1. Even though Bush is refusing to take effective action against illegal immigration, this is an old problem caused by both parties, and the problem goes way, way back.

2. Bush did not push for NAFTA and GATT that really did produce a giant sucking sound, that happened on Bill Clinton's watch, as a matter of fact, Bill Clinton pushed for NAFTA and GATT, as did most members of his administration, and unchecked immigration that brings in millions of unassimilated immigrants, plus NAFTA and GATT are what is turning the U.S. into a third world country. Check the label of most consumer products including food, and most of the time you will see not made in the U.S.A., that includes a lot of our food.

3. Bill Clinton screwed the labor unions that put him in office, see number 2 above.

Relentless, you are correct in saying that illegal immigration is an old problem, but when a president is in power, he should attempt to once and for all resolve old problems, not make thousands of new problems in addition to failing to solve old problems like Bush has. And yes, NAFTA is a bad agreement, but did Bush actively oppose this and other nefarious free-trade agreements? Most Republicans support free trade, a market economy and globalization (neoliberal economic politics). Economically no one could ever call me a Republican, as I want fair trade/protectionism, exorbitant tariffs, a command economy, socialism/ total government ownership of schools, businesses, etc., and an end to globalization. America produces much of the world's food, but even so, our produce comes from South America sometimes and our nuts from Asia, etc. etc. And practically ALL of our products are made overseas, even those by American companies. This is an outrage. Everything you can buy in the USA should be made here. We are a superpower capable of cutting ourself completely off from the world and surviving only on domestically produced products and food. Why the heck don't we? Republicans, explain to me how you can possibly support free trade when you also want to ban the burning of flags and want the draft. The duplicity and hypocrisy of your party sickens me. True patriots burn their country's flag when they want to send a message to the people that the country is on the wrong track. Bush was governor of Texas when Clinton pushed NAFTA through. My questions are, how much influence did governors have in the debate over NAFTA and did Bush oppose NAFTA, push for NAFTA, express concerns about NAFTA? Did any U.S. governors' conference discuss NAFTA, did Bush attend, and what was his position?

During the NAFTA years and Clinton years, the Republicans I know were opposed with equal force to NAFTA, GATT and Clinton and they were joined by Democrats in that opposition, many of those Dems were union members. How about that? Union members working together with Republicans. Happens a lot more than the news media will admit, it doesn't fit their templates for either Republicans or blue collar union guys.

America itself is not at fault. Government is not at fault. I love America, although in a different way than some, and I love big government. But the current government in America is to blame. Not paying taxes will not solve a thing. You sitting in a jail cell won't doing too much good. You must petition the leaders and government officials to stop ruining things. And if you want to take it one step further, be a politician yourself and work to change things, and eventually try for the Presidency. What is your opinion on the production of nuclear weapons, particularily in Iran, KMA? As you may have gathered, I'm an absolute pacifist. I don't think anyone should have nuclear power, let alone nuclear weapons. But the first step in dearming the world is to ourselves destroy all of our nuclear power and weapons and make an example to the world. Then we should strongly recommend that Europe follow our example, and then the 'third world countries" will as well. With respect to Iran, what should we do about them? Personally, we have no reason to suspect they are not going to do as they say. If they tell us they only want power for their people, we should discourage the creation of nuclear power plants, but not through violent means, because they wouldn't lie. Other than that, we should leave them alone and stop being such an interventionist imperialistic nation. True, Iran is run by a president and a council of radical clerics who might not be in their right minds, but it is the people at fault, not the institution. The idea of an Islamic Republic run by Muslim priests is an excellent one, but it will not work as priests are regrettably not perfect and the system has great potential for religious and political repression by a mentally insane few, as is the case at present. But it is not the U.S.'s job or anyone's to oppose this kind of madness through any force whatsoever. Make peace with the world, and the repressive regimes will eventually go away. One of the last things that Governor George W. Bush did was to execute Karla Faye Tucker. Since becoming president he has kileed God only knows how may. Perhaps hundreds of thousands. I came on this site to try and gauge if there were people in America who find Bush as scarey as most people in Britain do. Even people on the right in this country think he's a stupid and dangerous man. That is not us trying to be superior, how can we be ? If Bush is stupid, what does that make Tony Blair ?Who is considered to be Georgie boys lap dog, always willing to do his masters bidding. Information is power. Someone from SC brought up the self-righteous, self-proclaimed "Christians" from this state. That is SC's problem. Republicans like Bush (and for that matter, our governor) love to appeal to all of the "Christians" here come campaign time by visiting churches, etc, and saying all of the right "Christian" things. Works every friggin time! It's as if they (the voters) forget about HEALTHCARE, EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION, CONQUERING COUNTRIES UNDER FALSE PRETENSES- you know, issues that likely will affect them while the Bu$h family either benefits from or doesn't have to worry about.

