I loved this article. How stimulating! Our church works in a very poor neighborhood, and we're looking for ways to help our new friends break out of poverty. The thing that concerns me the most is that our Canadian government has so many handouts, it tends to create dependency and destroy personal initiative. I'm wondering if the poor in fourth world countries tend to be more entrepreneurial because there is no social safety net.
