The Egg. One boat dumped early and bailed out. No sense in spending the day COLD and WET. One took out at the the Forge. Two stopped at the Palace and made it to the Lake Ramp at nigthfall. Two paddled around the islands looking for the current to show them the way. First time kayaker is still dry. Lots of interesting conversation. We now own five boats. Jerry | | |

Any option for a shorter distance take out? I'm pressed for time on Saturday, but would like to make the trip if possible.

O/T - DVR/VCR Alert: New Jersey's Red October Slightly paddling-related... Anyone who's ever paddled any of the beautiful NJ Pine Barrens rivers has undoubtedly come across cranberries on the streambanks and possibly a cranberry bog or two. In time for Thanksgiving, WHYY is showing a short documentary on NJ's cranberry industry. I haven't seen it, but plan to! Did the Musconetcong today with hackensackrs, rocky stream of quick moving water. There are two short rapids in the Point Mountain section and some quick turns here and there but otherwise a nice journey along the rural Warren and Hunterdon Counties border.

I generally use "Mohican", but I'm doubtful that's correct. I'll pass along the link.
