Hi Nancy-- I love your birds, too. And I do think mine looks like Swarovski (or at least a Swarovski-wannabee).
And for the porcelain pig, I think the suggestion of a porcelain spoon with a curly tail is probably right. And I will have fun looking for one at future shows.
Would the mustard have been the dry type or the prepared type?

Hi everyone. Ditto to all the compliments about the newsletter. It is always interesting to read!! Debi has listed some more salts for me and reduced a few. What a great job she does! Yvonne

This is my bird bath that my mother got me before she passed away. It is similar to Cathy's, except it has a mother bird and two little ones.

Just wanted to add my thanks to all who made the National Newsletter so informative and fun to read. Debi, fantastic job...as with everything you do! Lisa, Mary & Kent, thanks for sharing your areas of expertise! Jim & Ed, nice job on your articles, loved seeing the convention pictures and all of Don's lovely salts! And Jane, I enjoyed your short story even more the second time around...keep 'em coming!!
Susie, Congratulations on your salt find! Looks like you are well on your way to yet another great sub-collection!!

Hi, Sandy: Sure, you can ask. I thought I made them easy enough to figure out, but I guess not. Jane

Yes, I also enjoyed the newsletter too. It was great. Kent's article was so informative and had such great pictures. We really need a book on these and other table salts. Great job Kent. Loved the article on wood salts and the juniper tree. Never new that before. Also the convention article and pictures were great. Could see a lot more of those though.
Great mystery Jane. I figured out some of your names (great idea) but not all of them. Can we ask? LOL
Yes, the salt is for Vincent Price. The salt was made in 1960 and no later than 1965 by the Imperial Glass Company. They were put out by Sears and sponsored by Vincent Price. The large S on the base is for Sears. According to Ed Berg in his Salty Comments "this salt was part of a line of "National Treasures" glassware made by Imperial for Sears. The VPNT is for Vincent Price National Treasures."
Now can anyone find me one of those last entries with the swan on the bottom.
Sandy

Wow, Susie - congratulations!! Those are beautiful. I'm thinking you could quit your day job and become a salt dealer. You manage to find the most amazing things, you lucky girl!

Thanks Nina and Lyleann -
These are bigger than any of my other salts, that is why I wanted to be sure and ask - I do like this size - and it seems the English salts may be a bit bigger? Appreciate it!

Hi Susie, Now I am drooling...that's one that I don't have !!! Congratulations...they are gorgeous.
Received my National Newsletter today and Debi you did an outstanding job on editing your first edition. As you can imagine I really enjoyed Kent's article....since pedestals are my favorites.