It is frustrating that people can be so ignorant that they would put a man (GB won nearly all of the South and Midwest, for that matter), who had shown zero competence in his first term, BACK in office!!

And speaking of the invasion, IMHO, the people our troops are being sent over to fight have demonstrated that they are more than willing to blow themselves up if it means they can take out a few of our troops in the process. I ask, how can an enemy like that be defeated?

Further, Bush has put us so far in debt helping himself cash in on our "addiction to oil," that if he were to resign now, it would take SEVERAL good presidents for this country to recover, if it ever will.

My thought is that the reason the american news covered the anna nicole thing to sickening depths was the global warming reports by more then three hundred renouned scientists world wide came out with some startling news, less then two weeks ago. Bush,not wanting anyone to know the truth of his disgusting behavior,(pushing fossil fuels instead of alternate fuels, helping big business polute the earth with toxins oozing from their factories, actually helping to accelerate global warming through neglect and telling people everything is alright and the theory doesn't hold water because it won't line is pockets, etc.) took out the puppet media and compelled them to talk about anything else. we are sick of hearing about the war and the disaster it is, so go with the next big thing. 21st century Marylin Monroe. On a British day time television program today it was asked why we needed to upgrade the trident nuclear program and it was stated that the future was uncertain and that one day we could be at war with America the way things are going and our country being taken over by immigrants i.e Muslims that is a possibility.

Tony Blair needs to wake up a bit. It's simple, if he stops going to war with countries illegally, then he reduces the risk of terrorist attacks and becoming very unpopular. If he doesn't upset bush, he reduces the risk of getting invaded by America. if he stands down shortly he reduces the risk of being assinated. Upgrading the trident program will be seen by other countries as a threat and therefore increase the chances of being attacked. Afterall WMD is supposed to be why we have totally destroyed life for Iraqis is it not?

The other thing i wanted to bring up was the 'son of starwars' defence system that has been developed in the US, even though the government agreed not to develope weapons like that, so the fact that they have developed it, means that they are undermining, untrustworthy, happy to go against the will of the UN and ignorant of democracy, which by their own standards makes them a rogue state. well, actually he has changed and written in laws that createe loopholes so he can get away with this repugnant behavior. nobody understands him anymore, not even his voter base. hopefully, after he leaves office, he will be brought up on many charges for his irresponsible actions. but i'd bet nothing will happen at least until then. he says he talks to god, but so does the pope. how can they have so many conflicting ideologies? i guess that's why they say god works in mysterious ways. i would think if anyone would back him up it would be the vatacin, but they don't even understand him.

Just pointing out that the British are planning to renew their Trident missile defense system over the objections of environmentalists and progressives. The recent massacre is Bush's fault and his responsability. He has seen this before and refused to change the laws on accessing guns as that would mean he couldnt play cowboy anymore. He is the reason a young, possibly mentally ill, man managed to get hes hands on two guns and take the lives of 32 people. How many people need to die for this to become a problem for him? I read that 30,000 people a year die from gun shot wounds in America. If this is true thats 82 people a day on average. Thats sick, and worse is that this doesnt seem to be a number large enough to worry him or even provoke a speech on how he will take action when we all know it will just be talk that disspears when this tragic event is forgotten about.
It will be forgotten about sooner than it should by all except the families of those that were murdered. Dont think they will forget.
Even Bush I have no doubt will forget it, like he forgets most things, until this happens again. It will happen again. Id bet my own life on that!

That mentally unstable young man may not have taken his rage out that way if the guns he used had not been so easily accessible. Bush and his school of 'thought' - that everyone who wants guns will get them legal or otherwise, and that if everyone has guns no one will use them - has serious flaws in them. If guns were banned, seized on sight, and broken/melted down, and the federal penalties for manufacture, distibution, purchase, possession and use were far harsher than standards today, the current gun supply 'floating around' would starve and eventually evaporate. America has one of the highest homicide rates in the world, directly because we have one of the most gun-toting populations in the world. Anyone who can't see the link and say "This is wrong" isn't worth talking to.

I don't know what the situation is like in the US, but in britain the government tackles behavioural problems in young people the complete wrong way.
Kids are the future, basically, so how do you let them grow up? in an environment where thay are given respect and the freedom to learn to think for themselves. That would be a great idea.
Instead however the government have introduced ASBOs and made hoodies and baseball caps typical trade marks of a yob. I wear a hoodie sometimes and the only thing I've ever done to be met with slight disapproval is made my views known when i feel that myself or anyone else has been treated unfairly (which i do occasionally) I have never broken the law or disrespected my elders unduely etc.

