will be agreat starting point for us and the District Tech Committee can work through the ideas here and get feedback from the buildings to involve as many as possible.

Embrace the dark side, Master Yoda, and join me as we send viruses to every computer in the district.

Create A vision (goal) Make a plan and find resources Take a risk Step out of your comfort zone Integrate technology with a purpose into the curriculum Shout it from the Mountain TOP and SHARE in a variety of ways.
I will do my best to encourage and support others in the use of technology in the classroom. Time, interest and fear can be overcome with the proper support. Successful integration will come with collaboration and good communication within the district. Training is KEY! Provide as much as possible.

I think a mentor network and matrix of experts is a great way to involve people that currently use technology in a nonthreatening way (avoiding the "green monster") I look forward to participating in either of these programs. I would love to see workshops or existing meeting times used for teaching new technologies and allowing teachers time to plan for ways to use the technology. Allowing time for professional development to work on technology integrations would also help. If our building tech committee is resurrected, I would be happy to serve on it as well. The most important part of this workshop was getting together people who are excited about using technology and willing to share what we know. We need to spread this excitement and information to our colleagues.

First, I'm willing to be a mentor. In the past, I've served in this capacity around grading programs to help provide both formal and informal help. As a department head, I'd like to build in a formal time for sharing during monthly department meetings ala the classroom updates already in place. Of course, I'm most exited about pursuing some of the great ideas shared and discussed oiver the course of these past threee days for my own professional growth. Thanks to all!

I will continue to keep the effective use of technology on the agenda in faculty meetings and department head meetings. I will also continue to demonstrate support for the use of technology by continuing to use it myself, encourage professional leave to improve ,through the budgetary process and by the ongoing recognition of appropriate and exploratory usage.

I plan to share existing good technology that applies to our curriculum with collegues and how all children were successful. I plan to update and brush up on technology skills by working with school techs to utilize their skills. I will email/call other teachers who have done effective projects and see if I can tie them in my lessons. I will email and make it a point to meet with collegues to share examples and be there to support questions they may have and accept criticism and make adjustments to make my lessons better. I would like the organization support us any way they can:)

Find out where the teacher is and work with them to enhance their classroom instruction. Be supportive of the staff in a positive proactive manner to encourage them to take risks. Become a leader in the effective use of technology so that i might become a mentor. teach, practice, reteach and demonstrate...
