Thank you to everyone who replied to my comment. I was not trying to insult the seller but I just found it very misleading. Sometimes when I am very tired or in pain, things do get fouled up in my head. Chemotherapy does that to you. Sue

Sue, most of us get mixed up for no good reason at all, lol! And sellers as well as buyers really should pay attention to inconsistent details. With all the fraudulent sellers around, it's wise to notice these things and question them.

Take care, Lea

Hi All

Just posted a new list Nr 35 of older salts on my website page indicated.

Also do no forget to check the Contemporary list as it has a lot of older salts no longer being made by Summit and Wetzel.

Just in case someone has already put it in thier watch - will state it this way - although it is not a hidden item and is listed as an open salt - Jim and Marlene have one of Jan's salts up for sale - It is one of the recently discussed boat shaped pedestal salts in amber -- Pretty piece if you are looking for one or just looking - Mary

Hi - not sure why the link isn't working to my name Susie on the selling page, but any questions please email me directly: sproctor@ccrtc.com - must be something on my end - will have to talk to my ISP - Thanks!

Hi, Susie: I know in my case it's not your ISP. For some reason every time there is an email link like that it tries to send it through Office Outlook, which I don't use, instead of Outlook Express, which I do use. Very frustrating!

For those of you having trouble when you try to reach someone through the links on the website, try this:

Click on the START button on your desktop
Go to Settings
Go to CONTROL Panel
Go to INTERNET OPTIONS
on the top tabs, select PROGRAMS
Then look and see what you have set for your email. There's an arrow for a drop down menu. Select the right one.

I hope this helps. I use AOL email so mine is set on AOL. If you have an email program other that the one you normally trying to open when you click a link on the selling page, chances are you have that one set as your email program. If that doesn't do it, I am out of ideas. I do not think it's the email recipient's problem either. The easiest way to email anyone is to learn to use your address books. All you would have to do after opening an email to send is start to type in the person's name and the email address will appear for you to select. Could not be easier and you don not have to use any links.

Thanks for the "links" tips, Debi.? I tried your suggestion, as I use AOL e-mail too.? I believe my problem is Vista (grrr!!!) on this new computer as I went through the steps and AOL must be buried waayyy in the depths somewhere.? Everything seems to be "Microsoft mail."? I had no problem with the links on XP?before Vista.??

I prefer your second suggestion of using direct e-mail addresses if I had them for everyone.? I add them to my contacts whenever anyone lists their address?on the chat page or if I've already bought from someone.? But, like Cathy---I had never even heard of her before.? I pray for the early arrival of 7!!!

Jo???

Hi all! I have a question regarding the Mexican glass salts. I have one that is kind of green in color, and made with a lot of manufacturing flaws (roughness, etc). I thought I heard, or read somewhere that these salts were made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles. Is this rumor, or fact? Thanks for your help!

Lisa :)

Hi, all: I just got an email purporting to come from PayPal. It was a Notification of Limited Account Access. They said they need additional information in order to allow me to use my account and gave a link to where I can provide it. If you get one of these, DON'T DO IT. Forward the entire email to spoof@paypal.com. Hopefully they will be able to put a stop to this. They tell you to then delete the email right away.

Hello,Not sure if this is the proper procedure on this forum or not.First time here :-) I have this posted on the ebay pgp board and it was suggested that I post here for help.I'm not sure if they are open salts.

This may be newer.2 scalloped rim ruby stain dishes in a caddy. My first thought when I bought it was Heisey Colonial but I'm pretty sure it isn't. The dishes have a 3 3/16"dia. marie? bottom.Top is 4 3/16"dia. x 1 3/4" tall. The bottom has 8 short rays,8 long rays and 16 medium rays.In the order of long, medium, short, medium, long.

Hi Carl: If I am reading your measurements correctly, the top of each bowl is over 4" diameter. I would say that's rather large to be an open salt and pepper. More likely it's what is called a sweetmeat or jam and honey condiment dishes. Doubles, as we salt collectors call them, are never that large. The red rims are very pretty though and a collector of that type of glass wouldn't generally care what the item was.

Thanks Debi, I thought they were rather large to be open salts. It was suggested I post here therefore I did :-) Thanks again.
