This is the only post I read, and I completely agree with it all. This is the new age "fall of the Romans" and George Bush is the anti-christ. I cannot believe that I am living to see such a time. I always grew up thinking that I lived in the best nation on Earth. Now, I am 27 years old, struggling, trying to get married but we can't afford it, and wondering do I really want to bring children into this world? Since George Bush has taken office, this country has contined to declince in almost every area. We are in deep trouble because of this administration yet much of the country rallies around him like he is God. I think people take less political action because they are complacent with they're life, esp financially and do not want to rock the boat. People should start blaming themselves instead of blaming the president. After all it was the people who voted for him TWICE. If people have the power to change the actions of government how come they dont do so?

I think Obama might make a good president however he needs to come up specific plans to get voters energized by September. If he does not he will lose in the Preseidential election.

The Democratic ticket will be Obama/Clintion hopefully not Obama/Clinton plus Bill Clinton. Obama did not sink Hillary's campaign Hillary's husband Bill sunk her campaign. She should have devorced his ass and claimed her independence.

The Republican ticket will be Mccain/Romney. I'm not a Republican but I think it would be interesting if Romney would be the Republican nominee. It would definitely make debates more interesting. Mccain is too much of a flip flop who uses is POW card to say he more American than anyone else and who beckens to the call of Corporate America and the disorganized Bush Administration. I'm not a POW so I'm not American enough.

I have no idea why the American people voted for Bush once. I say ONCE because I am convinced that he stole the first election. I am still upset at Gore for conceding so quickly.
As for the second election, he pushed the terror buttons on the people of our country. It also didn't hurt that the Democrats offered up John Kerry as an alternative. Kerry reminded me of Jimmy Carter. They both wanted to do good, but were too weak to get anything done.
When it comes to the war in Iraq, who else should we blame if not the "president"?

Actually, if people REALLY wanted change, they would pool their spare change together and make their own lobby groups, make SURE they get heard. Also, the internet has been a great tool for the little guys to have a voice, like with this forum. I would gladly pay more in taxes and help if I knew that my money was going toward Education, and the betterment of society as a whole. Not a "winner take all" mentality. Many People don't think about the next generations really. They only think about what they want and how to get it. That's not the right way to change America. But then again, I'm too much of an idealist I guess, so I apologize for being progressive. I vote because I hope that the electoral college will abide by my vote, which is what they're supposed to do anyway.

First of all, I am not a superbrain about the inner workings of politics. But I think the presidency should be decided by the popular vote. My husband has NEVER voted, because he feels that whatever he does, doesn't count. As far as someone insinuating that we, the people, voted for him TWICE, well, it wasn't me. I never voted for the prick.I never trusted his agenda, I can't stand Dick Cheney, and everyone with a half an ounce of brains in their head knows the 2nd election was gift wrapped and handed to Bush on a silver platter. I also heard someone remark that they hate to admit it, but they hate their country. No matter what, I love my country. I would rather die than live anywhere else. But It's the spirit of the people and the desire to have a better, really free life that makes up the heart of what the USA is all about. I proudly fly my flag, and I still believe that things are able to get bettter. But, do I trust the government? Not one bit!I think Bush and his rich cronies are assholes who are out to get what they can, while they can, for themselves. I am hoping the dem ticket is Obama/Clinton. To me, that seems like an impossible team for the republicans to beat.
