Ann, Homero, Freud, Joan et al: Mil gracias. La semana pasada recibi oferta de trabajo que no pude reusar (de parte de HP), asi que al menos de momento he abandonado el enterpeneurial pursuit, que estaba muy divertido pero al cuál le faltaba todavía more time than I could afford to wait para empezar a dar suficiente bolillo... Gracias de verdad a todos, quienes por este y otros medios, brindaron buena vibra y gran apoyo moral durante una difícil transición...

Hola a todos, una pregunta técnica.
Alguno de ustedes vive en NY o conoce a alguien que viva en NY y que pueda recibir a mi esposa y a mi hija del 22 al 28 de Noviembre.
Como algunos de ustedes saben mi hija está empezando su carrera de modelo y su agencia en Mexico nos ofrece llevarla a presentar a las agencias en NY, pero tenemos que pagar los gastos nosotros y en estos momentos estoy muy corto de dinero, espero que alguno de ustedes me pueda ayudar.

Lastima! Pa' la otra! Yo tambien viajo mucho por motivos de trabajo, y siempre las agendas son muy apretadas. Justo estuve en Roma la semana pasada donde tengo muy buenos amigos, y lamentablemente no tuve tiempo de saludarlos por el mismo motivo.
De hecho, viajo mucho a Mexico y ni ahi a veces tengo tiempo de saludar a nadie. Con el que a veces me veo es con Agustin Guiterrez. A el no me lo pierdo, siempre escoge muy buenos lugares para cenar.

En mi caso, los ex-patrones nos han "graduado" a varios miles en tres "ceremonias" a mediados/fines del 2008 y dos en lo que va de 2009. Also a first for me, but thankfully it hasn't gotten too trying yet; just obviously unpleasant to be thanked for a productive decade in such a way...

Rebecca - thanks for the info. Homero - sera para la proxima and there is likely to be several (if all goes well). La verdad es que el viaje estuvo tal que no hubiera tenido la oportunidad de ver a nadie. I was hoping for an evening or two off but was in the 12-14 hour day Wall Street mode. Ya la conoceran varios - you see three things during your trip ... airplanes, the office and your hotel room and little else.
Hector - I feel your pain brother - after being relocated by a company to Mexico City and after not even four months of being at the new job ... pues guess what... I was given the "opportunity" to look into other things. As with many these days - it was a first for me and led to an interesting and trying time - let me know if I can help. I looked into a few franchise opportunities - one which may actually be attractive to you given your systems background - am happy to share my impressions.
