Today, Barack Obama's historic inauguration as our country's 44th President and its first African American President also marks the long awaited departure of George Bush form the halls of power. Now we hope that justice can be served on Bush and Cheney for the crimes they have committed against all Americans and people of the world during their misbegotten administration. Hail to the Chief and Ding Dong the Bush is gone!!

Barack Obama is a person with vision, wisdom, knowledge and intellect and we Americans are fortunate to have him as our President-elect! I still HATE George Bush and Dick Cheney for the deep hole they have put this country in while blindly governing with their visionless, self-serving agenda. Their actions during their eight years in power were criminal and I hope that justice can be served on them if only as an example to future politicians who would put their own self interests above those of the people that they serve. Ten more weeks of Bush/Cheney is an excruciating eternity for those of us who have long yearned for a just and inspired presidency.

As mature voting members of a democracy, we have the responsibility to elect a president with the vision and wisdom, intellect and knowledge to lead our our country wisely. When Americans elected George Bush and then re-elected him four years later, too many were motivated by fear and ill-reasoned logic. To elect a man with such questionable qualifications, intellect and ethics to perhaps the most demanding and difficult job in the world, the Presidency of the United States, still boggles my mind. Bush's eight years in office have been disastrous for our country and the world, leaving us with an economy in tatters, entangled in two wars, with the rest of the world wondering why in the hell would the USA ever elect and re-elect such an unqualified, narrow minded buffoon to the highest office in the land. The clear lesson for those of you in the "Red" states is that when you vote for a president,even more important than political affiliation, you must select the person with the intelligence, heart and vision who can lead this country wisely. Pick the one who proposes positive measures to improve our country rather than the one who plants fear and cynicism among us, the one who has specific plans to move us forward rather than the one who sows mistrust and suspicion. You've already been down the road guided by fear, mistrust and suspicion these past eight years and the results have been disastrous.

I think what is going on is that people want to believe. Even if they don't understand what they are asked to believe in; they need to believe. So much so, that when someone spins a yarn about being your good buddy and havin' a beer wit ya'll just right after i deal with this A-rab, you want to believe and trust so badly, that before you know it, your eyes widen, and they pulled a jeti mind trick on you. It's a bit sad, but what do you expect when people are thirsting so badly for leadership, they would drink the equal of mud just to sate their thirst. P.S. Mr. Rogers, we didn't all vote for him, and we are not all dumb fucks.

the thing i don't get is Kennedy got shot before finishing a single term probably because of his sympathies with the civil rights movement, most believe that Obama will be shot if he gets in because of racial violance, bush manages to last right out until he's not allowed to stand again, kills hundreds of people, fucks up everything and he lives as doesTony Blair. What the hell is wrong with this world?

It's hard to believe that this fool has been our puppet president for the past 8 years. It will take a gigantic effort on the part of the next administration and all Americans to undo the all the damage he has done to our country. January cannot come fast enough to rescue us from this idiot!

It's really embarrassing having Bush as "president". I know all other countries must have lost what little respect they did have for us. He has destroyed any semblance of honesty this country ever enjoyed.
