hannah, /m75My dad (Chris Mannerings)actually did the roof on the equestrian centre down lower rainham. As I understand it, the problems were to do with the road being wide enough, but I will ask him and get back to you. Graham

Hi Im new to this site and do not live in the area. I am tracing my family tree and have found that in 1900 Lucy Medlam married William Hines and they lived at 35 Holland St, Christchurch. If anyone has any information please post a message

Hi Paul Bennett
I have a photo of a house at the bottom of Pump Lane but don't know if it is the one you are talking about. What side of the lane was it on? Regards Pam

Hi, Does anyone know any history to the old Matthew's Equestrian Centre just off Lower Rainham Road. I have just discovered it & find it all very interesting...all i know is someone called Tony Rocco built it about 20 years ago & shut down because the council wouldnt let a round go through??? I'd love any more detail. Hannah

Oh how sentimental all this is. My heart bleeds for the old Rainham. I've lived in Australia for 40 years but my heart never left Rainham. Did the Tottman's have a sheet metal working shop in Maidstone Road?
