Hi Joyce,

Right now there is a hold on publishing an updated volume of our family history. There is a database that Mike Fischer and others have established to be available to association members until a final decision is made. Also as genealogist for the association I am in the process of sourcing both of George William's books plus adding additional information as I receive/research it.
If you have information tying your family line to Joseph Bolles of Wells, ME, I would be interesting in obtaining copies of it. Please drop me a note or write to the PO Box with your questions and/or information.

What do you think of having a call in conference once a month to ask, exchange, or learn something about our family's history?

There would be no charge for attending, other than the cost of your call if you do not have free long distance telephone service. The open confernce line would be about 30-45 minutes long, most likely on a Saturday or Sunday.

Please post your comments and thoughts

I am trying to confirm whether my family is related to Joseph Bolles. My grandfather's great grandparents were Hannah Pope Bolles and DeWitt Clinton Loudon. I believe Hannah's father was a Reverend(?) David Charles Bolles. Am I correct that they are direct descendants of Joseph Bolles who came from England to New England in the 1600's?

I have the Bolles line through Ruth Bolles who married John Shaw Snow. They had Timothy Snow who married Anna Jenne and had Lemuel Snow. Lemuel Snow married Delia Ames. They had Adeline Snow who married Elisha Bassett and had Sarah Bassett who married Henry Oliver Jones. This Jones line comes on down to my grandmother and the Jones line goes back to Ralph Jones from Barnstable, MA.

I am trying to locate the grave of my 4th Great Grandmother, Margaret Bolles Plumbe (1738-1812); daughter of Isaiah (Josiah) and Lydia Powers Bolles; first married to Frederick Lee, then to Green Plumbe. Margaret & Green were married 22 Mar 1758 in New London, New London. They moved to East Haddam (Middlesex), where Green died in 1807, and is buried in Long Pond Cemetery (beside his daughter Elizabeth). Margaret Bolles Plumbe died 11 Feb 1812, but I've been unable to locate her grave. Thanks for the help!