I travel on buses most of the time, and the other day I saw a young boy (about 6 years old). I knew he was about to fall over, and as he started to go down I caught him and guided him back towards his mother. If I had let that child fall he could have been quite seriously hurt, so I saved his mother the grief of that.
If someone saves your kid an injury, you say 'thank you'. but not if they were saved by some emo kid who looks a bit gothic. However, new occurrences of animals in places where they have not previously resided is frightening. Did they take away the withdrawal date? Wasn't that the main point of the bill? Politicians are so two-faced and slippery.

Its probably best that bush does nothing about global warming. the 'giant space mirror' plan could be more catastrophic than just letting the world heat up. The sun is a ball of gas and it's fairly unstable. So the cunning plan is to direct it's rays back at it and thus heat it up more? Oh clever, really clever. Global warming may (or may not) be happening. What ever Bush does about it (nothing or space mirrors) we're all going to die as a result. His very existance and stupidity is threatening mankind. as a brit myself, i hav to say the world would probably hav been a better place if britain hadn't 'brought civilization' so called to all those many places. because of early brits many important races were wiped out. Native americans, aberiginies, some african tribes...they were better off without us.

Just then, Cheeny pulled his thumb out of his mouth and an odd "bloop" noise could be heard. Daydreaming about his lesbo daughter's wild living room parties was good for only 23 hours a day. Now it was different, Old Dubya was in the room-- an oil man just like himself!
 
"We have to keep the mid-east as stormy as possible so that oil stays in the ground. Each time that happens the cash registers at Haliburton go ding ding ding", he said, hoarsly.

"Ah, what more do you want," said the old Dubya, "we got a storm of a civil war going, got everybody killing everybody else..."

"Its a real mess," said Condi, "rag tag irregulars are whupping our army", she said, "we have done enough fat man," she scolded.

Cheeny blue a thin stream of cigar smoke into her black, angry face.

"Fuck you," Cheeny snarled..."you promised me U.S. pump prices would exceed 5.00 a gallon, the best that's been done is 4.01 a gallon", he continued.

"He's right," sad the old Dubya, "we could easily get U.S. pump prices up to 6.00 even 7.00 bucks a gallon," he hazarded.

"That was my idea," yelled little Dubya from under the desk.

"What's that under the desk," yapped old Dubya, his face angry and contorted.

Just then Rumsfeld hollared, "A spy an Al quada spy, Bin Laden under the desk...gimme my severence check he screamed."

"Shut up", said Cheeny. "Bin Laden's over at my place swimming in the pool and attending a living room party with my daughter...we will be talking oil prices later," he said, winking at old Dubya.

"He ha ". said old Dubya.

"Whats that noise?" said Colin Powell, ever on the military alert. He peeked out the door.

"Gad, it's Carl Rove cumming down the hall...," he yelped.

"Watch this," said Cheeny, secret trip wire I had the CIA install, "just pull on this right now and watch Rove trip in the hall, completely invisible, works everytime, I used to trip the secretarys to look up their dresses with a little camera", he chuckled.

He pulled the wire and Rove's yelp could be heard by all. Little Dubya and Cheeny chuckled loudly.

Condi's face suddenly contorted with hatred.

"So that how the pictures of my underwear got on the internet," she screamed. With a leap, she grapped at Colin Powell's throat, growling like a wild animal she raced about the office after Powell; a two person donnybrook that saw both Cheeny and big Dubya seek refuge under the same desk....

"Boss, Boss, save me:, howled Powell but to no avail.

Anyone out there been to Germany recently? I just went out there for a bit and you know they are really well organised. They recycle everything, their public transport runs regularly and punctually, and there is baely any litter anywhere. The secret to this is incentives and deterents. If you buy a coke from some places, they charge you an extra 25cents. You take the bottle back, they recycle it and give you back the 25cents.If however you drop that bottle on the floor, you get fined 200euros, and it works. If every country did little things like that, we would be able to at least slow down global warming, if not prevent it all together...but no instead we start wars, and come up with braindead ideas like space mirrors.

PS. Dear I Love the USA...it's strange how so many people seem to think british people are 'cool' and have 'cute accents' what gives people that idea?? Seriously, I was staying in a hotel in Belgium and these american guys were there, one randomly came up to my friend and said 'oh my god, you guys are british? Thats so cool, I'd love to go to England' I was stood there kind of nodding and thinking 'yeh it's like america only smaller, with less money, and more fields'
